What’s wrong with my brand new truck? :(

fcx24m Tacoma. I got it today. I ran it for one battery And it ran great climbed some awesome stuff. Battery died, I charged it, plug it back in and now it is doing this. The back wheels are skipping under any amount of pressure which just makes the front wheels spin and it won’t climb anything anymore!! They also seem to spin much more freely, while the front wheels turn the motor over. I don’t know what’s wrong but it definitely wasn’t doing this before. I didn’t even drop it or crash it or anything. please help, it is my first crawler and it was so cool for the first 30 minutes :(

Can my K5 conquer this rock? Looking for upgrade advice! (Current build in comments)

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to get my FMS FCX24 K5 Blazer over this specific rock, but it keeps struggling (as seen in the video). I’ve already installed a few mods, but I feel like it needs a bit more performance to clear this obstacle.

Here is my current setup:
Tires: INJORA 1.0" 56×23mm Swamp Claw (S5 compound)
Wheels: INJORA 1.0" Stamped Steel (-3.78mm Offset)
Shocks: INJORA 45mm Aluminum Threaded Oil Shocks
My questions for the community:
Is it even possible for an FCX24 K5 to climb a rock like this with the right setup, or am I hitting the limits of the chassis size/wheelbase?
What should be my next upgrades to get better traction and stability?

I’m currently thinking about adding brass weights (steering knuckles or portal covers) to lower the center of gravity, or maybe looking into a weight distribution tweak.

What do you think?

Any advice on suspension tuning or specific parts would be highly appreciated!

What are the Best Upgrades for FCX24 (read description)

Hey everyone, i was looking at buying some upgrades for my fcx24 k5 blazer. I was looking at some injora wheels and tires but just wanted to know what you guys recommended. I also didnt know if the brass hex things, portal axle covers, heavy brass high clearance links and steering links were worth it. I didnt know whether to buy of amazon or get them direct from injora. Just wanted to know what wheels you guys think look good and what upgrades are worth it. Thank you!

Which wheel wrench do I need?

I have the FCX24 power wagon, and I bought some nice Injora wheels for it. They have an offset, and the wheel wrench that came with the power wagon doesn't reach in there because the nuts are in the way.

I've been using some longer brass M3 nuts that I've had to tighten with needle nose pliers, but they keep loosening themselves. Ideally I want to use the original locking nuts, but I cant get in close enough to tighten them, even with needle nose pliers.

On places like youtube I see people with a sort of screwdriver to drive the nuts on. Will this fit around the wheel nuts? What do I need to get? I'm in the UK if anyone has an amazon link. I didn't just want to search for M3 because I thought that was the internal measurement and the outside one can differ. The wrench I got in the box doesn't work with the brass nuts with any of the 4 ends.

Thoughts on this motor for the FCX24 Unimog

I’m ordering parts for my long delayed Unimog build and I this is a good motor option. Has anyone had experience with one in a trail or crawling rig ?

I also think the transmission needs to be swapped and only see the trx4m listed with this motor.

Any advise is appreciated. Thanks.

Tyres for K5 Blazer?

Hey everyone! How good are the stock tyres on the K5? Should they be replaced? If so, what tires would you recommend for traction while still maintaining the stock look?

FCX18 to FCX24 compatibility

FCX18 photo for show, but I am planning on swapping the brushless out runner system from my LC80 into my FCX24 Unimog and wanted to see if anyone has encountered any issues in the process.

I do see the parts between the platform are interchangeable and plan to use the tires, shocks and axles from the LC80 as spares.

I am thinking the wiring of the Unimog may be plug and play for the Outrunner motor and placement should be in the same location. I would also use the receiver from the LC80. My other issue is whether the two speed transmission would also swap into the Mog. I do not see any adequate aftermarket transmission options for FMS trucks.

Performance of the Unimog would be greatly improved and with some down low weight and some good tires, I’d have a good trail rig. Doing some research on this seems pretty straightforward. Does anyone have some pointers or tips for me?

I have the wooden flatbed ordered for the Unimog as well as some better wheels. I have the FairRC black mod.

My LC80 was ran twice before having power cutoff issues. I actually got a replacement esc from FairRC and then realized the issue is in the wiring. I’ve been through the truck as well as the tech at my local shop and it’s very poor quality wiring and still cut on and off with the new esc. That’s how I came up with the idea.

Any tips or knowledge would be helpful, I know the FMS aftermarket is lacking and rather than have this thing broken up on the shelf, I’d rather use the parts from it to build another truck.

Drivetrain slop and shifting issues

Hello everyone, I'm having some issues with the fcx24 k5 blazer. I recently upgraded my rig with full metal transmission gears and full metal diff gears to try and eliminate some one the slop in the drive train. The transmission gears are the set from RCAWD, and the diff gears are the non overdrive 12/24 t ones from injora. I have noticed that it helped a little bit but definitely not as much as I was hoping, as well im now having a new issue of my truck will now no longer stay in low gear. High gears seems to work no problem it will shift in and stay but when I go to shift it into low either it doesn't seem to want to catch at all or when it does the moment there is any sort of pressure on the the rig (i.e. crawling up somwthing) it seems to slip out and it will act as if its out of gear. Any thought or help would be amazingly appreciated! I'm still learning about all of this and this is my first time doing anything like this.

Here is some of the upgrades I have in my rig
