No Patreon for 1 month???

Due to scheduling issues, Patreon is being paused for 1 month. Can’t lie it sucks.

What podcast are you guys gonna listen to as a fill in this month?

Flagrant and Brilliant Idiots are my 2 locks, but I need a new pod to fill in for 1 month.

Aziz vs Akaash

Is it far fetched to think there was something serendipitous (or planned) in Aziz Ansari’s making a bit of a comeback right as Akaash is being faded out from many people’s consciousness?

I can think of two or three great Indian American comics that have been very entertaining and successful - but do we think Akaash’s fade out suggests that, in someone’s mind, there is only room for a small handful at a time and that Aziz’s return will pacify people who have looked to Akaash to represent them while Aziz has been tied up over the last few decades?

Truly curious about varying opinions, here - and genuinely intrigued by the timing of Aziz stepping back into the spotlight.

The Andrew Schulz show featuring everyone else

I've been thinking about it and the more I look back at the older episodes, the more I realize I wasn't watching because of one person. I was watching because the chemistry between everyone made the show work. It felt like a group of friends who all brought something different to the table. Fast forward to now and it feels like a completely different podcast. The conversations aren't hitting anymore and the group dynamic that made me a fan in the first place just isn't there. Seeing people like Akaash, Alexx, Gagnon and others move on didn't really surprise me. I have no idea what happened behind the scenes, and I'm not claiming to know. But as a viewer, the shift in the show's energy has been obvious for a while. Wasn't surprised when I saw Kiana hanging around Jasleen either. This just confirms to me that the problem has more to do with Andrew and the fact that Akaash follows all the other members except Andrew tells you a lot. On the other hand, Andrew still follows Akaash which makes it seem like he's trying to play the cool guy in front of the others. Well I think he should call it Andrew & Friends except the friends barely talk.

Realized I haven't watched an episode in 2 months

I just don't enjoy the product as much as I did, and I'm someone who's been watching since Kaz was on. Now it's more of a watered down version of Andrew podcast with two sidekicks. It's just not worth the time to entertainment value ratio for me anymore. I watch other podcasts now lol.

“I guess some relationships are harder to leave than others”

Am I reading too much into this? This seems like a direct shot at Flagrant/Andrew specifically.

Edit: he deleted the story and uploaded this picture and a caption on his actual feed. Interesting note, the story had a brown woman emoji, while his actual post has a brown man emoji. I wonder who actually made the original post…

Jasleen speaks about Andrew and Akaash’s friendship

She attached a clip from a movie where the girl repeats “no no no no” at least a dozen times.

Has anyone noticed changes behind the scenes at Flagrant over the past few years?

Well I've been a fan since the earlier days and the show feels very different now than it used to. Some of that is probably natural as podcasts grow but I'm curious if other longtime viewers have noticed changes in the dynamic, production or overall direction of the show.
I've also seen that there are job postings for roles on Andrew Schulz's team which made me wonder what it's actually like working in that environment. Obviously none of us know what goes on behind the scenes but I'm curious whether there are any public interviews, stories or experiences from former employees, collaborators or guests that shed light on the workplace culture. I think the main reason Akaash quitted Flagrant cause he was being mistreated, used only for their benefits and the toxic environment. I don't blame him to be fair he had more pactions than me cause I wouldn't have lasted that long.
One thing I've seen floating around online is speculation that there may have been tensions behind the scenes and that it could have played a role in some of the changes around the show. I have no idea if that's true, and I haven't seen any evidence confirming it but it seems to be a topic that comes up a lot in fan discussions.
I'm not interested in rumors or personal attacks. I'm more interested in understanding how the show evolved from its early days and whether people think that growth has been positive or negative.

With guests vs without guests

Now with akaash gone I think pods are better without him when there is a guest. But when its just the boys I miss him . They need another personality and get alex outta there

Did Jasleen delete the ama post?

I wanted to show my girl to get her thoughts on it. Sucks to see the drama spill into the public like this. I’m a fan of both of them since the first episode of flagrant 2.

Why is Alex on the couch now?

Haven’t tuned in in a while Mark is an unfunny incel (yes you’re pretty but you’ve only fucked one chick in your life so yeah incel) And why is this half Puerto Rican (as a Puerto Rican I’m ashamed) nail polish wearing cuck on the god damn couch he doesn’t contribute anything at all. Damn I’ve been keeping up since the Akaash drama. And damn do They need Akaash back.
