Today i spent a few hours swapping out my 30 Gal for a 55 gal tank. Here are some photos of the process.

Is there anything wrong in my fish tank by looking at it?

I have seen this vibrant green bacteria or algae growth in my tank this past year, i attributed it to a stronger light source as that’s when it started getting out of control. Any idea what type algae / bacteria this is and how to get rid of?

I removed most of the affected plants and roots but it seems to be growing back. Any advice welcomed.

Hoping someone here knows how to deal with this.

I had an extended business trip (7wks) and my fish care taker didn’t do so well caring for the tank. Fish survived but ever since I cannot seem to eradicate this purple algae? growth?

I’ve scrubbed the rocks, let them sit in sun for a couple weeks, bought a new log, got rid of my plants, vacuumed substrate, changed water multiple times, disassembled and scrubbed pump and filters…this stuff keeps growing back. This is 2 weeks post last scrub.
