Why posting it here?

Cuz the story/script has been written by the same guy who has also acted, directed, edited and everything in between- in this short film! (one man army lol)

Background- This guy is a proper cinephile (a close friend of mine), grew up watching movies alone in the theatres, saving money to buy tickets, sneaking and bunking classes to watch his favourite films. He taught himself everything about cinematography and filmmaking from scratch- in short a very passionate and hardworking individual.

- he has worked previously in various metropolitan cities, now trying to make something of his own!

Motive to post it here-

I'm not just seeking engagement on his channel, but also genuine reviews and comments, criticism and constructive criticism alike.

[Pitch] Feature-Length AI Horror Film "The Forest" – Completed Script, Looking for Seed Funding / Executive Producers

I am a solo filmmaker who just completed a 100% finished, feature-length script for a psychological horror film called "The Forest". While it starts with a classic, high-demand genre setup, the script builds up to a massive, mind-bending plot twist at the end that subverts all expectations.

80s style horror short

Hello, all ! I am an indie creator that aims to make films with an analog feel to them , as well as an 80s horror vibe . Here’s my most recent one I did shot on an old Sony sr40 . Would mean everything to me if you checked it out and let me know how I did . I know the audio gets a bit distorted toward the end , apologize for that in advance .

I want to know if I did well in building an atmosphere. How did the film make you feel? Was it scary? Or at the very most , creepy ? Let me know!

looking to collab with as many filmmakers as i can on a one-shot project.

For a film I'm making I'm looking to get as many silhouette vignette shots as I can get, that look like the ones above. They're supposed to be little looks into peoples lives, and the only criteria is just the silhouette shot of a window. I made a diagram on how to shoot it above too. Would love to collab with some filmmakers on this, they should be super easy fun shots that you can get creative with! will definitely credit you in the film. Thanks

filming a car scene

hi, I’m making an independent short on a thight budget. Almost one third of the film happened inside one car. i looked into two options for filming car scene.

the low budget way to shoot is to shoot the scenes inside a garage and use green screen and practical effects. However, i dont have access to a garage. I am thinking about renting a car hauling trailer from u haul and mounting the camera on the car and drive around an empty streets to film the car scenes.
has anyone shot like this before? any advice?

if anyone know s better way to shoot i’d love to hear

Music for a short?

Im not sure if this is the place to post this, so forgive me if there is somewhere better for me to ask.

I am a student filmmaker and I am editing a short right now. The short has a long house party scene which includes dialogue and also a montage. Does anyone have any idea where I can find good copyright free music for this type of thing that isn't too corporate or corny? I would really appreciate any advice I can get. :)

Acting opportunity/Casting call (ALL genders and ages are welcome)

This summer sometime (the exact date will be communicated) between July and September a shoot for a short  movie will be happening in Thessaloniki in Greece. It will be a student based project so no funding but it is a good way for anyone to gain experience and add it to their resume.

To participate fill in the form below. I know I could have done it through a website like enCast but a subscription is needed and we want to give the best chance to every one to apply even if they don't want or can't afford to subscribe to a casting website. It will be fully in English. To apply all you need are a photo of yourself. no need to be professionally taken, or full body, just a plain photo (good lighting is advised), then you'll need a video of you introducing yourself (so name, age, where you are based in and where you are from) that's it! Again no need to be professionally taken or full body just a plain video of you saying that. Lastly a self-tape, it is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL and NOT submitting it WILL NOT count against you (I promise :)). Last a way to contact you preferably email and phone, WhatsApp will also work. Instagram handle is also optional but will help to create a community with everyone working on set so if you have one and are willing to share it will be greatly appreciated. The name of the movie and script i am not allowed to share yet but I can say it will be a teen drama, however that's all I can share so far, sorry! The video of you introducing yourself is simply a means of getting a basic understanding of you and your English level.

Not being able to speak perfect English will NOT disqualify you. Do not worry!! The film will mainly be on YouTube but the chance to play in theatres in Greece is still open. It will also likely play in theatres outside of Greece as well. This form is mainly for acting jobs BUT you can also apply for another job (like director, editor, makeup etc) as well. Just select the "Other" option and list your preferred job. All and i mean ALL of your self tapes will be evaluated. If you don't know how to pick a monologue don't worry, you are not the only one. Simply go to the "Daily Actor" website and pick a monologue that you feel expresses YOU.

The inability to perform a perfect monologue will for sure NOT disqualify you. We are students, we are not perfect, so you also don't have to be!! If you have any questions you can message me or leave them below. If you are interested please apply! You miss all the shots you don't take as they say. We definitely don't judge because you are most likely better than all of us (me roasting my team - sorry guys love u).
