Need help writing my story

Hey everyone! I'm working on an original sci-fi superhero series called The Void, and I'm looking for a co-writer to help bring it to life.

The premise: A corporation's enhancement chip program accidentally tears open a breach to another timeline — and creatures start crossing over. Now a fractured strike force is the last line of defense between humanity and total collapse, led by a man who doesn't realize he's spent his entire existence trying to stop the very destruction he caused.

It's got a Stranger Things meets The Boys tone — grounded characters, heavy themes, and a slow-burn mythology that ties back to a covert 1996 incident nobody was supposed to survive. The whole season builds toward a finale that completely recontextualizes everything you thought you knew about the lead character.

Moviemaking dream

I have a genuine will to make movies ,films, animations from the childhood but being born in a third world country and not belonging to a dirty rich family have really brought the fire down . I wanna make something extraordinary not just the recent bollywood or hollywood slop ( a hero comes gets a baddie kills the main villan with power of friendship or other shit ) . I wanna make something like obsession, kane pixels backrooms. I wanna make great live action, not disasters like that one dragon ball live action that literally made akira toriyama continue the series 🙏🏻

I know that it's almost impossible for me cause needless to say the level of corruption in both major industries ( hollywood and bollywood) but I have a trust in the audience, movies like obsession proved it to everyone.

I am currently only a teenager and I wanna give it a shot after completing my studies.

If you have any thoughts or advice on it please share

[Hobby] Beginner Composer looking for something to do

Hey all,

I'm a young composer living in Australia who is somewhat interested in music composition. I'm nowhere near excellent at this, but I find it fun an interesting.

So, uh, I want to open up to the creative community out there, and see if anyone needs someone to write a track for them or something, for free. After all, I'm just doing this for a bit of fun.

I'm currently a little bit busy but my schedule should be cleared up for a while in the coming weeks.

Uh, and I'm completely open to criticism. I'm particularly inspired by more film scores, like those made by Hans Zimmer or Joe Hisashi but video game music, especially Nintendo tracks, interest me as well.

Anyway, I'd be really excited to work with y'all for most types of projects. If you want, some things I've composed are on my youtube channel, which is https://youtube.com/@cosmicgriffin_?si=sMmXnV8qtYU0sM7o

But yeah, not a big portfolio or anything.

Thanks for reading, and I'll try to respond somewhat quickly (I might respond faster on discord, cosmicgriffin_ is my user).

:D

SHORTFILM HELP NEEDED!

I'm planning to make a no-budget short film this summer, but I'm still trying to figure out the best way to tell the story.

The basic premise is that the main character wakes up to find that everyone is gone. The world isn't destroyed, but it seems like people left because of something that is going to happen. He's left behind and tries to figure out what happened and why.

Since I'll mostly be filming by myself, I'm considering three different storytelling styles:

  1. Hybrid style (70% cinematic, 30% video diary)

Most of the film would be cinematic shots of the character exploring the empty world. Every now and then there would be video diary segments where he records his thoughts and what he's discovering.

  1. Found footage

The entire film is shot from the character's perspective or through a camera he's carrying. This would make the audience feel closer to him, but I'd lose a lot of the cinematic visuals.

  1. Final message / broadcast style

The film is presented as a message left behind for anyone who might still be out there. It would mainly consist of cinematic shots while a voice-over plays. The tone would be something like:

"When you hear this, I won't be here anymore..."

Which of these approaches sounds the most interesting to you, and why?

I'm especially interested in hearing which one you think would work best for a mysterious, slightly creepy atmosphere while still being achievable on a very small budget.

The Lost Weekend | Coming-of-Age Short Film Set in Early 2000s

Would love to hear your thoughts on our coming-of-age short film, "The Lost Weekend," set in the early 2000s. We really tried to capture what it felt like to be a teenager in 2004 through the music, clothes, and the kind of world we grew up in before smartphones and social media took over. Hope it brings back some memories, and we’d love to hear what feels authentic or nostalgic to you.

In the Summer of 2004, James and his friends embark on a weekend trip to Cape Cod to prove their manhood. As he confronts expectations about masculinity - and what they really mean, he faces a decision that will shape the "man" he'll become.
