New backpack for office and Week long trips after retiring my 6 year old American Tourister.

After almost 6 years, I'm thinking of retiring my American Tourister backpack which served me very well. For 6 years it survived from daily office work to summers of Jaisalmer to Colds of Dharamshala. Due to some wear and tear I'm thinking of retiring it now.

Now, I have four backpacks that I've shortlisted for my work and travel lifestyle.

My workplace has it's own desktop so my daily carry consists of 3 level tiffin, 2.2 litre water bottle and all the daily essentials like, wallet, pens, specs, tech pouch etc. I like all my things very organised thus I've picked this among so many.

While travelling, it's mostly tshirts and a couple of denim jeans and a tablet.

Please help me deciding in on one bag that'll last me years.

Thanks in advance.

Oakley Mag switch

I got across them while cleaning. Any idea if they are worth anything?

I read they are collectible and vintage. I don't have any idea regarding sunglasses and the history behind it.

Any advice will be welcomed.

Great Backpack from Harissons (Teknos 35L)

This Teknos 35L is a banger. My Skybags 40L backpack broke after taking a decade of abuse. Backpack is a personal space item and I like to pick that will serve my purpose as long as possible and in a budget because of month-end; so after a week of excruciating going through reviews and online search, I put my faith in this and it hasn't let me down.

It's spacious. Has a really cool hidden compartment. Can fit 3 days of clothes, accessories, laptop easily. Great modern design. I personally never cared for features like RFID blocking and USB charging. Many give 5W outlets for the sake of adding a feature. My budget was 5000 but I got this for 3617. So that was icing on the cake.

Canvas Backpack Built Like a Tank (Armoro SABIC)

Three things absolutely plague almost every standard canvas bag out there:

They act like a sponge the second it rains.

They love developing mold in humid weather.

They fade and lose their look after a few months under the sun.

I’ve been testing a backpack that actually fixes all three issues while keeping a very clean, minimalist aesthetic for the office, college, or weekend travel: the Armoro SABIC All-Day Backpack.

Instead of standard cotton canvas, this one uses an industrial-grade Rhinotuff® Outdoor Canvas (born out of the brand's 4x4 off-roading pedigree), making it water-repellent, anti-mold, and UV-resistant.

At ₹2,800, it features a deceptively spacious 23L "bucket" design, generous front quick access, YKK hardware, and a dedicated 15.6" laptop sleeve. It’s essentially the "Rahul Dravid" of my collection right now—understated, highly reliable, and built to take a beating.

If you are looking for a rugged daily driver that doesn't look like a generic polyester tech bag, this is well worth your consideration.

I’ve put together a quick, no-nonsense video breaking down the ergonomics, the "bucket" storage layout, and a real-world look at how the material handles spills.

Check out the full breakdown and see the material in action here: SABIC Review

Tiny EDC Tool. Loud When It Matters

My brother has been experimenting with making compact safety whistles and I honestly found them pretty interesting from an EDC/preparedness perspective.

The whistle in the photos is extremely small and lightweight — something that can easily live on:

  • keychains
  • backpack zippers
  • sling bags
  • car keys
  • emergency kits

What I liked is that unlike many “EDC accessories”, this is actually practical and can be useful in real situations.

Especially for:

  • women travelling alone
  • elderly family members
  • kids/college students
  • trekkers
  • night commuters
  • emergency situations where attracting attention quickly matters

The bright color also makes it easier to locate inside a bag or low-light situation.

Personally, I feel this kind of item sits in a very interesting space:
small enough to forget you’re carrying it, but potentially very useful when needed.

We are planning to make more of these in different colors and attachment styles for EDC, key-chains and emergency carry setups.

Would love to know:

  • Would you carry something like this?
  • Would you gift one to family members?
  • What colors/materials/designs would you prefer?

Feel free to share honest feedback or suggestions.

Backpack for 2 laptop + traveling needs

Hi all,

I travel often between city I work and hometown.

I am looking for a backpack that I can carry 2 16inch laptop and one tab.

Along with some travel specific mini items like powerbank and water bottle.

I travel by train and have 0 confidence to keep laptops inside my suitcase below the seat even though I put chain and lock.

I've got a nice bag 46L capacity of artic fox, currently using for office and traveling also, very perfect in size and design, but it becomes too heavy, almost feels like a LPG gas cylinder on shoulders when i load with 2 laptops and basic items.

Any bag suggestions similar ones, that's strong light weight and travel friendly
