My first PCS to Bragg next week and I’m looking for how to to go about furnishing my apartment. For reference I stay in single officer housing (Randolph pointe) on fort Bragg. Are they’re any good furniture stores in the area? I’m just in the market for a bed, couch, and kitchen supplies. Also how would I go about moving this stuff? My family situation at home is frustrating so I’m doing this all alone. Should I rent a U-Haul and just wing it or should I ask for help?

I own properties and live in a neighborhood that used to have quite a bad reputation.

I am a young 20s White woman and i drive a 45k car. Never once have i felt unsafe in this neighborhood and i have left my car unlocked with cash in my cup holder overnight on many occasions……

Anywho, I have a unit open but when I advertise it I always get comments like “That’s in the hood!”… Yet my neighbors all have kids and the most sketchy thing about the neighborhood is two houses that were damaged in a flood (both just bought by sombody who is redoing them)

Anyways, I am looking for ways to change the narrative about this neighborhood, and also get a good renter in! I care about my homes and i want the renter to care too and feel like they can reach out to me. Anybody have thoughts or done it in their own neighborhood????

I am taking a travel contract in the area this summer. Can someone tell me if pine street near Eureka springs is a safe place to stay? I was originally going to stay on Fleetwood Dr and was advised to look elsewhere.

Need help rehoming two cats ASAP. Ones a white and gray shorthair and the other is an orange tabby. Both spayed and strictly indoor cats. Both do not like dogs which is why the rehoming is needed due to having a service animal. The cats are also both males. Our family is moving very soon so any help rehoming them will be greatly appreciated.

I know there was just a day that a company was giving out free vaccines and I missed it. Is there another event like that at all?

If not is there a place that does them free/cheap?

Where are the best spots for laying out and tanning all day where I won’t look like an absolute loser? Any lakes or beaches nearby where people regularly lay out?? I can’t keep driving all the way to wrightsville to tan 😢

me and my husband are about to PCS and he has a bayonet that’s been in his family for quite some time but we can’t take it with us in its current state. does anyone know of a place that can remove the bayonet and the firing pin so that it’s no longer considered a weapon. thank you in advance 🙂

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows any places that collect and sell sports cards. I know a lot of places obviously sell packs and boxes but I’m talking about just singular cards like collectors. I know alot of places do that with pokemon around here so if anyone knows please help. Thank you!!!

With the Bahama Breeze at Cross Mall converted to another Darden brand, I think Yard House would be an awesome fit for Fayetteville.

Any horror fans out there just saying that you should go see obsession. It’s good at both jump scare horror, and making you feel uncomfortable type horror. Highly recommended can even be a date night movie if both you are comfortable with that.

Any 20 year old girl friendly places that have open music, comedy and or poetry?

And any places to meet and make new friends? Preferably fellow 20-30 y/o ladies?

Does anyone know churches in the area that has a good children's ministry and a non-misogynistic pastor/preacher? I dont care what denomination. I just need a new church home where folks don't make fun of people's appearances, financial situation, gossip, or comment on women's weight or "lack of value" if they choose not to have children or stay at home for their husbands. Preferably one open to people of all walks of life, color, gender, and age.

I know, love, it's not easy, and many times it feels like things are stacked against you but please keep striving! I was once like you, my bf and I had no food assistance and lived on cream of chicken soup, noodles, and four chicken quarters for FOUR MONTHS but we made it thru eventually.
