Whenever I see discussions about ENA as a character, people are so quick to bring up that Series ENA and BBQ ENA are not the same character, that ENA is a species, and that “Joel has confirmed it as true,” but they never have a source for where Joel actually stated it.

It's strange to me that people parade this as fact when there are things that contradict it.

One that comes to mind is Joel stating that “not only ENA has changed, but the people around her have as well” in the 2023 ENA Day stream. To me every time Joel and the team talk about BBQ ENA its insinuated that they are the same entity but people just choose to ignore it.

I think things like the Shepherd line can be explained by ENA understanding what the Shaman is explaining to her about making copies of yourself, but not always needing to have a copy of yourself. A copy does not immediately make you a species.

It's just a little frustrating to see people parade these things as facts instead of discussing what other alternatives there could be. ENA has such an interesting world that people try to solve with real-world logic, and it ends up making every theory really boring.
