I’m thinking about getting one of the smaller winbot models, but I’m a little confused about the difference between the winbot mini and the mini 2.

The main problem is my small bathroom windows. They’re narrow, close to the handle, and the outside gets water spots whenever it rains, so they start looking cloudy again fast.

I don’t think I need one of the bigger window robots, so I’m mainly looking at the mini models. For people who have used either one, is the original mini enough for small bathroom windows, or is the mini 2 actually worth going for?

Mostly wondering about small windows, edges, and rain marks.

Got my mom a W3 Omni for Mother's Day. She tried my w2 before and really liked it. She said she likes the new one more since it doesn't streak. That was kinda weird to me at first because mine works perfectly fine for me. So I looked into it a bit.

I think the main reason is the W3 has the pad washing feature, so the pads stay clean without getting overly wet. She used to soak the pads too much and would use one pad for several windows, so once the extra water dried, it would leave marks behind.

So if you're getting streaks, rinse the pads really well after washing, especially if you used fabric softener. Don’t make the pads too wet since too much water can also make the robot slip a bit. Swap or wash the pad after each window if possible. Wiping down the Winbot tracks every now and then helps too. Also don’t clean windows in direct sunlight if you can. :)
