Vanilla

So I recently lost Internet access for a couple weeks or so and decided to keep playing. Obviously FO4 does not allow the mods to work without internet, unlike Skyrim, so I said screw it and started playing vanilla.

I have to say, I don't see a difference. Sure, it still crashes in DT Boston, Financial District, and all the regular places. Thing is, mods never stopped that. And I used all the mods that were supposed to.

Plus, we still haven't received the promised 200gb space (how many months ago was that?) so what's the point?

I think I'll possibly use CC mods that don't affect achievements and see how I fare from lvl 1 and onward.

This is in no way a kick in the crotch to my favorite MAs. Y'all know how much I love you.

Anybody else going down the vanilla trail?

Settlement Optimal Mods

Hi all, hoping to get some suggestions for the optimal mod setup and order for my playstyle.

I had a pretty stable load order until i added Smore Mods. Menus were a mess, ended up with duplicate items in menus (some things i already had in the MSO menu) it just got messy.

I made the mistake of doing a bit of a cleanup and changing out Smore for Workshop Rearranged which was a big improvement for menu layout but then had issues with mutfruit being called razorgrain and my ground options got hectic.

Some items like whole menus of building supports are meh and just clutter it up.

Im pretty sure im going to have to scrap my settlements and start them again as ive pkayed through too much story and content to justify a new game.

Also if anyone knows how to clear their 'my library' on xbox creations please tell me. Ive tried via bethesda.net but doesnt update xbox.

Bigger mods coming to console…….I hope?

Since Bethesda just announced today when they’re officially releasing the 100gb mod-space update, I now have a couple questions. #1 Will people be bringing bigger mods from PC to console? #2 If the first question is true, then what mods that were only available for PC could come to console now? #3 What mods would YOU like to see come to console now that we’re getting more space on console? For me I hope that full-fledged terrain overhaul mods come to console. Could mods like Tale of Two Wastelands come to console or are they still too big?

What happened to the mod in W.I.P. for the AK family?

With the announcement of the update, I was eager to create my own apocalyptic tactical load order, and one of the mods I was most excited to use and see how it had evolved was Familia AK, a mod that took the AK platform and added many modifications and features.

But I just checked, and the mod is gone. Does anyone know what happened? Was it deleted because it was Tull AK without the author's permission? Or did the creator delete it for another reason?

How likely is the 100gb update to break the game?

Now that it is confirmed for the 27th I wanted to ask and see if the new update is likely to completely break the game like half the other updates bethesda makes? I'm really excited for more mod storage but not at the cost of the already bad game performance.

THE UPDATE IS FINALLY COMING NEXT WEEK!!! Pls help me (and others) with some great and large mods to roll up a new save.

Posting this so me and others can finally start a new run with large mods such as Sim Settlements, America Rising, TotC, and of course, weapon, apparel and overhauls that can be used with them without important conflicts.

For example, all these years i've been going for "lore accurate" collections such as Skibadaa Weapons Pack, Russian Assault Pack, Dak's Commonwealth Weaponry and ITO; as well as those amazing TumbaJamba armors and outfits, and want to achieve something stable considering these many additions to the LLs.

What are the Mods and Patches to keep (only Radiant I hope) Quests in the Commonwealth until I venture Beyond?

I’m firming up my Mod list but I’ve run into at least one problem. With the UOFO4 Patch, do I have to have certain mods active or just listed in load order list (If I understand correctly you can do that). It’s just that I don’t care for the two power armors (I’ve never liked the Enclave look), the Enclave Armor and Weapon Paint Jobs, the Enclave Remnants, the Halloween Workshop, or the Makeshift Weapon Pack. I could live with the two Enclave Skins / Paint Jobs and MAYBE the Makeshift Weapon Pack, but the rest is a hard no for me as far as being active. So: can I just put them in the load order but inactive, or do the two go hand in hand?

Edit: And never mind, a Google search I should have made first says I need everything active. I really don’t understand why those extra mods are required.

My load order keeps changing

I dont know what happened but it was all good until i opened my creations menu while in game, the game crashed, so i force quit, loaded back in, suddenly 6 of my mods were automatically disabled, i turned them back on and realized all my mods were scattered all over the place, none were in the right spot

so i went to load the save and pressed “saves load order” so it could go to the load order of the save

and it did just that, but now i have no clue if it is fixed or not since stuffs different in game now and anytime i go to the creations menu, its scattered no matter what

Are there any individual armor mods?

What I mean is this: are there mods that add individual pieces (leather, metal, combat, etc.) instead of just outfits? Every time I see a mod I like, like Tumbajamba's mods or any Modern Milsim armor mods, they're always outfits.

I want to be able to customize my character and what they wear and not be hunkered down by only wearing one outfit at a time. Yeah they say they're modular, but they're not. The modularity comes from their customization, not the fact that you can swap the under-armor or limbs with anything else.

So, are there? I only have a few, but those are the main ones I can actually find.

[Fo4][XB1 MOD] AriesThe_Ram: Ranger Power Armor

So, I understand this is *based* on the show version, season 2, episodes 7 and 8. But even if this was drawn primarily from concept drafts from the early stages, it was the New California Republic. And they have never struck me as barbaric, which is exactly how a Brahmin and Yao-Guai Skulls for pauldrons / the shoulders feel.

Honestly, this was a guaranteed pick up but now it’s more like 40%. I haven’t seen any updates since the release, and I understand your dismissal of fixing the hood or cloaks / whatever, due to the work not being worth it. But I do really hope you can give serious thought to transitioning the armor closer to the show version. Obviously adding animations and specific damage for cutting up Deathclaws could be a bit much, but I’m sure you get the general idea. Also curious if it’s possible to add a jet pack as seen in the show, but I’d call that less of a priority.

Hope this gets to you and thanks again if you’d seriously consider these requests. I do like the associated quest (I saw it on YouTube) and want to go down at a high level purely to attract a bunch of Deathclaws.

Vanilla Reanimation Project

I've been getting recommend this mod a lot recently and never really had any of my questions get answered, so I come here for help.

  1. Does this mod have right-handed animations for the hunting and handmade rifle?

  2. Does it work with Dak's combat and assault rifle redux mods?

I have more, but those are not really important so.

Fallout 4 settlements - More settler jobs

Thought it would be useful to share the below X-Box list for those of you who like settlement building. I love mods that add new settler jobs and always thought there were too few jobs available in vanilla. Here is my list of tried and tested mods that add additional jobs and have been stable for me. I've not included Sim Settlements in this.

Let me know if you can think of others.

* Salvage Beacons by Kinggath - Settler man's a radio station allowing items to be collected from any container and brought back to your settlement

* Better Stores by blazeda59 - Adds butchers (like Diamond City) who provide 10 food

* Fast Travel Cars by CodyTheRat - adds a driver who mans a vehicle, allowing you to fast travel to other settlements

* Northland Diggers Resources Animals by St0vie - Adds a huge amount of jobs, similar to scavenging stations which provide specific resources such as tax collectors, mail sorting, aluminium scavs, wood scavs, circuitry scavs

* Gone Hunting/Fishing by Seraph1122 - Adds new food sources such as fishing traps and hunting stations

* Settlement Repair Bot and Settlement Police Bot by Athelbras - Adds protectrons to your settlement. The first automatically repairs damaged items and the second acts as a guard and increases defence

Hangman's Alley mods

- It doesn't need to remove anything from the settlement.

- It doesn't need to add anything to the settlement.

- It does need to not break precombines.

- It does need to increase the build area.

The order of the third eye missing

So I've been trying to find this mod for a good but. On release it crashed every time I try to load into the fist cell of it. So i figured give the devs some time to patch it. Now I try to find it snd its just gone. Anyone have anything on why?

Backpacks of the Commonwealth. Must have or is it 78.59 MB of bloat?

Title. The mod seems thrilling on paper when it comes to the upgrades locked behind perks and seems like it would be another gameplay mechanic not just an immersive cheat. The backpack variety seems “neat” and the rare backpacks would be a nice dopamine hit when found. But how does it stack up against other backpack mods? Does the features of Backpacks of the commonwealth justify its almost 80 MB price tag?

If not then what is your favorite backpack alternative?

Moribund World Godrays Fix?

I'm having trouble getting rid of these really ugly godrays that appear when using moribund world. They pop up whenever the sun goes behind something larger like a building or mountain. I've tried all the basic sunlight fixes aswell as several disable godrays mods but nothing works.
