Looking for MTG Commander Players—Especially Women! | King Kong Comics & Games.

Hi Everyone,

I’m looking to meet more Magic: The Gathering Commander players, especially other women who play. I’m a woman myself and usually play anywhere from Bracket 3 to cEDH, so I’m happy to play with a range of power levels and experience.

I’ll be at King Kong Comics & Games in Dublin, CA almost every Friday around 5:00 PM if anyone wants to come by, shuffle up, and get some games in.

My main goal is to help build a fun, welcoming, and positive Commander environment where more people feel comfortable coming out to play—especially women and newer players.

I’m also working on growing a cEDH scene at King Kong, so competitive players are absolutely welcome too.

If you’re interested, feel free to comment or message me. Would love to get some pods going!

MAJOR UPDATE- Alameda County District 1 Chief of Staff Shawn Wilson implicated in federal corruption case!

Please click on the post linked below to read about it. The post is on my public page so it can be shared in any other groups and your personal pages.

All Alameda County residents NEED TO ACT NOW as a community and sign the linked petition demanding Shawn be placed on leave and investigated. Supervisor David Haubert is protecting him and refusing to respond to me. The petition is linked in the comments of the post below.

Local Dublin Transportation - DeSoto Cab

Just wanted to introduce DeSoto Cab to the community. We’re a local East Bay transportation company serving Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon, and surrounding areas.
We provide local rides, airport transportation to SFO, OAK, and SJC, scheduled transportation, and longer-distance trips throughout the Bay Area.
We’ve been serving the Tri-Valley area for years, and our goal is pretty simple: provide dependable local transportation with professional drivers and vehicles when people need a ride.
If anyone in the Dublin community ever has transportation questions, needs help planning an airport pickup, or wants to know what transportation options are available locally, feel free to reach out.
We’re also always interested in hearing from Dublin residents about what they would like to see improved when it comes to local taxi and transportation service.

ALCO Supervisor David Haubert engages in religious politics; he is now lowkey yelling, "WAHAB'S GONNA ASK QUESTIONS! HELP ME! VOTE MELISSA".

This man is an elected official, dude. His social media account might develop an anxiety disorder by Aug 18th and have a nervous breakdown if Wahab wins.

  1. He reshared a right-wing crackpot's post that rants without facts, calls Rep Pramila Jaypal a 'radical social extremist', and highlights the Quran (that is really lame).

  2. He connected this post to SB 1193 without clarifying what the association is.

  3. Gave a condescending response to the Human Relations Commissioner (Union City)

  4. Appealed to the Commissioner's religion to get him to vote for Melissa.

Is he planning to continue this till the general election???

Recommendations for a not too sweet, last minute birthday cake?

In search of recommendations for a bakery / home baker who does not-too-sweet, not cream based (I don’t want whipped cream, mousse, pastry cream, etc) birthday cakes. I need for this Saturday to serve 19 people. Was going to get Susie Cakes because I love their chocolate cake, but I want pink frosting and their buttercream was so sweet I couldn’t eat more than a couple of bites. Inspiration photo attached. Willing to travel about 1/2 hour outside of Dublin. Any recommendations?

Building stock analysis site right here in Dublin

Hey folks! I’ve been building Stockbruh.com, a stock analysis site for beginners, right here in Dublin.

Stockbruh breaks down complicated company fundamentals into plain English, without all the finance jargon, so you can get a better sense of whether a company looks solid… or like a dumpster fire 😄. Even my 8 yr old (Go Dolphins!) understands the analysis.

I also recently added a Roast feature where you can get feedback on your portfolio and investing strategies.

I built the whole thing with beginners in mind, so if you’re just getting into investing, give it a try. Would especially love to hear what fellow Dublin residents think!

Three Sheets Bar closing next weekend

From their Instagram page:

> Nearly 12 years ago, we unlocked the doors to Three Sheets with one simple goal: create a place where great beer brings great people together.

> What happened next was so much more than we ever imagined.

> Together we’ve celebrated championship victories, World Cup watch parties, St. Patrick’s Day parades, birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, engagements, wedding receptions, promotions, reunions, retirement parties, trivia nights, countless pint nights, and thousands of ordinary Tuesdays that somehow became unforgettable.

> We’ve watched strangers become regulars, regulars become friends, and friends become family.

> As we approach the end of our lease, we’ve made the difficult decision not to renew, and Sunday, August 16 will be our final day serving pints at Three Sheets.

> While this chapter is coming to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude. Thank you for making Three Sheets so much more than a neighborhood beer bar. Thank you for nearly 12 amazing years of laughter, stories, celebrations, and community. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

> Now let’s celebrate together one last time.

> 🍻 ONE LAST CHEERS WEEKEND

> Friday, August 14 (5p - Close)

> 🎉 One Last Cheers

> Raise a glass with old friends, reconnect with familiar faces, and help us celebrate nearly 12 unforgettable years.

> Saturday, August 15 & Sunday, August 16

> 🍺 Kick the Keg

> We’re rolling back beer prices to what they were when we opened in 2014 as we empty the taps and celebrate the incredible beers we’ve shared over the years.

> Whether you’ve been with us since opening day or just discovered us last month, we’d love to see you one more time.

> From Wendy, Stef, and the entire Three Sheets family…

> Thank you for every pint, every laugh, every memory, and every friendship.

> Let’s make these last two weeks—and especially our final weekend—the best we’ve ever had.
