I thinking about deleting the channels i was working on and start a clean slate with a general entertainment network utilizing the various movies and programs i have on a portable hard drive.
I've organized them by age demographics:
And i also got various music videos, idents/bumpers and adverts.
So what do you guys think. Is it worth a shot and if i decide to do that, how should I organize the schedule(s)?
Got ErsatzTV set up through windows, tried to connect to plex, no libraries showed up. I was able to add my local libraries (which is where Plex gets all the information) but now I can't seem to get the Tuner set up to register the host name. Do I need to figure out how to connect plex properly or am I missing something else?
Thanks in advance
So like the older we'll return after these messages or stay tuned after this or similar stuff but not branded to any specific channels
I set up a channel to stream through my jellyfin with my media library and tor some reason when its on its jumping my cpu usage from like 3% per core up to a whopping 97% as it says in htop. The only thing ive found thats a sort of fix is changing the FFmpeg profile to use a 2 thread count which calms it down closer to a 50% after 10 or 20 minutes. How can i sustainability run the channel without it taking up the entire cpu? Im running it through docker on debian.
Is anyone here using ErsatzTV? It looks really interesting and I've been thinking about setting it up.
One of the features that's really caught my eye is that the documentation mentions songs. As in music, different than music videos.
https://ersatztv.org/docs/media/local/songs/
https://ersatztv.org/docs/lists/playlist
There are no other mentions of these song channels though so I'm wondering how they actually look and work. Is it like those cable TV stations that just play music and have a static music trivia screen? Because that would be amazing.
I'd be using Plex as my client for ErsatzTV so if you've used the song channel feature and use it on Plex then I'd appreciate any insight or some screenshots if you could show an example.
thank you
heres a mock up of what im trying to do
