Unlike iPhones, the NFC sensing position of Android phones varies from brand to brand and model to model. It is recommended to check the official NFC sensing area specified by the phone manufacturer before transmission, so as to accurately locate the optimal NFC sweet spot. After positioning correctly, a seamless close fit must be ensured to avoid air gaps, which would otherwise attenuate the resonant energy transmitted by NFC.

Even if operating in accordance with the above steps, some Android phones still fail to complete NFC photo transmission due to differences in hardware settings including native NFC energy parameters. Photo transmission requires far higher standards for NFC energy output and transmission stability than basic data transfer scenarios such as access control cards and ordinary NFC tags.

In terms of iPhone compatibility: all models from iPhone 13 to 17 are fully functional and compatible. The iPhone 12 series features relatively outdated hardware; a certain proportion of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini devices support successful transmission, while the iPhone 11 series does not support this NFC photo transfer function. This note has been clearly specified in the product user manual, and the iPhone 13–17 series are the recommended compatible models. Before transmission, please remove the phone case without exception. Locate the NFC sweet spot, attach the phone closely to the fridge magnet following the alignment angle illustrated on the outer package, and hold it firmly with your thumb and index finger. Do not move the device once transmission begins. The transmission is only confirmed successful when the word "Share" pops up on the phone screen upon full completion.

The Bluetooth photo dock tailored for Android devices (also compatible for iPhone) has finished development. Nevertheless, the official launch of this transmission dock will be postponed. The main purpose is to complete technical adaptation for the upcoming Spectra 6 wide-gamut e-ink fridge magnets,which require even higher NFC energy consumption. In the end, this Bluetooth transmission solution will be compatible with both Spectra 3100 and Spectra 6 two major series of e-ink fridge magnets.
