Is my new tank fucked?

Just got home and set up this brand new 125 gallon. Noticed this gap between the bottom rim and the glass. Am I okay or was all this work for nothing and do I gotta return it?

Is my betas tank TOO cluttered?

Just wondering if I should remove some plants or if this is a good amount of clutter?

20M - Toronto Any aquarium hobbyists looking to make friends?

Hey, I’m 20M from Toronto and I’m wondering if there are any other aquarium hobbyists in the GTA who’d be down to connect and become friends.
I’m pretty deep into the hobby and keep both freshwater and saltwater tanks. I have quite a few setups with fish, corals, anemones, plants and other livestock, so aquariums are a pretty big hobby of mine.

It would be cool to meet people who are also into fishkeeping, reef tanks, planted tanks, aquascaping, breeding fish, checking out local fish stores, aquarium shows, or trading livestock, plants, and coral.

I’m also down to hang out outside of the hobby too, grab food, go fishing, explore Toronto, go to Ripley’s, or check out fish stores.

Beginner or experienced doesn’t matter. If you keep a tank or are interested in getting into the hobby, feel free to comment or DM me.

Need shrimp info

Why do people like keeping shrimp? No insult to the little beasties, I’ve just never had them. Educate me!

Is My Tank Good?

Is this tank good for my boy? Any plants/ hides I should add? So far he has been very active, curious, and I hopefully can say happy! But I want the best for him. I want him to have the dream fish life.

I also have never seen him sleep yet? I know bettas sleep sideways but I have never seen my baby sleep. Should I check at a certain time to make sure he does get good amount of it? Or should I get like a better resting place for him??

Rate My Aquarium

I have a 10 gallon aquarium that houses four black racer snails, three African dwarf frogs and a betta. Water is kept at 78° F. What else would anyone recommend?

Lid or no

Hi is it better to have this type of light or lid?

I heard that this one is better for plants and water but im little worried that future betta will jump out (my first one didnt wanted but I had lid).

What do you think? Thank you for opinions:)

Ghost shrimp

Because my aquarium is on a natural light cycle I rarely see my ghost shrimp or Nerite snails. I haven't seen either in a few weeks. But today I have my largest and probably oldest sitting in the corner in the open. Thoughts?preparing for a molt? I'd estimate it's age at about 6 months old. It's legs are moving but it's just chilling.
