Is this an okay move?

We all know the AI tend to leave alot of space and doesn't defend that well so if I did this online would it be okay? I don't play online tbh bc I don't like open lobby players lol.

This is on 105 ai, no assists.

F1 2016 turns 10 years old today!

This was my first F1 game I ever played, and it felt like yesterday when I went to game to get the pre ordered copy. Been doing a career mode on it recently and this game still holds pretty well, the graphics still look good, the Ai make mistakes which adds a layer to the game, yes the ai do silly things at times and the physics are interesting but I was really impressed by the fact the ai can overtake each other, in some games they barely do but I was getting overtakes at Monaco! And they had some good wheel to wheel with each other. This was first game in which career mode returned and I like the small niche thing that showed which teams brought upgrades, you don't get that anymore

I am glad this was my first game, I played most of the games ever since

Logitech G923 feels way too light/sloppy in F1 25 — anyone else?

I’ve been trying to fix this for a while and I’m kinda lost now.

I use a Logitech G923 and in Assetto Corsa Competizione the steering feels really good and actually has some weight to it. I have to put some effort into turning the wheel, which is what I want.

But in F1 25, the wheel feels insanely light and sloppy. I can turn it way too easily even after messing around with FFB strength, wheel damper, G HUB settings, rotation, etc.

I’m not really talking about kerb effects or vibration either. I specifically want the actual steering to feel heavier and resist my hands more when I turn.

Since ACC feels strong on the exact same wheel, I’m wondering if this is just how F1 25 handles the G923?

Anyone else using a G923 having the same issue? And for people using DD wheels like MOZA/Fanatec/Logitech Pro, does F1 25 actually feel heavy to steer for you?

Need advice: F1 26 now or wait for F1 27?

I’m kinda stuck between a few options and want some outside opinions.

I currently own F1 25, and every time I play it I keep thinking about getting F1 26. I really want the new game/content, but I also hate playing outdated F1 games.

The problem is that F1 27 should be coming in roughly 10 months, and I’m expecting it could be a pretty big upgrade from F1 26. The F1 26 DLC is around $42, so I’m worried that I’ll buy it now, enjoy it for 10 months, and then F1 27 comes out and I immediately feel like F1 26 is outdated.

At the same time, I know I’d probably regret not getting F1 26 because I already want it every time I play F1 25.

I also want a soccer game. I rented/played FC 26 before and really liked it, but I don’t own any FC game right now. I’m considering EA Play for around $7, which would give me access to FC 26 instead of buying it outright and also give me a 5$ discount on the DLC. I also already have one controller, but I want another controller so I can play FC with my Friends

So my options are basically:

1. EA Play + F1 26 DLC + second controller

  • Get FC 26 through EA Play
  • Get F1 26 now at discounted price
  • Get another controller
  1. FC 26  + second controller, skip F1 26
  • Get FC 26
  • Play F1 25 for now
  • Wait for F1 27
  • Avoid spending $42 on a game that might feel outdated soon

3. Buy FC 26 + F1 26 + second controller

  • Own FC 26 instead of using EA Play
  • Get F1 26
  • Have two controllers
  • Skip F1 27 and probably keep FC 26 for years

4. Just wait And buy FC 26 for 40$

  • Keep playing F1 25
  • Wait for F1 27 and decide everything later

The thing making this difficult is that F1 27 makes more sense logically, especially if it's a big upgrade, but I feel like I'd regret not experiencing F1 26 now.

What would you guys do?

Silverstone my team

Is it just me that thinks Silverstone is undrivable in this game? The battery runs out so easily and hardly ever recharges. Such a fun track is absolutely ruined on this game 🫩. If anyone knows how to manage your battery on the track pls drop the method 😭

Just got the game. Looking for someone to show me the ropes?

I’m a fast learner, just looking for someone to play with who enjoys teaching. I understand F1 and racing but I do not understand how the game ecosystem works and what is “meta” and what I should be focusing on or doing to make my time productive.

Real teams are now in RaceLivery Studio!

You could already design a MyTeam livery and export it as a mod. Now you can put that design on any of the eleven 2026 team slots instead.

What actually goes in the slot is the MyTeam (FOM) chassis wearing the team's name — not the team's own chassis. That was a deliberate choice, and here is the reasoning, because I think it's the interesting part.

Every team's car has its own UV layout, and they are not comparable. Reading them out of the game's own archives: the body paints from 4096² on the Red Bull, 2048² on the Ferrari, 1024² on the Williams, and 256² on the Haas — the whole car, at 256 pixels square. Measured against how much bodywork each atlas has to cover, a sponsor logo on the 2026 Haas gets about 45 texels per metre where the Red Bull gets 1427. Thirty times. Several cars also read the same texels from two places, so a logo on the sidepod prints again on the far flank, mirrored.

You can fix that per car — I did, for four of them, rebuilding their atlas layouts by hand over a week. But there is a harder problem underneath: a design drawn for one chassis does not cover another. Laying a MyTeam livery over a real chassis leaves large areas bare, and the cars whose shape diverges most are exactly the ones people most want to dress. I built that route, tried it in the game, and threw it away.

So the MyTeam car goes into the slot whole. The livery arrives exactly as it left the editor — nothing stretched, nothing approximated, no per-car guesswork.

How the mod is built, since it matters for stability: it does not replace the team's vehicle archive. It overrides two layer resources inside a shader package the game already loads, and ships a material set of its own. The team's handling, damage model, cameras, mirrors and VFX all stay stock, and your own MyTeam car keeps the livery you painted for it — the two never share a texture.

- Installs through Simplified Launcher like any other mod

- Each team keeps a separate design

Real chassis support isn't off the table, but it isn't close either, and I'd rather say so than imply otherwise.

Thanks to Team Simplified — the Launcher and the SERPs base files are what make any of this installable, and they answered a lot of questions about how the game's car files fit together while this was being built. Go support their work.
