2017 Fiat 500E.

The car started warning me about battery health. I ordered a replacement and replaced it myself.

Now the car is showing an EV system warning icon (car icon with exclamation mark) on the instrument panel and refuses to start.

I don't have a code reader that supports the 500E, so I don't know what exactly the car is unhappy about, but it seems rather likely that it doesn't like the new battery. And the car owner's manual doesn't have a section on how to replace the service battery.

Can I reset whatever is making the car unhappy with the right code reader? Reading the Internet and this forum indicates it may be something called IBS, Intelligent Battery Sensor.

Hello everyone. I am new to this community and expect to buy a used 500e for my son’s college use soon, as he enjoys electric vehicles. Could anyone suggest the most reliable year?

I have a 2017 and had my key stolen along with my bag, and I need to reset my key fob. Does anyone know someone in SoCal they can recommend?

UPDATE: I got a great locksmith here in LA: LA Donin Locksmith - It's a mobile one man show.
Borris, the owner, was able to do the 500e's Immobilizer System Programming, EEPROM, etc. Reset the code and added the existing and the new key. Works like a champ now and I don't have to worry about it being stolen. I highly recommend for anyone needing this service.
