Buy: Fiat Tipo MultiJet 130 SCR station wagon/Kombi?

Hi everybody!

I’ve got my eye on a Fiat Tipo MultiJet 130 SCR Austria Edition station wagon (2024) as a new family car and I currently drive a Bravo 1,9 that’s almost 20 years old.

Do I want this car? Are there any big downsides? Is it prone to problems? What do I absolutely need to know before buying it?

For me, this car is a purely practical choice. It costs under €20,000, is a Diesel and has only 15,000 km on it.

I'd appreciate any helpful suggestions. Thanks!

Fiat Palio ELX 1.0 2000

I've loved this car since I was a little boy. Even though its construction was simple, it was a cheap and reliable car. It's very rare to find a complete example of it nowadays. My father had one, but unfortunately it wasn't very well cared for

My Bravo

Some pictures are before i installed dragon eyes headlights, i'm very proud of that install. After 4 and a half months of owning it, i cant stop bragging about how good it feels to drive this masterpiece.

People keep asking me "why didnt you just get a Golf?" to which i always answer, "i want to drive something unique that you dont see evereyday on the road". This is one of my dream cars and i'm very happy to own it at 19.

It is a 2009 1.6 MultiJet 90hp 290Nm version (surprisingly lively) and its just chefs kiss. The only bad thing about it is really bad cupholders and the armrest that isnt too adjustable.

I find that it is much more fun than a Golf, prettier than any car in its class and just outstanding.

Our daughter’s farewell to her beloved first car.

RIP to the Italian Stallion. August 17, 2020 - May 18, 2026. The perfect compact SUV for a teenage girls first car. Such a reliable car… until she wasn’t. The Italian Stallion somehow lived to see 100,324 miles despite the number of repairs made to her. She had many surgeries, some major, some minor, some where she came out with worse problems than before. Ranging from the broken driver side visor, the backup camera that had been broken since October of 2020, all of the light panels needing replaced, all four tires being replaced (twice), the driver side door handle that broke off in the great winter storm of ‘24, her complete engine replacement that resulted in faulty wiring, constant electrical failures and the entire vehicle shutting off while still going 70mph on I-75 at 2am. Dont even get me started on the leaks or the shock absorbers that absorbed nothing but money. If anyone was wondering what FIAT stands for, it’s “Fixing It Again Tomorrow” or “Filling It up Again Tomorrow” as she did not get good gas mileage and constantly had leaky tires. To the car I made my entire personality and got a tattoo of, thank you for getting me through all 4 years of undergrad, never blowing out the speakers even when I cranked the sound all the way up, and for not literally just falling apart on the highway after the many many trips made going north and south on I-75. May she rest in pieces because she is no good for anything but parts now. 🚗

500 Pop Rear seat back stuck

I’ve searched and can’t find any other solutions to the exact problem I’m having.

I own a 2015 500 Pop. I frequently fold down the back seats to have room to haul things. Not sure about other models, but this one has a single bench seat across, but the seat backs are separate from the bench and move independently of each other. The driver side seat back in the backseat is stuck in the up position.

The seatbelt was stuck right around the bracket and latch between the seat and wall, but once I got that released, it did not resolve the issue. I removed the bolts to take the back out, but it is still stuck at the bracket, so that was a no-go.

Photos of the non-broken seat to show where it’s stuck.

Other than taking a sledge hammer to it 😭, how else can I get to the latch to release it? I’m fine with deleting the seat back. I just need it out of the way.

Fiat Bravo rough Start and Idle

Hello. So my 2012 Fiat Bravo 1.4 T-Jet struggles to start on cold mornings sometimes, especially once fuel is low. It cranks longer than normal and idles rough for a few seconds after starting, but then settles and drives completely normal. No warning lights either.

I’m not really an expert when it comes to diagnosing engine problems so I’m just looking for advice on what this could be.

Fiat Tipo (1.6MJTD) , how reliable?

Hi guys,

I’m seriously considering buying a Fiat Tipo Hatchback 1.6 Multijet 120hp this one, and I wanted to get some feedback from people who actually own or owned one.

How reliable is the 1.6 MJTD engine overall?

I’m looking for something reliable and comfortable without ending up stuck in an endless money pit financially.

BIG THANKS

Help with Fiat Connected Sevices

I recently got a Fiat Grande Panda electric and it came with a trial for Fiat Connected Services. I think I set it up correctly using the link they sent me and I can see my car in the app but it “unable to locate vehicle” and doesn’t show me its charge or let me control the climate. Is there something I’m missing. I thought maybe there’d be a setting in the infotainment system for sharing data but I can’t seem to find it.

Thanks

A Fiat quer me engabelar?

Acontece que me devolveram o carro alinhado, ok!

advice on pricing!

I just request opinions on trade-in value or straight up marketplace value for a 2012 Fiat 500 Pop 5-speed!
don’t judge, got her in my teens & she’s lasted me a good 6 years!

-127,300 miles
-Driver’s side window works, just needs new weather stripping
-Minor exterior damage
-Gucci Fiat wheels from their collaboration (lol)
-Check engine light on for O2 sensors
-TPMS inactive since getting new tires
-Left axle & both front struts replaced less than a year ago
-Specialty premium Rosso seats
- Decent crack in the windshield, and passenger side rear view mirror
-Airbag light on dash, I think it’s the wires, checking today
-Interior is in perfect shape, besides the decorative pins… the patch can be taken off without issue, CD player only sometimes reads a CD though
- Technically 3 owners on record, first owner only put 300 miles on it, he got it for his daughter who didn’t want to drive manual transmission
- No accidents on record, obviously if you see the taillight crack, it’s been backed into
-Minor sun damage on the top panel

EDIT: Yes I will be cleaning her up, yes obviously the items and decor in the car will not be there when I sell it.

Oil separator leak?

Hi, a few months back I noticed my car would lose power when reaching 2800rpm, almost like I was pressing the brakes, and I had to change gears earlier than normal to continue accelerating. It has good days and bad days and I am starting to think it is a problem with either a vacuum leak or the oil separator. Having taken a look at the engine it seems like the oil separator, anyone have advice? Is it the O ring?

Cinquecento Trim-Line?

Hi, guys. I got this Fiat Cinquecento recently. As you can see in the pic, it's a light green colour and it has decals on the side that say "Trim Line". I can't find anything about it online. Does anyone know anything about it?

Fiat Grande Punto 2013 Apple CarPlay

Hi. Please can anyone help. My mates daughter is hell bent on getting CarPlay in her Punto. It’s a UK 2013 model I believe, however I’m struggling to find a simple plug and play option for this model. I’ve attached a picture of the centre console if it helps.
