First layer squished/transparent on the left, perfect on the right (Ender 3 V2 Neo). I've checked all the usual suspects, please help

Hey everyone, I'm losing my mind over a first-layer issue on my Ender 3 V2 Neo and could really use some advanced troubleshooting ideas.

As you can see in the pictures, the left side of my skirt/first layer is completely squished and transparent (nozzle too close), while the right side looks perfectly fine.

Here is what I have ALREADY done/checked, so we can rule these out:

Firmware: Running mriscoc Professional Firmware.

Bed Leveling: Used the Tramming Wizard. The bed is mechanically trammed perfectly (within 0.00 - 0.01mm tolerance on all corners).

ABL / Mesh: Created a fresh mesh and saved it.

Has anyone experienced this exact asymmetrical issue after perfect tramming? What else should I check physically? Thanks!

Need clarification on JST connector compatibility

I bought a replacement thermistor without checking that the connector it came with was compatible with the cable already in use with my setup. Already bought a different one with a longer cable since this one is too short to run through the mesh thing with the rest, but i remain curious as to how i could get this setup working.

So uh, can I shove this (what i assume is a) female JST 2.54XH onto this male JST SM connector and expect everything to work fine, or will it cause some kind of catastrophic malfunction if i turn it on? I have heard it supposedly won't work, but i have yet to see anyone explain why or what would happen if you try 🤔
