I recently installed a brand new Eonon E39X7S, their flagship and first Android 14 Head unit. After driving for the first ~5 minutes a seemingly random audio bug occured for the first time, before that the radio sounded absolutely perfect. Sometimes the radio recovers itself, sometimes it needs ignition to be switched off and on, and sometimes it even needs a hard reset with a thin needle.

I updated all the software and ofc wrote their support which seemed helpfull at first, but just left me hanging since last wednesday.

I attached a video of the issue. There is also a filter+fuse box that is part of the short iso radio harness, which I did not use as I had my original radio in the trunk and used Eonons own A0590 extension, which does not have this box at all. I am unsure if I should cut it out of the short harness and integrate it into the 6m one. The original BM54 radio module is still connected inside of the trunk to the four-wired quadlock connector that is part of the extension. The two 17 pin cables in the trunk are unused.

I also did a VIN decode and my car does not have HiFi, nor the DSP. So the resler stick + IBUS App does not fix this issue, eventho I am already planning on installing it, but only after the radio works properly.

On a side note, the parking sensor visualization and the speedo in the main menu of the HU does also not work and i already ordered a newer canbux-box with PDC supported. It should arrive any day now, but I do not expect it to fix the audio issue.

1. Check the fuse following the steps in the reference video: https://youtu.be/jry8RZSW1NU). Replace it with a 15A fuse if damaged.
2. Disconnect the CANBUS first, then short-circuit the red and yellow wires connected to CANBUS (refer to this video: https://youtu.be/wP9G3GTeOSI) and test if the unit powers on:

• If it turns on: Replace the CANBUS cable and power cord.
• If it still fails to power on: The main unit likely has hardware damage, which cannot be resolved remotely. Please contact customer support for after-sales service. https://www.eononsupport.com/ContactUs.html

Regarding the issue with button responsiveness on the X6S / X6S2 following the recent update, our technical team is actively investigating the cause.

In the meantime, you can try this temporary workaround to restore functionality:

1. Press the RST reset button to reboot the head unit once.

Please follow the steps shown in the attached video: tap the specified button. Once redirected to the next page, long-press the display screen on all 5 devices to recalibrate the touch keys.

1. Keep the main unit powered on, then press and hold the RST reset button without releasing it.

2. Hold the reset button for roughly 20 seconds. Release the RST button only after the indicator light flashes rapidly three times for the second time; the device will boot into the system restore & upgrade interface afterward.

3.Tap the screen briefly to navigate options, and long-press to confirm. Select Wipe data/factory reset to restore factory settings.

4.Once restoration finishes, choose Reboot system now to restart the device.

5. If the above operations fail to resolve the problem, download the firmware to update the main unit and repeat the preceding steps. Replace the option Wipe data/factory reset with Apply update from Sd card or USB instead, and complete the following preparations first:

a. Download the firmware upgrade file.

b. Format your USB flash drive to FAT32 file system.

c. Copy the downloaded compressed file directly to the root directory of the formatted USB drive — do not unzip the file.

d. Plug the USB drive into the USB port of the main unit.
