HSSC RESULT

Guys I am expecting my percentage in 70, is it good enough? I am not planning to give improvement exams since I know I can't handle improvement+2nd year boards+entry tests. And I'll end up messing everything up. So tell me anyone k Kya 70 percentage sahi hai? I am stressing out

Confusing policy

As far as I know, the passing threshold is now 40%, and for a subject like Mathematics, it's a total of 200 marks (100 marks in Part 1 and 100 marks in Part 2). 40% of 200 means a student needs 80 marks total to pass.My question is: If someone completely bombs their 2nd-year Math exam (gets way below passing marks individually) but their 1st-year Math score was high enough that their combined total is still over 80 marks, do they automatically pass the subject?

Has anyone seen this happen on a final transcript? PLEASE HELP ME OUT IM SO STRESSED UGH

Doubt regarding improvement marks

Helloooo
I have a question (for both ssc and HSSC) regarding improvement papers. I heard that if I apply for improvement in certain subjects and, after the result is announced, I get lower marks than I had previously obtained in those subjects, the new lower marks will be considered instead of my previous higher marks.
Could any of you please clarify whether this is correct or not😭?

unpopular opinion: boards are more tough than cies

ilook, the reason this trips everyone up is simple: cie is predictable, while federal board love giving you exam day shock.

in federal board, your textbooks look deceptively manageable. you read a chapter, the definitions seem clear, and the basic chapter end questions feel fine. but when you open the actual board exam, the examiners drop complex 5 mark derivations, twisted numericals, and tricky application questions that were nowhere to be found in your textbook. you studied the book thinking you were ready, only to get hit w a paper designed to act as a surprise stress test.

cie plays "what you see is what you get"

cambridge doesn't try to ambush you. their syllabus literally outlines every single learning objective they are legally allowed to test. if you study the cie syllabus and practice 5 years of past papers, you will recognize the exact style of question on exam day. the curriculum itself is deep and conceptual, but the paper actually matches what you were told to prepare. there are no random, out of left field surprises.

zero safety nets vs. provided tools

federal board: you get zero formula sheets. you have to memorize dozens of long, step by step mathematical derivations (like lens maker's formula or dipole fields) entirely from memory. if you panic and forget one step on page one, the whole 5 mark question is ruined.

cie: they literally print the physics formulas and constants on page 2 of the exam. they aren't testing if you can memorize an equation; they're testing if you understand how to apply it.

unguided questions vs. step by step guidance

cie breaks tough problems down into small, digestible parts. part (a) asks for time, part asks you to plug that time into velocity. federal board papers just throw a massive, unguided 5 mark problem at you with three merged concepts and leave you to figure out the entire solution path on your own.

SochBadlo By MAC

I am currently in 11th ICS. My collage have only covered 1-3 chapters per subject which is extremely slow. I am thinking of buying maths, physics and perhaps Urdu from SochBadloByMAK. I have heard alot positive about it.

If you are a batch student or was. Give me advice , is this right decision?. What benefits will I get and What are the disadvantages of it?

Also share your experience along.

Failing HSSC-I and now parents will break a bone.

I'm 100% sure I'm failing Urdu as I was so sleepy during the exam that I couldn't write anything, I made a lot of mistakes during these exams, not only that I'm afraid, me being a private candidate, that the institution where I gave exams will mess my exams up because I'm private and I didn't pay them fees (I saw them cancelling my attendance on phone when taking it, I pointed it out but they said it was all good?) Worst part is that my parents beat me a lot when it comes to disobeying them, and this time they guaranteed that they will break my knees and leg bone (idk what it is called, it is on feet) What do I do????? None in my family have any positive opinion of me (they bully me somewhat) (relatives are a big no) Should I just end it all???

Switching to Federal Board after A'levels

Posting this on behalf of a friend. I got terrible grades in A'levels, I can't get into any good university with these grades. My parents want me to switch to Federal Board now. I'm hesitant because I will have to study the whole Federal Board syllabus from scratch. Please guide what I should do.
