My new beret designs just finished production and I could not be happier! The Lily of the Valley is so ethereal and cute!!

They just launched in my shop this morning!

I recently made this chain and bead hair ornament for my partner for the ren faire and have been looking for a reliable hair clip to put on the ends. Headbands give her migraines and her hair is fine enough that I worry run-of-the-mill barrettes might not stay up all day. I remember some hair clips we used in dance or theater as a kid that would not BUDGE but internet searches are making me question if I completely hallucinated them.

Any recommendations on hair clips that could keep this hair necklace up during a full day at the ren faire?

I've got a long way to go before this is finished, and the rest of my house has suffered as a result. But I will keep on. I'm going to paint a murial to replace canvas prints using scrap, plaster Paris and texture paint

I made this image to celebrate Sanziene, the Romanian version of the Midsummer or Summer Solstice. It takes place June 24th and to me it carries a very mystical meaning. This celebration is associated with love and fertility. On this night girls traditionally wear crowns made of yellow flowers (Galium verum). They also decorate the houses and gates with these plants, as they protect against the evil. On this magical night the gates of heaven open, allowing the two realms, of the living and of the dead, to communicate.

I’ve noticed there are a lot of other beaders and jewellers especially crystal/hippy/fairy core jewellery that also use string. I like using string but my only concern is that it is flimsy and could break easily whilst being out and about. I’m just wondering how other people that use string do this? What kind of string do you use? I’m using the 0.5mm waxed polyester cord, I buy that size because it’s the only string that fits through the holes in the beads, if I buy any bigger it won’t fit into the holes. I was wondering if anyone had any advice as I like using string to make jewellery and accessories too but this has been a problem for me since I started and I just want to find some strong string that fits through bead holes..

Getting back into fairy wings again, I was commed to make these for a friend HOWEVER I will be Vending the Autumn Knights Ren Faire this year and I’m bringing a couple different styles with me!
