FC 26 Realistic Sliders.
I need help with career mode sliders. I have been using custom sliders which aren't too different from the authentic sliders, but the game is too easy for me atm. I still want realism but I need it more challenging without the craziness of the AI when I put it on competitive/normal gameplay. Every time I look online for sliders, I get outdated versions of sliders from months ago and I want to find sliders that fit the current update of the game. I play on legendary with Newcastle United.
Playing FC26 Career with Rangers FC and this transfer happened out of nowhere?!
Despite the year that it happened, if would be really funny if Mbappe does leave because of who's in charge, but I could be wrong. Lol
Why in every career mode in any FIFA or FC Real Madrid selling their all good players? I don't understand that logic in transfers
reddit.comPoll: Choose my Next Team
I want to do a longterm, realistic save with a club I have never done a save with before. The club should have a strong identity, history, stadium, kits, rivalry, and enough of a starting platform to make the timeline realistic. Squad building should be logical, with smart recruitment, youth development, and a Brighton/Brentford-style buy-develop-sell model. Spending can grow with the club, but transfers and wages should still feel realistic. Most importantly, I wanted to feel connected to the club and enjoy the story. I had a list of 25 and narrowed it 5 through conversation with AI.
What do I do??
Why is he unhappy? Literally has done everything so well.
FC Career Mode Beta Feedback - The new transfer system has genuinely changed Career Mode for the better
I've been playing the Career Mode beta and wanted to give some feedback on what I've experienced so far. I'm currently doing a Portsmouth career and, overall, I'm really impressed with the direction they've taken.
Transfers and scouting
The new transfer system is probably the biggest positive for me.
It feels much more realistic now. Instead of the old system where you scout a player, offer the club enough money and they basically automatically sell, there's much more of a process.
You have to enquire with the club first to find out whether they're actually interested in selling or loaning the player. You then negotiate with the club, negotiate with the player, and the whole process can take up to a week in-game. If another club comes in for the player, you might then have to renegotiate or risk losing them completely.
There's also player interest in your club now, which is a really nice addition. Just because you can afford a player doesn't mean they actually want to join you.
I'm doing a Portsmouth career at the moment, and this has already had a massive impact on my recruitment. The transfer window is live, and I didn't do enough scouting beforehand. I've gone after quite a few players who are probably above Portsmouth's level, and I've either had the club refuse to sell or the player simply isn't interested in joining.
I've also been close to signing players only for another club to come in and get them instead.
It's meant I've had to start looking at more experimental signings with my limited budget and scouting information, rather than just going down a list of players I know I'll be able to sign.
I actually love this.
I think scouting is going to be much more important this year. You'll need to scout throughout the season, look at club and league stats and have multiple targets for each position because there's no guarantee your first choice will actually join.
The only negative so far is that I've had a lot of clubs/players turn me down or players go elsewhere just as I'm trying to sign them. It makes it feel like there are probably too many transfers happening across the game at the moment. Obviously it's a beta, so hopefully that's something that's balanced before release.
They've also removed the cutscenes where you sit down to negotiate transfers, as well as the training-ground introduction every time you sign someone.
Personally, I'm glad they're gone. Transfers are much quicker to get through without seeing the same scenes repeatedly.
Form, ratings and squad rotation
This might be my second favourite change.
Form actually feels like it matters.
I've got Murphy, who has scored 4 goals in 3 games. His rating has increased in the short term, and he genuinely feels like a higher-rated player when I'm using him.
Meanwhile, my striker hasn't scored yet, and he feels heavy and out of form.
I really like this because it makes you think about who's actually performing rather than simply picking whoever has the highest overall.
Rotation seems much more important as well. If players aren't playing, their rating/form can drop, so you can't just use exactly the same XI every game like you could in previous FC games.
Removing the old training system has helped with this too. You can't manipulate training to have the same players completely fresh from Tuesday to Saturday.
If someone starts both games, you can actually feel the stamina difference and might need to substitute them.
Again, it just feels much closer to managing an actual squad.
Gameplay
I've also been pleasantly surprised by the gameplay.
Crossing feels good. Passing feels good. The ball feels like it has more weight to it and the players seem much less "ice skatey" than before.
Teams also seem to play differently from each other.
One thing I've really enjoyed is how much scrappier matches can be. The CPU actually tackles you and gives away fouls.
The collision system seems much better too. You actually have to think about your runs rather than just sprinting directly into defenders and somehow coming out the other side.
If you time a run or turn properly, though, you can get away from the defender or force them into giving away a foul. It feels much more natural.
Corners are improved as well. You can bring more players into the box, and there seems to be more variety in what you can do from them.
Overall
Obviously this is still the beta, and there are things that need balancing, particularly the amount of transfer activity and how often deals seem to get hijacked.
But I've genuinely enjoyed Career Mode enough that I've pre-ordered based on my experience with the beta.
When I start my proper save, I'll definitely be turning off transfers in the first window.
With how the new transfer system works, I want to spend those first few months doing a proper deep dive into scouting, looking at performances and stats and identifying multiple targets for each position.
For the first time in a while, it feels like recruitment might actually require some planning rather than just knowing which players you want to buy.
If they fine-tune what they've got here rather than changing it massively before release, I think Career Mode could be in a really good place this year.

This is probably a dumb question: When you first start a new save and see this do y’all restart ?
I’m playing as Carrick in a Manchester United save and I know it’s not realistic in our saves but I would like for at least the UCL final to be realistic. No offense to any Arsenal fans it’s just not what happened and now there’s a post Champions league arsenal win in my save.
What ?
“Last match, Morten Hjulmand completed 0 passes, with an accuracy of 0%. Do you feel Morten Hjulmand can improve on that performance?”
The season just started by the way…
Do you guys bother with the interviews to boost the morale of your squad or nah ?
How are you guys scoring long shots/screamers in FC 26? The CPU AI press feels way too aggressive compared to older games (FIFA 22)
Hey everyone,
I used to love playing FIFA 22. one of my favorite things to do was picking up the ball with midfielders like De Bruyne, Valverde etc , finding a bit of space outside the 18-yard box, and banging in long-range screamers or finesse shots into the top corner.
I recently jumped back into EA FC 26, but I am really struggling to score from range. It feels like the moment my midfielder receives a pass anywhere near the D-box, the CPU AI defenders step up instantly and magnet-tackle me before I even have time to set my body angle or wind up a power shot. There’s almost zero breathing room, and every shot outside the box seems to get auto-blocked or closed down immediately.
If you play Career Mode, what CPU sliders or tactic setups do you use to stop defenders from instantly swarming you outside the box?
Any tips or advice would be appreciated!
Try my football game please!
Hi. Solo dev, been building this for months, and it's finally stable enough that I want people to try it, I already have like 20 testers and ill upload this soon for free to appstore.
the idea: You are one player, from a 16-year-old nobody to whatever legend you manage to become before you retire.
The football:
- Pull back and release to shoot, and the contact point on the ball decides the angle and the curve. Power and accuracy are separate things: accuracy makes the ball follow the line you drew, power decides how hard it gets there.
- 16 different chance types generated live, so a counter doesn't feel like a corner and a corner doesn't feel like a free kick. Dribbles, one-on-ones, penalties, driving the ball forward, playing a pass and then controlling the guy who receives it.
- Defenders close you down while you aim, and your energy tank matters — tired, you shoot worse.
- Practice mode if you just want to drill one situation over and over.
The career:
- 1,600+ clubs across 30 countries, each in a three-division pyramid, plus 212 national teams. Everything you're not playing gets simulated: leagues, cups, European nights, the transfer market.
- Contracts, agents, buyout clauses, loans, free agency. Clubs want you based on your rating, your position and where you finished in the Ballon d'Or voting — build a reputation and better clubs come calling.
- National team selection is earned. There's a visible bar, and you can see the last man in and how far off you are.
- Injuries with real consequences, relationships with teammates, coach and fans, post-match dilemmas where you actually choose.
- Your teammates and rivals age, decline and retire around you, and new kids come through. So does your player, at 40.
The life around it:
- A house you walk around in, that upgrades as you earn: trophy room, gym, pool, pets, an arcade machine with a working Snake game in it.
- Sponsors, a shop, haircuts and beards you buy and actually see on your player.
- Trophy ceremonies, galas, man-of-the-match moments, promotion and relegation — all as little 3D scenes, not a popup saying "you won".
- A legacy screen that tracks where you rank all-time and who you still have to overtake.
Everything is 64px pixel art with a 2.5D game style, portrait, one-handed. Free, no ads, nothing to buy. Every club and player name is fictional.

Past FIFA’s Career Mode
What’s up everyone. With the new FC27 game coming out, I gotta say, I’m extremely underwhelmed. Maybe it’s because I’m 30 now? I don’t know. I just remember when the game was so new and exciting every year, even as an adult. Anyway, I got to looking through my collection and started playing some old FIFA’s I haven’t played in years to help ease the pain of hating EA.
I was thinking about starting a career mode on FIFA 11. It’s one I spent so many hours on in my past.
Anyone else out there doing the same??? And what years were everyone’s favorites?
PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY
I don’t think I’ve ever throughout 14 years of playing FIFA titles I’ve hated or played a worst game in terms of the gameplay aspect. Mike everyone when they were young, they used to rage at FIFA as FIFA is one of the most rage games ever just in general thankfully I’ve grown out of throwing a controller across the room or doing a W2S I’m breaking a TV or something thankfully I don’t do that but how frustrating this game players is disgusting. I’ve been given the career mode beta of FC 27 but I’ve also seen what people think of other game modes such as ultimate team and and the grounds and everything like that and we talk about every year the game plays the worst but this year is definitely 110% the worst ever gameplay of a FIFA title of all time.
No, I can only talk about how the gameplay is on career mode. This new corner edition was pointless is terrible and was unnecessary. You could already lock onto a player before the corner was taken anyway so you’re just adding something that is useless and now makes corners either too easy to score or impossible to score. I play on ultimate difficulty and in terms of authentic gameplay it is super slow. You can’t break the opposing team down, everyone on the pitch loses the ball ,you can’t dribble , and shooting outside the box is not existent because either it will just go into the goalkeeper‘s hands or will go wide. Easy one on one situations you just can’t score for some reason the goalkeeper will always save it. Now from that point it’s probably because I just can’t shoot but even my opponent can’t shoot either and normally ultimate difficulty scores every shot near enough and the fact that that’s not happening just shows how far game is going down in terms of decline and I’ll be honest I have no idea where this company goes from here. Even in the formations a team sets up in a five back it doesn’t look like a five back it just looks not natural at all. It’s just five players in a line with three players in another line with two players in another line, there’s no fluidity, there’s no natural feel to a game it feels like a simulator and it feels like you’re just better off quick simming every game because when you play the match, it’s unplayable.
So there’s a lot more things I can talk about but based off that don’t spend 70 quid let alone £140. You’ll be buying what will be the worst FIFA title ever and what will be one of the worst games of all time just either buy FC26 on PC and get it modded. Or play FC 26 on console and just manually do the transfers because it will be the biggest waste of money that you’re ever gonna make. There’s nothing good about the next game.
I have played the fc 27 career mode and here are some things
I have played career mode for years and fc since fifa 13 so I have been through the old, nostalgic, peak and new. Some of this is good some of this is bad but overall I just wanna see improvement when it comes out.
- First off some of the stuff isn’t even in the beta like position changes manually through the formation screen and some other stuff that I know for a fact was in the trailer but I’m not seeing in the game at the moment.
- It seems they are trying to improve the depth of career mode and lean towards competiting with football manager with more details and making more realistic circumstances in career mode. But I chose the base settings when starting out and I tried to make signings that EA haven’t done yet and the fact that there is just automatic refusal doesn’t make sense back in the day in career mode they would reject on contract terms because any club with the right offer they will let the player go especially a second team player. Imagine Real Madrid wanted to buy Joe Gomez and he was like NO. It would never happen. The menus are improved but too improved like I said more depth but every thing you can click on has a separate section. It’s too much for the average player it’s too much for anyone who enjoys a classic FIFA career mode.
- They have removed so much for unnecessary reasons training plans are now scrapped when they did nothing wrong I liked how you had to rotate your squad or you just didn’t have or do a mix there was no limits to creativity it seems now they have limited options for certain creative and realistic aspects of the game to just EA giving you the options. EA can’t make a realistic career mode even when they try. It’s poor from them to be honest. The fact now you have to enquire to approach a FREE AGENT is stupid you don’t you just sign them they reject you for contract purposes. They have removed features that did no harm and were quite convenient and given us a Football Manager replica that is overwhelming and hard to navigate. Some people want a simple career mode.
- Some good stuff. I like the idea of the player choosing a club over you or a club wanting to renegotiate like a bidding war. Tried signing a player for Liverpool they went to Everton now that’s cinema and an enjoyable part of the game. I like that. The depth to deals now is great. But you could argue all the good stuff should have been already in the game.
- Gameplay. I play on Ultimate always have it’s the only difficulty that makes me concede goals. But the AUTHENTIC GAMEPLAY IS TERRIBLE. Super slow, super sluggish it’s like they are all 50 years older and the game is so like a basketball match where nothing happens my game had 15 shots 1 goal. Because the game was slow I couldn’t run I couldn’t dribble I couldn’t create chances because the AI would track back and have 11 defenders so even I beat my player 2 more came and won the ball. It’s not even tactics the fact that the LB has 50 pace and my RW has 80 pace and he can’t beat him in a 10 yard dash is poor. When I going for finesse shots they take about 5 seconds to leave my foot. The only positive is Manuel defending exists and I do feel that it is better to use than let the AI try and get the ball for me.
The problem is Football Manager is too realistic for majority of players and you sim every game. FC isn’t good enough to be a decent career mode game. There are no decent competitors in the scene right now so it’s difficult.
I have played more than just career mode when playing FIFA and FC. I have come to the conclusion that based on FC 26 and this year I will play the beta version until it expires and then the only way I play FC 27 is if I get it for free or gifted by a friend. The overall product isn’t worth the price and the only way the product will improve is people don’t buy the game. It’s a shame that is the reality.
FC needs competition.
The EA FC games/FIFA need competition. If not, we're just going to end up with the same games over and over, especially for console players. The only other games we have are like Football Manager and PES And also the online-only $5 AI-generated slop games you can find at the Play Store for free.
Without mods, console players are at a loss, a humongous loss to be in fact. In fact, it's even worse for mobile players since they don't even get career mode. Really, at this point, it's a matter of time until people stop buying FC games when they realize they're just terrible in general and for a new competitor to hit the market and defeat EA and their stuff. This game has really fallen far.
This is why we don’t sim to end…
So I just started a Tottenham Hotspur career mode as a fake manager (not De Zerbi) and thought it would be fun to go back a few games in the live and I lost to Chelsea naturally and sim to end on the Everton game.
Also I’m pretty hated by the board. Should I just embrace this or restart this ?
