First FN! Is it normal for the slide to hang up on the hammer?
See title: this is my first FN (FNX 45) and while messing with I've noticed that the slide gets a little hung up on the hammer when very slowly returning to battery? Is this normal?

It seems like my 545 has decided to develop a small crack at just 2000 rounds.
Made a post months ago about picking up another 10mm after letting the G20 go, this is way better than my G20 in so many ways

Long time lurker first time posting. Finally pulled the trigger and picked this bad boy up yesterday before shit hit the fan today in VA. Now the real question is, am I ever gonna be able to find any more 15 rd mags anywhere?
coming up on 2 years with the FNX with this set up and have absolutely no malfunctions or any issues!
Got my first FN last year (FNX-45T), and wanted to make it all FDE. Suppressor is Dead Air Mojave 45. May upgrade the optic to the Trijicon version in the future, but I like how it all came together for now.
(It was me. I was the someone.)
Also, needing a new piston for my Osprey because HK uses 16x1LH is annoying.
Excited to be a part of the community and excited to get to the range.
Taking suggestions on why this occurred when it did. Probably 2300 rds with this right screw backing out a handful of times in the past. I can only assume it worked its way “loose” and I didnt notice in time, shot x number of times and it finally gave out.
Had gone to remove the screws after my last range session (was going to put on orange threadlocker) and found this.
I switched from Holosun 507k to the new enclosed defender ccw about 1000 rds ago as well.
Was basically told this gun isn’t meant to pull heavy range duty to the extent I was shooting it and that with any optic I put on, this is liable to occur.
My only thought is buying a non optic ready slide and having the optic cut milled specifically for my optic. Reducing the front/back movement and relying less on the two screws and threadlocker.
Otherwise I’m ready to move to a pistol that has bosses from the factory. What say you?
What’s going on everyone. This is my first ever gun. I had such a great introductory to firearms with this one. I love how this one is better suited for open carry, duty, home defense ,and bedside gun. Such a beautiful work of art. Best decision was to start with a legendary gun.
Went to the store for a Glock 22 but left with this instead. For less than 400 clams. Very happy as this is in great condition and much better quality.
Picked this up on a whim, my first Fn in my arsenal. Upgraded the spring and guide rod also added a red dot - Zero Hawk MRS in FDE.
This red dot is by far the best under $200 optic I've found! Comes with aluminum optic plates, a matching silicon cover and a multi retical system.
The burst firing is a skill issue but everything works perfect. Was to my door in 4 days.
