What is the perception of the French football team within France?

As a casual spectator of football, the French team is deemed one of the strongest squads in the tournament.

Obviously, a lot of players on the team are children of African immigrants. Living in Europe, I'm aware of quite a strong anti immigrant sentiment in France/Germany and other EU countries.

How does this impact the team's perception in France? Since they're so good, does the patriotism outweigh the people's other issues? Does the country rally behind them or do people have issues with them being not ethnically French?

Will France be cheated by an inferior referee?

As I understand it. France from Europe and Paraguay from South America.

Therefore a referee from those two continents cannot referee the match.

I mean every other continent has shitty refs compared to those two footballing continents. This sets up well for a Paraguayan farce and playing the referee with their farcical tactics?

Victoire surprise du Paraguay contre une Allemagne bien décevante.

De mon côté j’ai peur que les Bleus rentrent dans le match de l’anti-jeu absolu des Paraguayens, et j’ai le sentiment qu’un joueur se fera sérieusement blesser par ces détraqués.
