The Band & Eric Clapton (feat. Bob Dylan) - Northern Lights-Southern Cross (1976) [LP]

The Band & Eric Clapton (feat. Bob Dylan) - Northern Lights-Southern Cross (1976) [LP]

Knowing Clapton wanted to join The Band ever since they released their first album, I thought it would be cool to combine Eric's 1975-1976 albums (There's One In Every Crowd and No Reason To Cry) with The Band's 1975 album which I used as my album's title. This project would be out in 1976, with The Band putting out an EP in 1975, which will be posted here leater.

I came up with this tracklist:

Side A (23:03):

• Ring Your Bell

• Last Night

• Ophelia

• Better Make It Through Today

• It Makes No Difference

Side B (23:14):

• Hello Old Friend

• Jupiter Hollow

• All Our Past Times

• Sign Language (feat. Bob Dylan)

• Acadian Driftwood

Total Length (46:17)

The Who - Who's For Tennis? (1968) [Double LP]

Apparently, there were plans by the band to put out an album in '68 under that title, in Between The Who Sell Out (1967) and Tommy (1969). Using singles from prior years, outtakes and more, I came up with this:

Side A (16:34)

• Call Me Lightning

• Jaguar

• Man With Money

• Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Side B (18:27)

• Early Morning Cold Taxi

• Fortune Teller (2018 Mix) (couldn't find the original)

• Girl's Eyes

• In The Hall Of The Mountain King

• Doctor, Doctor

• Under My Thumb

Side C (17:00)

• Dogs

• Glittering Girl

• Melancholia (2018 Mix)

• Little Billy

• Pictures Of Lily

• Glow Girl (Incl. Track Records Commercial)

Side D (16:04)

• Summertime Blues

• Faith In Something Bigger

• Shakin' All Over (Take 3)

• Kids! Do You Want Kids (Pete Townshend Demo)

• Someone's Coming

• Magic Bus (Long Version/Mono)

Total Length (1:08:05)

The Beatles - Love Songs II

A successor to the Beatles' 1977 compilation Love Songs. That album was - you guessed it - a compilation of love songs the Beatles recorded throughout their career, shared across two discs. This fan album serves as a compilation of love songs the former Beatles recorded as solo artists, spanning 1970-1980.

With each member releasing albums throughout the decade there will obviously be tracks that didn't make the cut on this double-LP. That being said, I aimed to include some of the obvious picks ("Silly Love Songs", "What Is Life", "Maybe I'm Amazed", etc.) alongside a few personal favourites.

The cover art is my own. I tried to recreate the artwork for the original Love Songs album as faithfully as possible, using images of the band members from the 1970-1980 period instead of the 1967 shots on the original cover.

  5. Every Night [Paul McCartney - McCartney]
  6. If Not For You [George Harrison - All Things Must Pass]
