Why would anybody buy a game from this company again, considering their track record for twice now abandoning games after 6 months?

They did it with the Finals, now they've done it with Arc. Why would you get a game that they will once again claim will get updates, but will just be tossed aside in 6 months for a shiny new development cycle?

Just played trios with the boys for 3 hours. Disappointed…

… in all the pansies that say this game is dead. The game still fucks. Shot a few arc, mostly shot raiders, got out with both kinds of booty. Just had a good night of games I guess. Jump on here and first post I see is that the game is dead. This game has something for everyone and almost every game with its unique play shows that. Embark hit it out of the park. Game fucks.

Does the algorithm even work??

Honestly. Does it even work?? I am a loot goblin. Lol, that’s it. I don’t PvP, I have never shot a person (unless being shot at) but I still end up in lobbies with a-holes and pvp’ers and end up getting merked. I really enjoyed this game but gawd dayum. I’m super tired of losing stuff because there is no actual algorithm that weeds out the jerks that kill loot goblins for sport 😪

I need to rant rq

ARC Raiders is a complete joke of a game. Between the crashes and unbalanced matchmaking. Im so damn over it. Ive crashed 5 times in the past HOUR!! theres no reason a game like DayZ (which came out a decade ago) runs and plays better than this POS game. And the maps are exponentially larger with way more people!!! Make ts make sense, and i was playing Dayz on a OG xbox one. Shit is absolutely ridiculous at this point. Game is un-fucking-playable if i could get my refund i would in a heartbeat . Fuck this game Embark need to do better and fix this issue instead of spoiling the china clients with new shit. Your player base is suffering

Arc raiders desperately needs an arcade "break" mode

My group started with 6-7 players at launch, even made some new friends inside the game. Everyone has quit, and i think the player count is down 84% since release? I have 850 hours topside but i've realised that the only reason i still log in is that arc is still part of my routine.

Apart from the obvious issues I don't think the extraction gameplay is the problem. It's the fact that there isn't another way to enjoy the game when you don't feel like sweating every raid.

I'd love to see something implemented like Apex's "Mixtape" which is just one constsantly rotating (changes every 15min) playlist of game modes such as TDM, gun run and control.

It would somewhat bridge the gap between people just feel like killing for the sake of it and people that have had no practice shooting other raiders. I'd definately suggest killcams though, mainly so we can report all the cheaters.

Maybe even a PvE zombies style survival mode except with arc.

Choose from some preset loadouts so people can jump in for 10-15 minutes, warm up, mess around with friends, or just have a break from risking their gear.

The best part is they wouldn't even need to make brand-new maps. There are already so many areas that would work like Stella's lobby, Dam's research + admin or testing annex or Blue Gate's underground.

Plenty of other POIs could easily be turned into small arena maps.

I love this game and I'd hate to see it go the way it's heading. Right now, if you're burnt out on the extraction loop, your only option is to log off. That's exactly what happened to every one of my mates, and once they stopped logging in, none of them came back

Give people a reason to stay in Arc Raiders, even on the days they don't feel like grinding. I honestly think a mode like this would do wonders for the game's longevity.

Thoughts?

Ps. Im doing a 4th expedition purely not to lose my scrappy and repair bonus now which is fucking ridiculous.

I need to rant.

Go into dam, get some loot. Kill some Arc. That's all I wanted to do. Got to the two security lockers on the spillway first. Started looting. Heard a player get shot and killed. I had already put the bridges back up. Decided to wait the killer out. He knew I was there and he's thinking of a way to get me. I spied a snitcher so I shot it to come towards me and bring others to distract him while I make my escape. He shot it down. I just stood to listen. To figure out what to do, then I heard him running, he's going to try and get to me. I decided to jump down, I knew I'd survive that jump. I did and I ran, I have stims and was willing to run to the farthest hatch I could find. I would win that race, I knew it. Oh but wait, embark has other ideas. My game kicked me straight to my home screen. I have great Internet. Thats not the problem. I loaded back and was hoping the killer hadn't found me and I can reconnect but of course he did, I was right out in the open. I lost a ren 4 with green and blue attachments, wolpacks, herbals, seekers, heavy gun parts, shield rechargers, I got a Bettina from the lockers and a few minor things. Even though it wasn't high end stuff, I'm still a little bit angry. I had no way of fighting back. I had lost a good loadout yesterday to a friendly rat at the harvester event. I'm losing the love for this game. So many things keep going wrong and yet cheaters and dupers are having a grand old time.

Devs Made a Weapon Analysis Tool

Yeah so in 1.33 a new folder was added to the game files, FirearmAnalysis and you can locally run the html website and import the data to see how they analyze and balance the weapons.

Thought peeps might be interested in this as it will probably be removed in a future patch and that its generally quite odd to see this kinda thing.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arc Raiders\PioneerGame\Extra\FirearmAnalysis"

I guess message me if you want the data I put together, I dont want to post files here cause download links are sus, even if its 6KB of csv files.

How to save arc raiders with a real PVPVE experience

![img](ybm4axd4vg9h1)

I've been playing ARC Raiders for a while now, and after reading and compiling various comments from the community, I think many of us have reached the same conclusion: the game has incredible potential, but its current direction is slowly killing it. My main issue (and that of many others) is that the game took a sharp turn towards PvP, but they keep disguising it as PvPvE.

Currently, the system punishes good morals, sociability, and acting in good faith. This only benefits those who play aggressively or unfairly, and paradoxically, it also ends up hurting those who genuinely want a good PvP experience.

**The current problem in both worlds:**

* **The PvE experience is broken:** Those of us who want to play PvE log in for fun. We want to kill ARCs, socialize, make friends in the wasteland, and experience those funny, chaotic situations that made the game go viral in the first place. Nowadays, that's almost impossible because the matchmaking has gotten significantly worse. * **PvP is unrewarding:** On the other hand, hardcore PvP players spend their time killing peaceful players, and their loot is garbage. Their inventories get filled with Anvils 4 and white bandages because they aren't fighting people prepared for combat; they are fighting farmers.

I understand that tweaking algorithms isn't easy for the developers, but based on what the community itself has been asking for, I propose a couple of fairly simple solutions to balance this before the player base drops any further:

Solution 1: The "Raider Code"

An optional mechanic you choose before deploying. On each map, **right before entering the matchmaking queue**, you would have the option to check a box to "Respect the Raider Code", under the promise of playing PvE.

* **How does it work in-game?** It doesn't make you immortal. Friendly fire and player damage remain active (you can still shoot each other). * **The punishment:** If you queued up under the "Raider Code" and decide to betray, kill, and loot other raiders, the system penalizes you heavily. It blocks your access to "good code" lobbies and sends you straight into a much more aggressive matchmaking pool (with other traitors/pure PvP players). * **How to avoid false positives?** If you deal damage by mistake or in crossfire, the system allows you to heal or revive that player to redeem yourself and stay under the Raider Code.

Solution 2: Behavior-based Matchmaking (Long-term Karma)

The matchmaking needs to be adjusted similarly to the old system (the "8 deaths without shooting back to the carebear lobbies" one), but with a stricter approach.

* The system must prioritize heavily penalizing the player who **shoots, kills, and loots first**. If you do this repeatedly, you go straight to PvP-exclusive lobbies. * **Continuous history:** The game shouldn't just track your last few matches. It should analyze a continuous behavioral pattern that generates an invisible "tag". If you are a player who constantly attacks first, the game permanently categorizes you there.

Additional Recommendation: Separate Solo / Squad Queues

It is urgent to add separate matchmaking for Solo players and Squads. A lot of people play strictly PvE, and those who enjoy both modes deserve a true PvPvE experience. Ultimately, the current PvP in ARC Raiders is just a "PvP" where the machines aren't considered a real threat, just a minor annoyance on the map.

If cooperation isn't rewarded and killing unarmed players just for the sake of it continues to be encouraged, the game will lose its essence.

What do you guys think? Do you believe a reputation system or the Raider Code would help clean up the lobbies?
