What did you name The Forgotten?

Hey everyone! I just finally reached this part of the game's story. When thinking about what to call The Forgotten, I decided to go with "The Distracted" because I honestly identify a lot more with being distracted than forgotten! I’m super curious to know—what name did you guys choose for yours?

Also, I really wish we had the option to change their dark and gloomy look. Now that they are safe and living in the Valley with us, it would be so nice if their appearance reflected that healing, instead of keeping the shadowy aura. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Finally finished Mythopia with Aphrodite, Hades, and Hercules builds!

Literally haven’t touched three biomes in Mythopia ever since Storybook Vale came out. So, so happy to finally have everything I need to finish it.

This starpath was everything to me, as I love Greek mythology. Combined some things from our mermaid star path for Aphrodite’s build, Hades got some stuff from the wicked starpath, and Hercules’ items pair well with Glamour Gulch flora.

My Honest Guide/FAQ To Watering Dried Flowers for Memories

My Honest Guide/FAQ To Watering Dried Flowers for Memories

Hello Dreamers! I recently completely my last collection for the game, and it was tedious, satisfying, yet painful! For players who care to finish this memory task, I hope my maps, technique, and FAQ help you!

Q: What are Dried Flowers?

A: They are the existing biome flowers that become black and dusty! They can be watered by using a Royal Watering Can. When cleared, they yield either a Memory Shard or nothing. You cannot pick up the flower until it has been watered, but don't pick it up if you are trying to complete the collection!

Q: Why do we care?

A: They give you memory orbs to complete a puzzle. If you want to complete 'Dried Flowers' collection, then you'll want to water it. Memories from Dried Flowers are the hardest collection, let alone activity, to complete in the game. It's the only game mechanic that is non-deterministic. No amount of grinding will help you get the orbs to get 100% Memories. Why? Getting a dried flower and a memory piece depends on 3 things: Persistence, Timing, and Luck. Flowers

Q: How many are there?

A: There are 10 puzzles consisting of 10 pieces each. You'll need to gather 100 orbs to complete it.

Q: Flowers spawn randomly all over the biome. How can we easily discover them?

A: This is the tricky part. You need a strategy to identify them quickly. Fortunately for you, many players have shared their tactics to efficiently find them. Part of this strategy requires you to organize biome-specific flowers in a patch. You can do so by picking up the flowers and droping them in one spot. Alternatively, if you care about presentation, you can also go into furniture mode and move them to your desired position.

Q: When do they appear?

A: Dried flowers may appear daily at 5am (local time) and 0-4 will spawn in one random biome (located in the Valley or any purchased expansion). Dried flowers will not appear if it is raining.

Q: I have my flower patch. I logged on and first thing I did was check. They are never dry, what gives?

A: This is the challenging part. While dried flowers could generate daily, there are other factors that come into play. Timing is key; the valley does not wait for you. As stated elsewhere, dried flowers will not appear if it is raining. This means if it is raining at 5:00 am, then you are out of luck for the day. If it isn't raining, then you're in luck! Run/port to all your patch locations and see if you have any. Be warned, there have been bugs in the past where flowers do not take the appearance of being dried out. If that bug is identified, just water your plants anyway, they won't hate you for the extra TLC.

Q: Can you share your strategy?

A: Of course! I've been getting a lot of great tips from the community so my strategy is made up of their great ideas infused with mine.

I created maps for you to set up your patches. I paired a wishing well with each flower patch (not all biomes will require flowers). You can run or port, but I find porting the fastest option. In the map, I identify the flowers need for each patch, quantity included (that worked for me - may have extras), and the path I take to check each area. I tried to make it as efficient as possible; it may not be perfect for everyone, but it worked for me.

Q: How long does it take to you check each morning?

A: Less than 10 minutes across 4 lands (Base, Rift in Time, Storybook Vale, and Wishblossom Ranch). It can be quicker, but I water at every station because of paranoia (due to the bug Gameloft introduced awhile back --Thanks, Gameloft!). The timing and difficulty will grow as the number of new expansions increase.

Q: How many will I get?

A: You could find 0 to 4 dried flowers in a biome group. Each dried flower doesn't guarantee you an orb. You could get lucky and get get 1, sometimes 2, and rarely 3; 4 is super rare (I've only gotten 4 once).

Q: What's the drop rate frequency?

A: It's completely randomized so you can get one every day or none for days. I've had occasions where I would be without a drop for 5 days. That said, I would get multiples on a day to make up, so averaging one every every 2 days.

Q: How long did it take you to complete the Memory collection?

A: It took 6 months of checking daily at 5 am. If you're an early bird, like me, that isn't a huge deal, but for others, it probably is. This is the requirement that makes this task rough.

Q: I'm an active player, but my schedule doesn't work with the 5 am rush. How long do you think it would take me to complete it?

A: If you're an active player and you consistenly check for dried flowers on logon (hopefully mornings), then I'd say it would take about a year or so.

Q: I'm a casual player, how long do you think it would take me to complete it?

A: It doesn't look good. Maybe email Gameloft and request a change in mechanic.

Q: Was it worth it?

A: Hmm, good question. Probably not, lol! But if you are a completionist like myself, it can be oddly satisfying.

Q: Is there a shortcut?

A: There was a hack a long time ago where you could plant flowers inside a home and it would give you orbs immediately on watering. The developers fixed this early on so it isn't in the game today.

There is another shortcut I'm aware of, but wasn't able to try as I had already completed the quest. If you are in the process of leveling Beast, the quest 'A Gift in Crimson' requires you to water flowers in the "Beauty and the Beast' realm. Supposedly, you can keep watering them to get the orbs while not finishing the quest. If anyone has more info on this, please respond in the comments and elaborate for others! Thanks!

Q: Why did you make this guide?

A: Honestly, this is a very painful task. I don't think it's a good mechanic as it completely luck-based and can grow more challenging over time. Hopefully, for the completionists out there, this helps! I hope Gameloft makes it easier for everybody. I suggest they keep dried flowers located on the base game only (not expansions) and apply a reasonable timer/cooldown (every 24 hours?) without a 'no rain' requirement.

That's it! I hope this helps someone as crazy I was! Kudos to the players that have completed this already. You have my admiration!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Any additional information that could make this guide valuable to others, please share and we can add it!

Happy Adventuring!

The calico bunny will be the death of me

I am literally never going to be able to finish the Olaf’s exhibition quest because of this dang CALICO BUNNY.

Like WHAT DO YOU MEAN they’re only in the meadow on Thursdays from 8am-2pm… I AM AT WORK. like do they expect me to take work off every Thursday for 4-5 weeks!?

In conclusion, olaf hates me and wants me to have no money to pay my bills and buy food - the end.

Long Weekend Hyperfixation

After 1,600 hours of play time I finally caved and made myself an island for crops. I’ve also created a storage island 😅

Years of accidental hard mode

Yesterday I was playing and working on a character leveling quest for Tink, and needed a bunch of items from the expansion. As usual I started out gathering a ton of WBR items, while my wife playing on her laptop (I play mostly on XBOX commented that it sure would be nice to have a source of items from expansions once you got gather into them… and something I heard a while back clicked. Neither of us have ever gone into putting “other buildings” under the “house” listing in our games but I thought I heard something about Moana’s ship doing something in the first dlc timeframe, but I never checked that out.

Long story short (too late), I found that each dlc not only has the collecting “Houses”, but each gathers items from each dlc, making collecting quests SOOO much easier (the number of times I’ve sworn to myself over Pink Starfish). The look on her face when I told her what we’d been missing, 🤯

Hopefully most others figured this out way before we did.
EDIT: Glad to see it’s not been around as long as I thought!

Positive Discussion On Star Path

Here's some of my favorite items from the Star Path ^.^

I've worn the shoe's, the bracelet and the hair almost everyday since unlocking them. The little tree and the planet have been used many times in my valley for decorating and in dreamsnaps. These items have grabbed my attention and I just wanted to showcase it as a little appreciation post for the devs. I love these items! Good job Gameloft! <3

Looking to help my wife with some companions.

Outside of the base companions in the game, the amount of other available companions is a laundry list. A lot of them are time based events that are over, but with her having only started playing for the first time in the past month, she’s missed pretty much all of them. Is there anyway I can get her anything that’s been timed out of events, like the anxiety squirrel, the Easter looking bunnies, or the nostalgia capybara? She thinks they are all adorable, and being on her list of possibles, but unable to obtain, is seriously bumming her out. I appreciate any insight or help, no worries if the answer is really just “yeah, times up so they are locked, no options available.”

I lost the bear stuffing!

Hi everyone. So I've been playing for about 2 years now I have all dlcs. But anyway what I got on here to say was im finally doing Sadness's last friendship quest and I realized I don't have the stuffing for the bear. I have all the others. I've looked in all my chests in every dlc and main game it's just gone. I contacted Gameloft last night but im not sure if they're going to be able to help. I know i didn't sell it cause you can't sell quest items. Its just gone!

Edit: I found it! I guess I just laid it down in frosted heights and I couldn't see it lol!

Red Dot Removed

I FINALLY DID IT! The red dot is gone after two years 😭😭 It took me a bit to find out but I knew you could buy everything from scrooge’s again and then go through it but everytime I was actually inside scrooge’s i forgot or was too lazy. Thank goodness!! Hopefully I can keep up with it so it doesn’t come back!

The giant tree in the Glade should have been Mama Odie’s home

I’ve always thought the giant tree in the middle of the Glade of Trust would have made much more sense as Mama Odie’s home. The Glade already has the swampy, magical bayou feeling, so a huge mystical tree would fit her perfectly. If Mama Odie lived there, the tree’s size and central placement would feel much more intentional.

As it is, the tree is so huge that it basically controls the whole biome. The Glade isn’t that large, and having such a massive fixed object in the center makes decorating around it really difficult. It also has such a strong fairy-tale look that it limits what kind of theme you can build there. A darker swamp, a New Orleans-inspired area, a witchy bayou, or a more natural Glade all have to work around that one giant tree. I don’t hate the tree itself, but if a fixed landmark is going to take up that much space, I wish it either had more flexibility or belonged to a character who fits the biome more strongly.

Hercules Build- The Statue’s Shadow 🏛️🏺

Been really enjoying decorating with the new Hercules Items. I hope we get floating islands for Story book Vale in the future. Would love to do a full island build with these items.

Hope this can bring you some inspiration ✨

Curious about everyone's farming workflow

Does anyone else plant dedicated gardens in every biome for quick profits at the beginning stages of the game and keep extra seed storage boxes right next to the stalls? 🫘🌾 It makes the grind so much faster. How do you all like to set up your farming layouts once you advance?

Vanellope Finally Has a Home!

After countless attempts to make Vanellope an area that makes sense, Sundae Shores comes along! I was able to fit in a racetrack for her and a row of popsicle benches for the villagers to watch the races. Her candy theme looks great alongside the bright colors of Pixie Acres. And there's even a giant cupcake in the background. Welcome home Vanellope!
