Bus says it’s cancelled by website still says it’s scheduled?

Bus says it’s cancelled by website still says it’s scheduled?

Got an email and text this morning saying my bus got cancelled for a couple weeks from now. I went to check the website and they still say they are scheduled I’m unsure if this is a mistake on the website or email but should I just go ahead and reschedule my bus or should I just leave it?

EMERGENCY POST luggage exchange this morning Flixbus N724

EMERGENCY POST I need to find the owner of the luggage that I took with me by mistake this morning.

I got off the bus N724 (going towards Grenoble) this morning around 8-8:30 at Lyon Gerland. Tired and eager to go home I grabbed what I thought was my bag and left, didn't realize before I reached home because I was left with no keys.

The backpack is a large hiking type one, 75L capacity, grey and black. I opened it to try and find informations about the owner, in vain.

What I did find was a lot more concerning : MEDICATION. Without getting into details, the kind you don't want to forget about. I messed up real bad.

(Ironically enough my own meds, which are a pain to get prescribed, and said prescription are in the backpack I left behind)

I declared the "found" luggage as well as my "loss" on the website, is there anything else I can do? I couldn't find any number to call on the website.

Hi there,

Our subreddit r/FlixBus is constantly growing, and we’ve got some major changes coming up. Unfortunately, I’m now the only moderator, which isn’t sustainable in the long run.

That’s why I’m looking for new members to join the mod team.

FlixBus

Toronto to Sudbury 9 am bus;
Driver left one passenger in Perry Sound after 8 minutes break.
Driver made her comment: “ I am not waiting for her”
Shame on the company!
Driver should be fired!

What if theres no toilet??

Hello everyone,

I will take a 13 hour ride to paris tomorrow and have read that there are often out of order on these busses.

How an i expected to go 13 hours wihout peeing? There a no planned stops longer than 5 minutes so we probably cant get out of the bus.

I have kind of a sensitive bladder (not too bad, but i need to go every couple if hours) and am wondering what to do

Bus tire blew up on a trip.

So I was on a trip from Toronto to Ottawa yesterday and one of the back tires completely blew up to shreds. It delayed 2 hours for a mechanic and reservations I had were completely ruined and had to miss them. It was a total hell hole, not a fun experience.

Night transport Salzburg

Hi guys!

I am currently planning a 1 day trip to Vienna and I'm a bit worried about transport at night. If I have an early Saturday morning flixbus seat (let's say 5am) how do I get from the central station Hauptanbahnof to Salzburg Süd at that time?!

And what if on the way back I arrive at Salzburg Süd after Midnight (Monday 00:00) how do I get to the central station Hauptbahnhof at that time?!

I'm looking for the cheapest and safest way please.

Traveling alone at 16 and need some advice

Hello! I am Thijs, i am going from Sweden to the Netherlands soon and my Flixbus departs from Kopenhagen. I never liked public transport and have a moped at home, however due to unforeseen circumstances I need to return home, alone.

I am quite nervous about the entire trip and I have zero expectations or experience with Flixbus. Is it safe? Is it "comfortable" and are there other things i need to worry about

possibly taking a trip over 10-18 hours

update: thank you everyone for sharing their experience!! i’ve decided to take the bus instead of flying :) i have a really good portable charger i’m gonna take with me as well as noise cancelling earbuds! i might also bring a book and my switch or something to keep myself entertained. Likely going to do that on the way there and I already have a place booked to sleep as soon as I arrive! Then on my way back I’ll likely be more tired so I’m gonna book 2 seats and will sleep as much as I can 😊😊

i'm planning to travel from toronto area to Columbus ohio and the plane is incredibly expensive, whereas the bus is 1/10th of the price. i know its a long trip but i hope to maybe sleep majority of the time? i would also be to transfering after half the trip to another bus, and depending on which trip it could be a short amount of time to transfer or a few hours. i won't be bringing much luggage wise, just a small suitcase/bag with me. please share your experience's and if this is an absolutely horrible idea. would it be better to take the bus on way and fly the other? i would just prefer to save the money and not spend 1k on a flight (and its kind of out of budget) for the amount of time im staying

Flixbus drivers

Hello, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I will try. I would like to know from the background type of thing how do the FlixBus drivers change throughout the route. For example they drive for 8 hours than change and they stay at a hotel and then drive back on the other day or do they drive in the bus to the final destination? For example route Kyiv to Warsaw, that’s a 15h drive so I doubt they do it in one driver. And do they need to use tachograph? Thanks in advance

Extreme bad body odor - smell torture

I’ve traveled with FlixBus quite a lot this summer throughout Europe. While most people on the buses have smelled nice or neutral, with the occasional over-perfumed or cigarette smell here and there (annoying but acceptable), there were two people who got on a direct bus to Berlin from where not important for the story with a direct bus line taking over 15 hours) and they smelled so awful I nearly vomited.

It was a man and a woman around 25 years old. They had the panorama seats. They didn’t look particularly dirty, apart from the girl having unkempt hair and the guy having long hair and a somewhat scruffy beard. They immediately brought out a sleeping bag and took off their shoes and socks. Even before that, though, they absolutely reeked of a combination of old sweat, mold, something rotten, maybe halitosis, maybe urine, and the smell of an old wet dog. Since it was a night bus, it wasn’t because of the heat. The air conditioning only made it worse by circulating the smell back to me on the fourth row. I swear that it really was something out of the ordinary and it smelled up the whole upper deck and everyone kept making gestures like pinching their nose and spraying deo in the air and even though everyone spoke in all kinds of languages it was clear that everyone was bothered by it and was talking about it.

They had nothing visibly dirty, no smelly food, and didn’t appear high or drunk. After a while they also started getting frisky with each other inside the sleeping bag.
I had a nasal congestion spray that I almost emptied, which blocked the smell temporarily, and I barely got through the night. Luckily they didn’t go the whole way, but it was still seven hours of absolute smell torture.

I wonder if there’s anything that can be done in a situation like this?

I mean, you couldn’t exactly go up to them and politely ask them to stop smelling, right?

And what would the driver even be able to do?

bike as a special luggage

Has anyone traveled on FlixBus with a bicycle as special luggage 30 kg and packed in a large foil bag? Will the driver let me on board? The route is from Berlin to Poland and it doesn't provide bike rack.

Bringing a second bag to your seat?

I am soon gonna have a long trip with flix (30+ hours). My luggage is a small backpack that contains a laptop to watch stuff on and follow the bus route online, a few pieces of clothing for change (and to cushion the laptop inside the bag), some food and other smaller things. But I'm also gonna carry a bag that has 2 water bottles, a blanket and a cushion for the nights. I don't have a classic big suitcase.
And the cushion and the blanket really aren't gonna be able to fit in the backpack.
Since the travel is this long and I will need the stuff from both, do you think it could be an issue if I try to get both pieces of luggage with me to my seat? They are both about 5kg. I paid for 2 luggage pieces but normally one of those is meant to be a suitcase that goes into the storage compartment of the bus. Also since the trip is this long with many stops inbetween, I am really worried someone might take my stuff and I wouldn't even be able to notice until I reach my destination. So in past travels I always tried to travel as light as possible to where I don't need a second piece of luggage.
But here due to the lengh of the trip the amount of necessities kinda increases.
