I saw Ed Sheeran in Indianapolis yesterday, and it was my first time seeing him live! He was absolutely amazing, and I was so happy to hear so many of the songs I’d been wanting to hear live as a fan of his.

The one thing I was a little disappointed with was the sound quality. I was sitting in the 3NN section, and I noticed that the sound seemed to get more muddled and almost distorted as he kept layering sounds using the loop station. I feel like it would have been so much more enjoyable if the audio had been clearer.

I don’t have much experience with concerts, so I’m wondering if this is fairly common with live performances, if the acoustics at yesterday’s venue were particularly bad, or if it was just my experience from where I was sitting.

I’d love to hear what other people thought of the sound at the Indianapolis show, or how it compares to other Ed Sheeran concerts you’ve been to!

Did anyone recognize the song playing as everyone exited the stadium after the show ended? Was it a sneak peak of a potential new album?? I don’t think I’ve ever heard it before

I just wanted to vent. I did what I thought was the right thing, I signed up for the artist presale. I have a lower budget so I went with the nosebleeds because that was what I could afford. They were $98 per ticket. They are now going for $25 and I tried Thursday to upgrade to better seats for the same price to no avail. Did anyone else have this feeling looking at the ticket prices and no seat upgrades available?

Ed debuted his unreleased song on May 29, 2015, during a concert at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. Known as “Amsterdam” or “Sweet Mary Jane” or the two together! Mary Jane is a term used for marijuana, so the song was probably gonna be one the songs for X about drugs but got cut for ”Bloodstream”

Second performance: June 9, 2015, in Des Moines, Iowa.

So he only played it live twice. It was around the same time as he played “Forever”, “New York” and “English Rose” so he was likely considering it for “X (Wembley Edition)”

There is a very rare studio version that has leaked as well.
