First few classes and I swear everyone around me looks academically locked in while I’m still processing what just happened 😭
Please tell me I’m not the only one.
Like are we actually supposed to understand everything this early or are we all just collectively nodding and hoping for the best? 💀

Whyth it's so hard to make friends like i interacted with 2 to 3 ppl in my class and except for them i interacted with 3 to 4 more ppl in FE lab activity but it is just so hard to make friends especially in first semester. Today, i was sitting in the cafeteria and noticed that I'm not only who's suffering from this loneliness there are many more ppl. Idk why it is so hard to make new friends ,i am going to cry bye

Hello, as the title suggests i want to change my program from data science to computer science. I currently study at NUCES Lahore and am getting self gaslighted into believing I should do it cuz CS is the broader degree(also slightly maybe probably because I think CS department mein zyada chatpatte log honge i need the moj masti).

Quite stupidly I "accidentally" made Data Science my first preference and Computer Science my second and was selected on conditionally on my first preference. I was under the assumption keh like regular universities you would be allowed to change through your preferences and select the one that you like most upon getting eligible for said programs which was not the case since FAST decided to change the policy without any prior announcement.

I am a freshman currently studying in the first semester (3 days have passed).

note: (my aggregate merit does exceed the merit needed to join the CS department according to the first merit list for my respected chosen test option.)

What kinda class did I get put in 😭 I literally haven’t even memorized anyone yet every day there’s a new person and why are ALL specially the girlies so kitabi keery 😭 nobody talks to anyone, it’s giving academic hunger games over who gets to answer first 🙏🏻 esy sb already ghar sy raat k ae hoty😣

So yea its a bit of rant( not a ragebait topic I wish it was). its anonymous so u guys can be open, im in my 3rd sem now and all the girls in class are ignoring me for no purpose( other than my gpa or the fact that I do hackathons and stuff). Its honestly so infuriating and come mids time they will be all going "dsa kaha se karey" "ye sawaal kardo" and reply late to anyone of them, they will project the same "toxic" label on me. I do have a lot of cool friends outside my section but yea during classes, sittign by urself feels a bit weird( yea im overthinking). Btw one example of their classic pick me beahviour it was last exam day i was aksing them to go and eat out and they were like "its so hot" "maybe another time.we are goign home now" and the very same day, they were out with some guys of our class( btw the prblm isnt going out with guys but refusing and lying deliberately). Idk if its jsut pure jealousy. Anyways i jsut wanted to see if u guys can relate.

Why are the seats of C block classrooms so uncomfortable? Like they are literally there to hurt your back . Furthermore,the internet doesn't work it's the worst block.

Man am i the only one who isn't able to socialize or like make friends. Like everytime i try to talk to someone they seem super uninterested. Many people here already know each other through dc or reddit or insta gcs Idk anyone here. 3rd day and i haven't even interacted with anyone properly. I am afraid I'll be left alone.Cs lhr btw

How to prepare for quizes,mids ? For calculus, we were recommended a book but what are we suppose to do with it? If we practice the exercises given in that book , will it be enough or do we have to do some other things like extra material ? I have no idea what to study . How should I prepare for mids? Plzz seniors help out...

Everyone in this class is pretty reserved or I just suck at talking idk. Don't really know how to interact with these people because I feel like they don't really wanna have a conversation when I try talking. I'm mostly doing one sided interactions. I'm feeling like I'll end up alone 😭. Anybody else having this issue?

And Islamabad decided to welcome me personally with insane rain — literally got my whole dress wet even WITH an umbrella. 💀
Now I’m sitting in class, half-soaked, waiting for a teacher who may or may not exist.
Is this just a normal FAST experience or did I speedrun the first-day lore? 😭
