Marathon Training in Dubrovnik?

Hi! Any tips for a 35F visiting Dubrovnik in the height of marathon block training? Looking for somewhere safe and easy to run a couple 20 mile runs in the mornings. Happy to do laps if they aren’t too short. Views ideal but prioritizing safety. Thank you!

Ukradena/skinuta prednja tablica u Crnoj Gori?

Will any bars be showing the England - Mexico game at 2am?

Hi. I will be in Dubrovnik for the Mexico - England football match (06/07, 02:00). Will any bars be showing it?

I did see a previous post about bars only opening late for Croatia games but thought it might be different given there are lots of English visitors to Croatia. I know I can watch it on the television.

Looking forward to visiting. Hvala van!

Slovenia- Croatia Travels!

Hi everyone! I'm planning my first solo trip to Croatia and could really use some advice from people who've done something similar.

Booking using miles

Option 1: Fly directly into Croatia in late August

Pros: no repositioning or long commute.

Cons: peak season, more crowds, hotter weather.

Option 2: Fly into Ljubljana in late September, spend one night there, then continue to Croatia.

It looks like taking the bus to Zagreb and then fly to Dubrovnik (or Split), rather than taking one long bus ride may be the way to go

My questions:Has anyone done Ljubljana → Croatia as a solo traveler?

Which transportation did you choose and why?

Was the bus comfortable with luggage?

If you had to do it again, would you still choose Ljubljana or would you just fly directly into Croatia?

I'd especially love to hear from people who've actually done this route rather than general advice.

Thank you!

Any bars or venues broadcasting the USA vs Bosnia World Cup match at 2am on July 2nd?

Staying in Lapad and most venues seem to close around midnight. Does anyone know whether any bars in old town will broadcast the match?

Driving from Dubrovnik to portonovi (Montenegro)

I am driving from Dubrovnik to Montenegro in early September for a wedding with my 18 month old and family.

Any tips or advice on what time to get to the border for minimal traffic? I’m happy to leave earlier in the morning if it means less traffic. Should we go to one of the smaller borders instead of the main one?

We have told our rental company that we will be crossing the border but any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Public transport tickets or Dubrovnik Pass?

Hi all,

We are group of 11 family members (including three children btw 10-13 yrs) coming to Dubrovnik for three days precisely. Last time when I was here Dubrovnik pass costed 30€ which included everything. Now it seems to be 50€ and for 11 person the price seems too high :D

Are there any better card types or better alternative available? ideally we do want the buses, and city wall tour included... museums we can buy ticket ourselves separately if needed.

Rent a Car

Hello, I'll be traveling to Croatia in august and will be landing in Dubrovnik. I'm planning to rent a car directly from the airport and would love some recommendations from people who have done this recently.

Which rental companies would you consider reliable and hassle-free regarding reservations, pick-up, and return? Are there any companies I should avoid?

Also, what's the best approach regarding insurance - do you usually book full insurance online in advance, or is it better to arrange coverage directly at the rental desk? I'm mainly interested in having a stress-free experience rather than finding the absolute cheapest option.
Thanks!
