Do you think this would ever be a feasible possibility? I’m thinking Ms. Goldberg/Charlotte and Sweetheart/Cordelia could be doubled, maybe some changes to In Trousers and MotF for cohesion if necessary.
I’ve been listening to the album a little and i’ve never watched falsettos or anything, but I liked the songs of In Trousers and I was interested in watching it live but I can’t find a performance of the 1979 version. I see photos of the actors singing on stage and stuff but I can’t find anything and I wanna ask if it even exists LMFAO. If it does exist and ya’ll have a recording send it pls 🥹

i’m trying to make the 2016 cast in tomodachi life: living the dream and i’ve started with jason… however, i don’t think he looks too accurate and i was hoping someone could give some tips so he looks more like himself 😭
How do you guys feel about the fandom?
As someone who has been a fan for 7 years and has seen this fandom in so many states across different social media platforms, I have so many mixed feelings that I wonder if people share that.
I love how the fandom encourages creativity, have serious discussion about the source material, and support those who want to listen to the musical in different formats. This has always been a strong point - it exemplifies the community feel this fandom has.
On the other hand, I've always been concerned for how some fans may approach the musical. I'm not specifically talking about age here, as I was thirteen/fourteen when I first listened to this musical. But how some people regard the material. For example, jokes about AIDS in this fandom can be seen as insensitive, the mischaracterisation of the collective characters is something I've seen every once in a while, and this can cause discourse within the community.
This isn't to create discourse but rather discuss the good and bad parts of this fandom and how, collectively, people in this subreddit have experienced the fandom. I love this musical and the community it has gathered over the years, it's my favourite fandom I have ever been a part of. I just want to know how people see it.
Omg. So for context I’m black and I looooooove this show and whenever I listen to “The thrill of first love” instead of saying “so I’ll cheat, whizzer, and I’ll shove” I always say “I’ll cheat, N*gga and I’ll shove”
It kills me every time because I actively try NOT to say it but it still comes out
So I showed falsettos to my family and my sister did not like it and slept through most of it but now she's telling me he's so cute and she has a crush on him (she's 12 so it's fine) but still, any time I mention falsettos she says "Jason..." Like??? It's so funny.
I work at a theater company and as a fun thing to do with our down time, we have a whiteboard that we write a question or two on.
The first question was “Song of the Summer” which only has about 3 answers.
The second was “What should the musical be next year.” And the first answer that was put there was Falsettos. (Mostly because I was talking about it for days and everyone that works here has massive respect for the show and want to see a production of it)
It’s gotten about 6 +1s which is like all our box office staff and half our front of house staff. So we’re hoping to get the artistic director to see it and hopefully it’ll put some pressure on doing the show next summer.
But I have the list here. What do the Falsettos fans think the secondary show should be (if budget were not involved) 😂
