I remember reading a fanfiction years ago featuring an Indipendent Harry and Dumbledore bashing. During the stort Harry gains the help of Draco and Severus Snape to deal with Voldemort and Dumbledore.

I remember near the end that Dumbledore had seemingly captured Harry and was planning on doing something terrible. What Dumbledore doesn’t realise was that this entire confrontation was being magically broadcasted to the British witches and wizards in Diagon Alley who were shocked, horrified and enraged hearing what Dumbledore had planned and had done. Later the Aurors managed to capture Dumbledore and it is revealed that the Harry Potter who was captured was in fact Severus Snape who was using A Polyjuice potion to impersonate Harry. Severus gleefully then revealed to Dumbledore that his arm was bare and that the Death Eater Dark Mark that had been on his arm had disappeared fully much to Dumbledore’s shock and amazement. Dumbledore demanded to know who killed Voldemort and how as he is being dragged away but Severus refused to answer and left. Later there is a scene where Dumbledore is literally torn apart by an angry mob who had listened to the entire talk right upto the arrest. Meanwhile Harry Potter, Draco, etc are free and safe.

I would like to know who was the author and the name of the story. Also if there are any similar stories please let me know.

I’m currently in the process of writing a fanfiction and my main plan is to post it on AO3, but I was considering to post it also on Wattpad and Tumblr. But I wasn’t sure if it against some kind of code, since I mentioned it to a friend of mine and they said that “it would look bad”, Is this true? Just curious.

Alright, I need Reddit advice. There is a girl who has emailed me on gmail claiming that I had requested commission artwork from a story I wrote on Fanfiction.net. she claims this was a year ago and she lost that account and she only had some of the details and went based on what she supposedly had and my story. I dont recall ever asking for this and know that there were no formal arrangements or deposits made. I told her I did not want any artwork because I cannot afford it. She proceeds to send me the artwork against my wishes and is now threatening me with legal action if I do not pay her $4200 for this art. I have asked from proof from her in screenshots of our supposed deal but she cannot because those messages are no longer available. She also says it is not her responsibility to reach out to me after such a big time gap. I have tried telling her all this and blocking her but Im worried she is gonna hit me with a lawsuit. Any advice? Please and thank you!

EDIT 05/20/26: well, I have an update. I blocked the person who was sending me these and she proceeded to use a backup Gmail to reach out to me. today I got an email from an "attorney". However it feels fishy because there was no law firm, office, case ID, or number, and no official letterhead. The email is a generic gmail email. It basically has told me they are reaching out on behalf of This chick (his client) and says I need to cooperate otherwise his client will have to pursue legal action. Is this another attempt to scam me out of money?? HELP!

FFN is just being awful right now. My story is missing two whole chapters for the last week and my followers aren’t seeing the updates.

Decided go migrate to AO3 but I have no idea how to tag my story approximately to maximize the places it’s seen.

Any advice?

Chapters 27 and 28 are not appearing in the directory despite being correctly uploaded, or when they do appear and an attempt is made to access them, an "error" message appears indicating that support should be contacted. A reader who is also a friend tried to access them directly from my profile and was able to read the chapter, but when she went to leave a review, the error reappeared.

We keep getting the error type 1, refering to new chapters that have been just posted. However, they were posted more than 48 hours ago. Anyone know what to do?

Hey, does anyone know if there's a way to delete reviews from "accounts"? Trying to clear my reviews of scam/spam reviews and tried everything, including moderate reviews, but that only works with guests, not accounts. I try deleting them in the app, but even though I click confirm, they don't actually delete

This is what I saw from another Reddit post a while back that said there were people who were beta testing a new version of the site that isn’t finished.

Every time I try to upload a new chapter, I'm hit with an error message telling me that it's incompatible; despite the fact I'm trying to upload a Copy and Paste text rather than a document. If I make enough attempts, it eventually accepts the upload, but it's taking more and more attempts to be accepted.

Anyone else have this problem?

There really is nothing to commend this site anymore.

For context last time I wanted to go on fanfiction.net was around a year ago, and it was loading just fine. I tried again a few days ago it to try to find fics of a pairing I got into that was way more popular during the haydays of ffnet than now, and it's been 2-3 days now of unsuccessfully trying to load the website, getting a timeout error every time.

I've seen other people post screenshots of the website so I wondered if there was any workaround to this or if I'm just particularly unlucky (in case it's relevant, I'm from France)
