I got a heybike villain recently and it’s my first e-bike. I’m pretty happy with it stock but I want to add a brake light. Does anyone know what the stock controller is and if it comes with a female wiring harness to easily add a 6 pin brake light? Do I need to change the controller or wiring to add the tail light? Also, I don’t see any brake lights spec’s for 52V. I see 36V - 48V on Amazon. Does the voltage matter for this?

I am looking for an e-bike for a 6-mile round trip commute and occasional recreation riding. I need something that can climb 6-14% grades over about one mile of that trip. I’d say most of the grade is around 8-10%. I weigh 285 and need something that is going to help me get up the hill without punishing my muscles and lungs, especially at first as I’m out of shape. I have fibromyalgia and a mostly healed back injury so I need enough power to get home on the “bad days” without intense pain. Which also means upright riding position is likely preferable.

Budget is under $2k but prefer closer to $1k so I can use some budget to make it comfortable and safe (bags, baskets, seat, helmet, etc.) without finding other funds for that.

I keep finding “deals” but honestly I think they are just cobbled together low quality parts that are branded and given fake reviews.

Asking for reputable brands, and specific bikes that have power and quality, if anyone has recommendations.

The stock headlight on my Elby S1 ebike broke. I purchased a replacement, unfortunately the required input is 12V. The bike only supplies 6V.

Any suggestion on how to step up the voltage?

After a lot of read of forums I pulled the trigger and bought to my wife the Vado 4.0 st so she can get her bike rides comfortably and build some fitness with bikes.

While installing the bike I reach an issue with the front wheel trying to mount it and when I am tighting the axel to the wheel it starts finding the side of the fork.

Any ideas??? What have I done wrong or I got a problematic on arrival?
