There is some real drama going on in Mt Pleasant!

I hope the Texas Rangers come in and get this under control!

Over the last month, someone dumped a toilet. Next Kermit appeared and was taking care of business when Karen decided to put him on blast. Local business are coming by and putting their swag on K. I am sure Karen will be at tomorrow’s City Council meeting but has already been told it is a state highway

The massive H-1B visa fraud happening right here in Texas

I need to vent about something that’s seriously hurting the next generation of local workers here in Texas, and nobody is talking about it enough.

We all know the job market for entry-level tech, engineering, and corporate roles is brutal right now. Our young people are graduating from Texas universities with massive debt, working hard, and applying to hundreds of jobs just to get a foot in the door.

But here is what they are up against: Massive H-1B visa fraud run by "ghost companies" and corrupt staffing agencies.

We are looking for good schools, lower crime, access to shopping and entertainment, and if possible a bigger yard.

Why are homes in Pittsburg so cheap?

I was wasting time on Realtor.com looking at similar properties in different towns in ETX. I noticed that there were several large houses in Pittsburg that seemed significantly cheaper than something in neighboring towns.

Seriously I saw a couple examples that were maybe 40 to 50% of a similar house in Winnsboro, just down the road.

Is Pittsburg that undesirable now? The town seems nice enough. Are the schools bad?

Marriage license

might be a dumb question.

i just got married 3 weeks ago and filled my marriage license, justo got it back but I was under the impression that they would return a marriage certificate not the same license. Do I need to request a ma certificate separately or the license have the same legal value?
