Was wondering if anyone in this area had a good recommendation for places that do car cleanouts and detailing? Looking to get the interior spiffed up and cleaned after 2 years of neglect.

Don’t mind paying for good quality, just want care taken. Went to a place in the Loop and realized 1 week later they may have cracked my tail light but I can’t prove it unfortunately.

I've been in NYC the last few years, and it's extremely normal (even expected) that you negotiate your rent increases each year. Is that reasonably normal here too, or should I take their offer as "unlikely to budge"? It's not a huge increase, but the property management company isn't very useful and our budget is tight as is.

My spouse and and I, and our upstairs neighbor, are discussing having a garage sale. We had one probably 20 years ago, so things have changed. I wondered if someone could answer some questions.

I assume I still need to get a permit from the city? Or is that not important anymore?

Where do people advertise them? Here? Craigslist? We used to go to "The Reader," but I don't think anyone looks at those classifieds anymore.

We live a block from Newgard (North of Devon) and that street has a large yard/garage sale weekend, but I never know when. I would love to 'piggyback' on that large sale, if possible. Does anyone know when it's happening?

Are garage sales still strictly cash only? Do people offer something like Zelle or Venmo for sales?
