Out with the old, in with the older
Howdy folks, just wanted to show you my new '91 535i. I got it earlier this year to replace my '04 330i that i passed along, and i'm currently having it PMCS'ed. I also had it resprayed in diamantschwarz, it was originally just jet black (schwarz 2 iirc). All original, 64k miles on it, auto transmission, M30b35 engine with silbergrau hell interior
(Missing one fog lamp bc i'm having it cleaned). Its my second car, i always thought early 2000's cars like my previous 330 were more machines than computers, but its surprising (at least for younger people like me who weren't around back then) just how long much of the technology we have in cars these days were around for. I want something with no CAN busses, no vanos, just pure machine. Good day everyone!
EDIT: this isn't AI, i just scrubbed the license plate with a photo edit tool to hide it.

Scam Alert: "E39 shop" on Facebook Marketplace (Advance-fee + Fake Courier Scam)
Hello everyone, i hope the admins keeps this to warn everyone. There is a page on facebook which posts regularly and consistently E39 parts in good condition and of his shipments to customers worldwide.
I am naive and fell for it, parts were not much cheaper than market just in excellent condition, at least that is what i thought. I believe his page is still up because people are blocked before they get the chance to report him.
Once money was sent, the advance-fee BS started.
Here is how it went
- we agree on a price for parts, paid via Zelle, (bank payment did not ho through) and then he claimed he will drop off the package at a shipping company. Mind you we agreed on DHL and i paid the shipping obviously.
- Then The Extortion / Penalty Fee: When i called him out and refused to pay fake insurance, the seller claimed he went back to the courier to pick up the parts, but the courier is now charging a $306 "penalty fee for wasting their time." They claim if you don't pay it, the carrier will block or destroy the parts.
- The Block: The moment I demand the courier’s contact details and refuse to keep sending cash, he blocked me.
Just be aware. I think that is the most revenge i could get and learn my lesson

Front bumper sag
I’ve been trying to fix this bumper sag for a while now. I’ve bought brand new mounting brackets and have played and adjusted it as much a I could but there is still an aggressive tilt on the whole bumper. I’ll try to source another bumper to test fit it if the bumper is just ruined but I have a suspicion that the front mounting points on the car are compromised.
Any advice is appreciated.
