On my desktop it already does this, but I just got a new laptop and I cannot for the life of me figure out where the option is to always open the comments in a new tab.

Smaller screen and one monitor make this necessary on the laptop right now and I've tried and toggled 3-5 options between RES and reddit preferences and nothing seems to work.

Normally it wouldn't bother me because I'd have a mouse with a middle button but I don't have that on the laptop.

Anyway, please help me find peace with this.

Specifically Notion AI. I've tried a bunch of different phrases ("AI", "ai", " ai ", "Notion%2BAI", "/ ai */i", "/^(AI)/i", "Notion AI", "notion AI", ":ai: Notion AI", ":ai:+Notion+AI") and NOTHING seems to work. Any help figuring out how to hide these posts would be gladly appreciated!

With the recent issues of the account switcher no longer working due to Reddit changes. We have taken the decision to disable the account switcher from RES and migrate people who have it enabled to be turned off.

With the endpoint no longer working and no option for us, we do not want to set expectation that it should work.

We will be releasing 5.24.9 today with this and a few quality of life bug fixes.

Recovering Passwords Via RES Command Line

1. Launch the RES command line:
   • Press . (period) using Keyboard Navigation
   • or click here and click Launch (do this in a new tab).
2. A black box will appear.
3. Copy and paste in: RESStorage get RESoptions.accountSwitcher and press enter.
4. A box will appear containing a pile of JSON like {"accounts":{"value":[["username","password",false],["user1","user1password",false]]}}
5. Look for your account and password (bolded above).

What's up?

I use night mode to save my eyes at least a bit from staring at screens all day. Recently, navigating links within reddit results in a bright white flash as it loads to the next page. Not sure if it's night mode failing to the default white for a split second or what.

Where does it happen?

Clicking through any link (to posts, back tot he feed, between Home/All/subs, etc.)

Anyone else having this issue? Starting today trying to switch accounts causes a popup stating

>"Could not switch accounts. Reddit may be under heavy load. Please try again in a few moments."

The account switcher is the main feature I use RES for so I'm hoping it isn't a big issue. I'll edit this post if it starts working suddenly.

I think this feature could do wonders.

• Half my best thoughts never become posts & a story feature would actually let them out
• 24-hour disappear thing means less pressure to be perfect :)
• New subs always feel dead, stories would make them look alive instantly
• Mods could drop quick updates without spamming the feed
• Polls and reactions in stories beat waiting on comments lol
• It'd give me a reason to open Reddit every day
• Less karma anxiety when the post vanishes anyway
