Thawing Eggs @ 35 (frozen @ 29)

Long time lurker so wanted to give back to the community!

Started my egg freezing journey because I had a ectopic pregnancy when I was 23 and lost a tube. Went in for testing and discovered low amh for my age (8.2 pmol). Froze my eggs in 2 rounds (10 1st, then 6).

Thank god I did, TTC naturally this year and had another ectopic, so IVF is now our only option.

Age when frozen: 29
Age currently: 35
# of eggs thawed: 16 (10 + 6)
# of eggs survived the thaw: 12
# of eggs successfully fertilized: 9
# of embryos for genetic testing: 4 (+ we fresh transferred 1 embryo, so 5 total)
# of euploids: 4

My doctor wanted to do a fresh transfer after the thaw, unfortunately it resulted in a chemical pregnancy, but we got the amazing news today that our 4 sent off for testing all came back euploid! So our assumption is that the one we transferred was not.

Looking back, I do wish we used our funded cycle (live in Ontario canada) for another egg retrieval instead of applying it to thawing 1 cohort (the group of 10) of our eggs. We want 2 kids, so although 4 euploids is amazing, I’d feel more comfortable with 5 or 6.

🤞🤞🤞🤞for our upcoming FET
