Telephoto long exposure of the “Nebula Effect” from the SpaceX boostback burn. [OC] [4145 x 5000]
SpaceX launched the Globalstar 2-R mission, and it created another incredible nebula effect from the boostback burn on Saturday night (August 15, 2026).
Long exposure of a departing flight. [OC] [2664x3330]
ISO64 SS120s f/16
cascade of stars [OC] [2048X1072]
I'd long wanted to try photographing a panorama with star trails, but for one reason or another, I'd never had the chance. While on La Palma, I finally decided to dedicate an entire night to this project, taking advantage of one of the darkest skies in Europe and a location that seemed perfect for attempting something I'd long had in mind.
That evening, however, wasn't easy at all: the wind was blowing fiercely, and keeping my equipment stable during the sequence of shots was a real challenge. I had to make several attempts and be very patient before I managed to get a sufficiently clear sequence.
In the end, I managed to capture this shot, with the stars rotating above the volcanic landscape. After putting off this type of shot for so long, I'm happy to have finally managed to capture it right here, under one of the most beautiful skies I've ever photographed.
City glow | Sony A7RV & Viltrox 27mm f1.2
After what felt like a whole summer, the skies finally cleared during recent night with no moon. Plan was to escape the city glow and shoot a Milkyway panorama in which I partially succeeded as light pollution from the city still took over the centre of the frame.

*Yes, I know that Viltrox 27mm f1.2 is an APS-C lens, I'm in the process of selling it and getting an FF equivalent. Recommendations are welcomed.
