I went to quarter master today and realized when I got home that i didn’t get my class a pants what do I do ?

Is the uniform for orientation day on the 24th the light blue long sleeve, cover, dress pant and work boots or dress shoe?

I don’t know which shoe they said can someone please remind me?

My insurance company contacted me today and stated I have 3 accidents on my record. All 3 are on duty accidents in the last 6 years. I have been in 5 since being on the job however only 3 are showing on the dmv abstract. I’ve always filled out the mv104 and noted on the bottom fdny owned and operated. Is it possible my captain didn’t send the paperwork in and it’s now showing on my abstract for those 3 incidents? What’s can I do to remove these and fix this?

what what should we wear for quartermaster day? I know it says jeans, sneakers, and a crewneck shirt, but I just wanted to make sure that that’s what we should be wearing. and also what to expect.

As long as you have the time and documentation is there really any issue at all with banging out? Is there any way to get in trouble for banging out 1-2 times a month? Does it ever come up when doing the fire promo?

I just went through my admin/processing day, I’m about to get my uniform and my first day of class is August 25th. Just curious will they be drug testing me for weed anytime in the academy and after graduating when I get the job?

still waiting on a decision for a review and was wondering if i would still be able to make it for the august class?

I curious about the haz-tac training you get to become a haz tac emt like what is the training like? What should I know before starting? And more if you guys that experienced this please share and help.

I have my admin processing day tomorrow and I knew that from the phone call but I was waiting on the acceptance letter to come in my email or through the mail and I just looked at my junk mail today and I found the acceptance letter in my junk mail from 7/22 and it says that you need a US postal service money order for $9.00 and obviously post office’s are closed right now. Will they accept a money order that I got at Walmart?

received an email with my EMS class forms. It says:
“The following forms will be collected on your scheduled administrative processing day: Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9).”
It also says to bring the supporting documents from the I-9 acceptable-document list.
I have a mini medical, Quartermaster/uniform day, and orientation coming up. Does anyone know which day is considered the administrative processing day, and when I should bring my completed I-9 and supporting documents?
Just trying to make sure I don’t bring the paperwork to the wrong appointment. Thanks!

I’m gonna be in the August academy starting soon. I have black hair w/ blonde highlights in my bangs. I got the grooming standards form and said nothing about the color, just the length. Will it be acceptable?

Hey everyone, I applied for the EMS Trainee position last year and honestly wasn’t expecting the process to take this long 😅, but I’m finally almost done with everything and I’m projected to go into the academy in January 2027.

My question is about what happens after the academy. Once you graduate and get assigned, how difficult is it to get time off when you’re still new/probationary?

I’m getting married in August 2027 and we already booked the venue, so obviously that’s something I really can’t move around 😂. If I start the academy in January and graduate a few months later, would requesting time off for my wedding in August be realistic?

Has anyone gone through something similar or know how FDNY EMS usually handles something like this for someone who just got out of the academy? I’d appreciate any insight!
