16-year NHL veteran and Houston businessman Michel Petit says his group Blueline SlapShot LLC has agreed to bring an ECHL franchise to Houston, which will play in a new 8,000-seat arena just south of the Woodlands.
He expects the ECHL club to begin playing in Houston as early as 2028-29.

This is probably a bit of a longshot, but I figured I’d ask.
I’m a Swedish hockey fan and I’ve seen some rumours from Swedish media and fans linking Jackson Jutting and Anthony Romano to teams in Sweden for next season. Has anyone heard anything about either of them potentially heading overseas?
Also, are there any ECHL players you think could end up in the SHL, HockeyAllsvenskan, or elsewhere in Europe this summer that aren’t being talked about much?
Not looking for insider information or anything like that—just curious if anyone who follows the league closely has heard any chatter or has players they’d keep an eye on.
