Which backpack should I buy for college? Budget is under 1.5k.

I'm joining an engineering college soon and need a backpack for daily use.

I'll be carrying:

  • 15.6" laptop
  • Charger
  • 4–5 notebooks
  • Water bottle
  • Pencil pouch
  • Occasionally a lunch box

My priorities are:

  • Durability (3–4 years)
  • Comfortable shoulder straps
  • Good zippers

If you've used any of these for 6+ months, what was your experience? Are there any better backpacks under 1.5k that I should consider?

Thanks!

Need suggestions for bagpack.

I am looking for a backpack for my office as well as weekend treks/1 or 2-day trips. For the backpack, I am looking for a padded laptop compartment, and storage should be around 30 to 40 liters. I have seen many backpacks but haven't found anything good. I liked the backpacks below very much, but there are minor issues:

1 - Decathlon Escape 32L - Everything is good, but it looks too bulky and does not have compression straps like other Decathlon bags.

2 - Decathlon 30L travel backpack - good, but again, it looks too bulky for the office.

3 - I really wanted to buy the Tripole Fox backpack, but it has been out of stock for a very long time.

I am currently using a Lenovo laptop bag, but it can only carry a laptop and a few small things.

Budget-wise, I can spend around 3.5k.

Please help.

The perfect MacBook sleeve

Picked up this Aspinal of London Classic today Laptop case for my 16” MacBook Pro after quite some research. They also have an option to personalize it by embossing your initials.

Honestly, this feels like the only right premium option. It is clean, slim, luxurious, and practical for daily carry.

New backpack

Bought a new backpack, wanted to avoid Mokobara and Eume.

These kinda look similar Mokobara Teriyaki though.

Thoughts:

- Clean black look, doesn't screen for attention.

- huge carrying capacity, I travel a lot so I kind of needed 3-4 days of clothing capacity plus gadgets.

- can easily fit in 16' mac pro and access to the pocket is amazing.

- Zips are really really wel made, I used to have an uppercase backpack and those zips are still in top condition after 3+ years of use but the ones on aethon are just amazing!

- shoulder strap adjustment comes with lockers and metal holders to hold the straps together so they don't hang in the air when you wear them.

Things I stuffed it with to check:

- 3 jeans 3 shirts 2 tshirts 3 pairs of socks.

- laptop, ipad, eyeglass case, 20000mAh power bank ,adapter and cables

- 50 ML perfume.

- one over the air headphones.

- swiss army knife.

- 2 wallets + passport.

Things I didn't like:

- Shoulder straps are kind of has less padding, so I need to see how that handles during long walks or outings.

- bottle carrying is an absolute joke. Had a tough time fitting a 750ML insulated bottle.

- a lot of use of metals make it a bit heavy (it's a positive because metals are really high quality).

  2. Calculator

  3. Mechanical pencil.
