Teammate in a p51D was jumped by these two in yaks. the pilot of the p51 was smart enough to use his superior level flight speed to run. He called out for help and I was perfectly positioned to swoop in from 6k feet(2000m) to delete these two commies and help clear my teammates 6:00.

I always say sim battles are where USA planes will actually be able to out perform and dominate their openers thanks to the “open“ map, lack of virtual instructor with mouse aim.

Bordeaux today about CFB 27 "They [EA] said this third year was going to be huge"

I've heard other content creators say similar things in regards to the third game. Hoping for the best. Link to the exact time stamp above.

How does the CPU get away with this?

I’m at Washington. OSU stole a 5 star from me that wasn’t even on their board. I decided to check out why it hadn’t moved at all in the recruiting battle and they weren’t even going after him. How do I lose this?

Do you guys feel like Road To Glory is dead?

I think RTG is missing sideline immersion and it kills replay value so much. I broke down some examples here if anyone’s interested in my latest YouTube video with all the recent Open World concepts that’s been buzzing around. Let me know what you guys think

Opt-Out?

Maybe I just haven’t been paying attention, but has anyone else had players opt out of the natty? My Heisman-winning RB did not play a single snap in the championship game. No team injuries listed and he is No.1 on the depth chart. Still won, but what happened? (And yes, I would like straight answers, but I’m also here for the missed curfew comments. 😜)

Super Nerd level dynasty Recap

Where to begin, it is always the question when telling a story of this magnitude. So I guess I will start at the hardest part to tell, the part about regret.

After I finished Go Fight Win I wanted to make the Revere Riders, the fictional setting for Go Fight Win and the story of Liam Taylor and the beleaguered College football team he coached. When Liam's story ended the team was in complete ruin. To put it bluntly no other team had ever endured what he put them through.

I thought to myself, building that team would make a hell of a sequel of sorts. Same setting, same team, new story.

First came the head coach. Sean Mulligan. A struggling division 3 coach from Revere, a graduate of Boston College just trying to make ends meat. Once I came up with him and had Sammy Dakota build the team it was time to play. I intended to write an entirely new story, but writing is hard, telling a story to an audience that doesn't care doesn't help either. I mean Alan, the guy who normally reads them and we talk barely cared at all, busy with his own life.

So I stopped writing..I regret that now because this story is one for the ages, it is in my head only right now. So without the writing I just played…let me tell you something. It is fun. I am playing with suicide recruiting, so once my board is filled at the beginning of the season that is it. I can only replace underclassmen who transfer on a 1 to 1 basis in the portal as well. Building this team, a team I had made as the worst of the worst has not been easy. Campus lifestyle F, Academics F, Pro Potential F…F…F…F…not a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out.

So I played. The first season behind Keyonte Tyson we went 6-6 and won a bowl game…a flicker of hope. Keyonte left for greener pastures as did most of the good players on a bad team. The next season we went 9-3 against a very weak schedule, lost a bowl game we never should have been in. The psycho computer matched my 63 OVR ass against Tennesee who had a down year…I think they put up 50 that game.

The Next season we went 9-4 and won a bowl game to finish with 10 wins…still no playoffs. The schedule had a small bump as the team cleared the 70 OVR range but a foundation was built…a couple of Senior transfers helped bridge the gap..

In season 3 as a 74 OVR I felt like we could possibly compete, maybe sneak into the playoffs as a 12 seed…If only I could win a few big games. I bumped the schedule up once more..a couple ranked teams. A trip to Blacksburg for Enter Sandman, a home game against #24 Cal. If we could just win a few of these. I got the team to 9-1 with the only loss to Va-Tech by a missed 2 point conversion in double OT…a real heartbreaker but we were close…then it fell apart. Finished the regular season 10-2..a trip to the Conny…win and were in…we didn’t win, upset on our own field by UTSA. Late in the 4th they drove the length of the field and I just couldn't stop them. They scored with a few seconds on the clock to win…I was crushed…real life..bummed the fuck out. I barely had it in me to play the bowl game…we lost..finished 10-4

Season 4. 76 Overall, a disgruntled QB wanting to transfer, a workhorse back who finally became the starter..a talented but small WR and a classic big body TE named Lee. The defense which has long been my calling card was finally the ticket to the playoffs. In my head this was it…The schedule was tough but not brutal. 3 ranked teams, 1 of them on my home field and if USF and Boston College can help with Strength of schedule I think we got it. Through an up and down season I got the team to As the season went on it felt like maybe we could make it. Started 4-2 after dropping the 2 away ranked games. Well…2 losses we can get in right…just gotta run the table. I go 5-1 losing to USF who is ranked 15th.With 3 losses it doesn’t look good. But maybe there is hope. We are still going to the Conny..a rematch with USF. They are slotted as the 12 seed. There are a few other teams all in the same boat and a 3 loss team is going to get in. I win…totally crush them on their own field…and we wait. I even get a little help from the computer but we are left out ranked #19. We go to a bowl…win and finish 10-4.

Now we get to the fun part…the fun part is named Cortez “Mutha Fuckin” Temple and he is a damned menace. A RS Junior FS Transfer…82 Overall. Not even good enough to start at FS for me on the depth chart. We start the season at home for #16 Duke..I control the entire game. RS Freshman QB looks poised beyond his years, 2 headed RB system including a freshman dude named ROH who is a North South Receiver RB and his counterpart an elusive Bruiser. Most of the team returned and we are a 79 OVR. Still in the 4th Duke mounts a furious comeback…they win..it's happening again. For whatever reason I just can't seem to finish these teams off. Now in my head it's happening. The lore..Go Fight Win, Liam Taylor…maybe the team is cursed. Maybe it is just not meant to be. Cortez Temple makes a few crazy plays in the losing effort, enough that I notice him..where the fuck did he even come from?

0-1..ok… What started slow built…game after game…week after week. Even with injuries the depth I had built started to show. 2 mean defensive tackles, quick LB's and some corners who seemed to make plays we didn't make the years before. I got a lockdown corner named Locke! It's a sign..and Cortez Temple…this fuckin kid is a Tornado. Ed Reed, just shows up on plays all over the field..2-1, 3-1, 7-1…pulling wins out of my ass including a 17 point 4th quarter comeback against UTSA. We finish the regular season 11-1. Cortez Temple is the DPOY.. 5 sacks, 98 tackles, 5 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, a safety and play after clutch play.

Were going to the Conny and UTSA is coming to Revere. Once again I control the game…its 24 to 7…but here comes UTSA. They score to make it 24-14…then I turn it over and they score again…24-21. Late in the 4th, dejavu…they have the ball and time. They start driving…no huddle…full speed…right…down…the field. They get to the 17 with 21 seconds to go…1 pass to the 9…17 seconds. I can feel it in my bones…they are going to fuck me again…the QB drops back..throws the slant…..CORTEZ FUCKIN TEMPLE JUMPS the route 2 yards deep in the end zone…and he is GONE.. 82 OVR DPOY…showing what the fuck he is about. He just jumped into Revere Riders lore…102 Yards to the house. I stand up…in my house…and I fucking cheer…like a damned little kid…happy like I just did something…cool…I got a smile ear to ear…were going to the playoffs! I can hear famous calls from sports announcers in my head. The curse…the lore…the stories…all of it…right now it is as real as shit gets and I am such a fucking nerd.

The first game is at Iowa…the crowd is nuts. Iowa is an 86 Overall. Were the 10 seed…they are 7. I figure were playing with the house money now…Cinderella is going to the dance baby!.

All game long it is close..I trail 6-7 at the half. I score to make it 13-7..they score to make it 14-13..I get a TD and miss the 2 point conversion 19-14 . They are driving…its early 4th and I think this is it…I have been just holding on all game. Then…like a bolt of fuckin lighting…Cortez Temple shows up like Thor at the battle of Wakanda…a strip sack..3 plays later we punch it in…the tidal wave is started and we run off 2 more TDS to win 33-14.

Next game the Sugar Bowl against #2 seed Oklahoma. At this point my nerd levels are sky high, it feels great just to be on this run, the payoff feels in reach and I start to think back to writing Go Fight win in the first place. The lore built up in my head around the program is just as big as the game. I think of the struggle to finish that story, wanting to start this one…but most of all I think of Andy Watts, the super fan..obsessed with the team. As I cruise to a pretty straightforward 20-7 victory I sit there.. “What would Andy Watts think of all this.”

I mean what a wild, super nerd level thought. But that is it, that's the fun in all this. The story, building the team, a roster with these ups and downs. Some really rough losses, some awesome wins and now this…Cortez Temple.

Just started my coaching career

Photo for wows 😂

I just began playing as HC of Wyoming on All-American. I hope to progress my coach and eventually move up to a big 10 school. I expect a challenge but I want an immersive experience where I play realistically (no cheese), recruit and develop players.

I’ve played madden before and I generally know ball pretty well. What I don’t get so far is the recruiting process in this game. I see that I can prospect 35 players at a time. Some have me in their top 8, many don’t.

- If I keep winning, will this help win over some prospects who aren’t looking at my school? I won’t be a natty contender but I’m dominating other lower-tier schools so far.

- Do I need to do anything else (week 6 now) besides fill my 35 spots and select some favorites? Every week the box next to recruiting remains unchecked, which makes me think I’m missing something but when I click into the module I can’t find anything else I need to do.

- What traits aside from a players “dealbreaker” should I consider when looking at prospects? I can’t seem to find much on their physicals, HS stats, etc. that I assumed you would go by in this game.

- Any other recruiting tips?

Good morning to the Sack!

Over the last 6 months two of our members were diagnosed with Cancer and underwent risky surgeries to remove it. Corey Harris and Alan Gegax .

Thankfully both are alive to tell the story.

This episode Alan recounts the surgery itself and the immediate days after it.

Seems like any episode where either of suffer becomes very popular...I am starting to wonder about you guys.

Realignment where the 1990s went very different. What do you think?

What if the 90s went crazy?

I think this is my favorite alt-history alignment. Here are the significant points of divergence.

  • Big Eight/SWC merger starts earlier, and grabs Arkansas and TCU, instead of letting Arkansas go to the SEC in 1992..
  • Penn State, after being snubbed by the Big East, begins discussions with the ACC instead of the Big Ten. They join with Florida State in 1992.
  • The SEC invites two prominent Southern independents, South Carolina and Tulane after missing on Arkansas, to bring its membership up to the required 12 teams for a conference championship game.
  • Seeing the large TV contracts the Big XII and SEC were getting, the Big Ten and Pac-10 discuss a merger, like in the 1950s when the PCC collapsed. However, negotiations fall apart around number of conference games, divisions, and travel to remote college towns. Fearing the worst in a new BCS system dominated by the SEC and Big XII, 6 West Coast teams simply agreed to join the Big Ten in 1997 rather than create a new merged conference.
  • In the wake of the collapse of the SWC, several Texas teams joined the WAC, which was ballooning in size all the way to 16 teams. In 1998, 8 teams left the WAC (Air Force, BYU, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV, Utah, and Wyoming) to join the abandoned PAC-10. It would rename to the PAC-12. The WAC would take the best programs from the Big West, and rename to the Mountain West. Over the course of the 2000s and 2010s, the MWC invited Houston and UTEP from C-USA, New Mexico State from the Sun Belt, and would be the home of several FCS move-ups like North Texas, Texas State, UTSA, and Sam Houston State.
  • The American was formed in 2013 after the Big East floundered in the wake of losing Virginia Tech and Miami in 2004 and Boston College and Rutgers in 2005. Eventually, independence fell out of favor when the new CFP system did not give Notre Dame a seat at the bargaining table or any particular special access. Memphis and UCF were the first call-ups and brought the league to 9 teams in 2012. Temple and UMass got nods in 2013 to reestablish the league's footprint in the Northeast. Navy joined in 2015. In 2016, after getting excluded from the NY6, Notre Dame, already being a member in every other sport left over from the Big East, decided to move its football team to the AAC alongside Army, closing out independence as a viable option in the sport.

For the Sun Belt, C-USA, and MAC I just geographically realigned the remainder of the teams.

This is a tweaked version of another conference setup I didn't quite get around to trying earlier this year. We've got 6 power conferences, or probably more like 4 powers and 2 mid-majors, but I'll have to test in the playoffs. What do you think? Who has the best schedule? Is the SEC too weak compared to the B16 or Big XII? What stands out that needs fixing before it could be fun?

Match Coverage

As somebody who stream my games and watch them later I like to see why the game went the way it went win or lose. In my online dynasty I built up Arkansas State. Keep coming close but I end up losing in the semi’s the past 2 years of the dynasty for what ever reason. The game I played yesterday I lost and could not understand why everything I was doing was not working. Looking back at the game, I see multiple times how the match coverage is not working properly what so ever. It is so irritating especially being a former college player myself I understand how it’s suppose to work. The players leave way too many gaps on the defense. And a player will not abandon a zone if there is multiple opponents near that zone just to go with the first player who entered that zone . And that’s just one example of the match coverage just not working properly. I really hope in the next game they can either revamp that or take out all together. And don’t get me started on Pre-Snap Alignment. It drives me nuts and IMO water down the skill level to this game . Okay I’m done with my rant , I’ll link the game if y’all want to see the game and see what I’m talking about
