AP Cybersecurity?

I know this is a new class but does anyone think it’ll be easy? I’m interested in STEM and I want to learn more while boosting my gpa for my senior year (I’m currently valedictorian but I have competition). Do you think it is a good idea to take it?

Can I take my FLVS class out of the country?

I spoke to my counselor today and she told me that I couldn’t take Precalc Honors over the summer because I’m leaving out of the country on Sunday for 2 months. I come back in July.

Is it true that they kick you out as soon as they see that you’re in a different country? Even if I’m consistent with submitting and have stable internet?

Accuplacer math

So I’ve taken the pert 3 times and I need a 123 but I keep failing and getting a low score. I’m not good at math but I don’t understand how I’m doing so bad on the pert. I can’t take it anymore so I was wondering if the accuplacer math was easy? I’ve done countless tests on the PERT and have got 30/30 on almost all if not 1 or 2 points off. When I do the test it’s just not the same. Someone please give me advice!!

i missed my US History EOC 😭😭😭

Today I couldn’t attend my US History EOC because I got sick and ended up waking up late. (I was supposed to be there by 7am T_T) I emailed them today asking for a chance to retake it and they said they couldn’t accommodate me. Isn’t this a graduation requirement? Has anyone else gone through this at some point? I’m getting a lot of anxiety and I don’t know what else I can do. 😔

FLVS Flex over the summer

Hi! I’m taking a course over the summer (French 1, just to get ahead of the language requirements) and I wanted to know how different it was than full time. I know I have to schedule the welcome call, but are live lessons required (or there at all) for flex courses? Any other big differences from FT?

CREDITS

So I’m currently in Public School still but next year I plan on joining FLVS, and I only have two credits remaining, and I was wondering if there’s a way I can just only do those two remaining classes that I have left to do and still get my high school diploma,

I’ve tried applying for Dual Enrollment but I didn’t pass the Accuplacer exam and I think it’s too late to register.

(The Classes that are left is
Economics and English 4)

Does anybody else feel like they are setting themselves up for failure by doing FLVS?

I feel like flvs is so much easier compared to in-person school that I sometimes wonder if im setting myself up for failure😭 We never really have to do projects or anything like in-person students do and I feel like i’m not learning all the skills i am supposed to be learning. I wonder if i’m gonna struggle in college and even in my future jobs because I just never learned these things. Are there any flvs graduates in here that were successful in college/jobs or did you guys struggle?

Should I Take Algebra 1 Honors Over The Summer

I got a perfect score on my 7th grade math FAST and am wondering if I should take Algebra 1 Honors over the summer, or if I should take peer counseling 1 and critical thinking and study skills over the summer. I am going to take personal finance and money management honors regardless.

Option 1

Personal Finance and Money Management Honors
Algebra 1 Honors

Option 2

Personal Finance and Money Management Honors
Peer Counseling 1
Critical Thinking and Study Skills

These will be the math courses I take for both options throughout high school

If I go with option 1

8th - Geometry Honors
9th - Algebra 2 Honors
10-12th - AP/DE

If I go with option 2

8th - Algebra 1 Honors
9th - Geometry Honors
10th - Algebra 2 Honors
11-12th - AP/DE

Does anyone have Estrada as their english 2 teacher?

I was wondering if anyone has Mrs. Estrada because she refuses to give 100s on writing assignments. Her feedback is always vague, and whenever I look at it, it’s always things I already included in the assignment. If I try to contact her about it, she just repeats the same feedback instead of helping me understand what I actually did wrong.

She recently flagged one of my assignments, and after I redid it, she gave me another 0, saying I submitted the same thing again and that she’s going to send a ticket to academic integrity if the third attempt gets flagged (btw, my Turnitin is a 48%). She also won’t let me call her to prove I didn’t use AI. On top of that, she never gives 100s on DBAs, even when everything is correct. It’s honestly getting really frustrating.
