Koffer verloren

Vielen Dank!

Curious, What was your longest trip with flixbus? And how was it?

Hey there guys and girls, I am just asking what your longest trip was and how it was like, i myself got a flixbus trip of 38 hours ahead of me from Amsterdam to Belgrade for tourism and meeting a long time best friend of mine from gaming that i have known for the last 8 years, kind of dreading the trip not going to lie, but i will do it, knowing how the experience was for you guys will help me a ton.

Do I need a passport as a EU citizen travelling to another EU country?

I’m fully aware this sounds like a silly question, but I’ve personally seen Flixbus drivers refusing to seat European passengers without passports (the bus was going from Prague to Berlin and the passengers had an ID on them). I’ve even read on the Flixbus website that you can take an ID or a passport, so I’m not sure why this would be an issue.

I’ll be travelling to Austria soon, but I noticed that my passport has recently expired and I really don’t wanna give a ton of money away to have it renewed within that short timeframe.

If I can take only an ID and the driver refuses to seat me, what do I do?

Why are people on the flixbus so antisocial?

I tried to talk to the person next to me during the whole ride (travelling is about meeting new people 😁). At first he responded but didn’t show much interest and after a while he literally started to ignore me, why does this always happen? It happened many times

Is it rude to watch tiktoks without headphones on Flixbus?

I had a discussion with someone on my bus today. I was watching TikToks on my phone without headphones and she asked me to stop. Hell no!
I understand if it was during the night, but it was daytime. Also FlixBus is public transport, not a library. There were already people talking etc.
I feel like people nowadays expect complete silence everywhere. How would you react if you were me?

FlixBus Brussels → Frankfurt: Border checks for non-EU citizens

Hi everyone, I have a planned trip with FlixBus from Brussels to Frankfurt next week, and I wanted to ask about the border checks for non-EU citizens.

  • How often do they check the bus?
  • Around what time or at which point of the journey do the checks usually happen?
  • If you've taken this route recently, how was your experience?

Thanks!

Bialystok to Bremen

22 hours with FlixBus from Białystok (Poland) to Bremen (Germany), and honestly this was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had in Europe.

At first everything looked fine. The Wi-Fi worked, the bus looked normal, and I had even paid EXTRA money specifically for seat 3A by the window because I wanted a more comfortable ride for such a long trip.

A few hours later, some guy sat behind me in seat 4A. Late at night I tried to recline my seat to rest, and this guy immediately told me I “couldn’t do that” because he had long legs. Meanwhile, HE HIMSELF had his own seat reclined.

I went to the driver during one of the stops and explained the situation. The response? Basically: “Nothing we can do.”

Seriously?

I paid extra for my seat, but apparently I’m still not allowed to actually use it normally. The driver later checked and saw the guy would leave in Gdańsk after several more stops, so his solution was basically: “Just suffer through it and wait.”

That already ruined the trip, but it kept getting worse.

The Wi-Fi slowly became unusable. Later the driver admitted they basically have limited data for the entire bus, so after a few hours the Wi-Fi practically dies completely. So all those promises about onboard Wi-Fi are mostly a joke on long-distance trips.

Then the toilet had no water to wash hands.

Then the power outlets stopped working too. The driver said somebody plugged something in and “the whole system broke.” They eventually fixed it, but by then the overall impression was already a disaster.

The entire experience felt like nobody cared at all — not the drivers, not the company, nobody. You’re stuck for almost an entire day on a bus with broken services, dead Wi-Fi, electrical problems, no water, and zero help when passengers create problems.

For a company that operates all across Europe, this level of service is honestly embarrassing.

Never again.

FlixBus bus caught fire, all our belongings destroyed, nearly a month later they are ghosting our compensation claim.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for legal advice on how to proceed against FlixBus India.

On 3 June 2026, I was travelling on a FlixBus from Mussoorie to Delhi with two friends. Around 12:45–1:00 AM, the bus caught fire. Thankfully, all passengers escaped, but all of our luggage was completely destroyed in the fire.

There were three passengers under the same booking.

Between the three of us, we lost laptops, phones, clothes, shoes, bags, electronics, personal documents, gifts purchased during the trip, cash, and many other personal belongings.
We also had to arrange our own cab after the incident to continue our journey because the trip could not continue.

Personally, I also suffered physical injuries, including painful blood clots on my hands and arms, and I have photographs documenting the injuries.

Immediately after the incident, we contacted FlixBus and submitted everything they asked for:

Booking details
Passenger details
Itemized inventories of all damaged belongings
Available invoices
Photographs of the belongings
Photographs of the injuries
Cab expense receipts
Every other document they requested

Since then, it has been almost a month.
I have followed up every week by email and through customer support chat.

The problem is that:

I have not received a single acknowledgement email confirming that our claim is under review.

I have not been assigned a claim reference number.

I have not received any meaningful update on the status of the claim.

Whenever I contact customer support through chat, I receive essentially the same response:

“We have escalated your case to the appropriate team. Please wait. The email team will get back to you.”

However, no one from the email or claims team has contacted us, despite repeated assurances.

At this point, it feels like our emails are simply being ignored.

We have now started copying FlixBus India’s Legal Grievance team on our emails, but we still haven’t received any response.

My questions are:

What are my legal options in India?

Should I send a legal notice first, or can I directly file a complaint before the Consumer Commission?

Can we also claim compensation for the additional expenses we incurred after the incident, the physical injuries, and the emotional distress, in addition to the value of the destroyed belongings?

Since there are three passengers under the same booking, should we file separate complaints or a joint complaint?

Any guidance from lawyers or anyone who has dealt with a similar situation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

FlixBus NYC station is like they opened the doors of an insane asylum

I went to ask a question and the people in the booth/customer service structure reeked of weed and had a weird attitude. Everyone who works there is screaming: screaming at each other, screaming at the customers, screaming at the drivers, screaming in the air. Clearly there is no real system.

It reminds me of one of those movies where you are waiting to get into a bunker after a nuclear attack. The ride was peaceful once I left. i think it’s just a NYC thing but what a freakshow. Some may find it entertaining, but as a first time rider from this station, I was confused.

Flixbus found my lost bag with IDs and is not shipping it for over a month

On May 11th I left a bag on a FlixBus from Eindhoven to The Hague containing my passport and EU residence permit. I reported it to Dutch police and filed a Lost & Found form with FlixBus.

On May 22nd they emailed me confirming they found it and asking me to pay €29.90 for DHL shipping. I paid the same day and provided a delivery address.

Since then — 37 days ago — their Lost & Found department has not replied to a single follow-up email. I’ve called customer support many times and every agent tells me to just wait and that Lost & Found is a separate department they can’t contact.

These are identity documents. Without them I cannot start my job in August and my summer plans go to hell.

Has anyone dealt with this? Is there any way to actually escalate this beyond their customer support black hole?

please help!’

UPDATE: they emailed me today saying they’ll organise the shipment ASAP! let’s see if it happens

My lost luggage with Flixbus currently

2 days ago, I took the bus from Seville to Albufeira, supposed to transfer to another bus to Porto. When I alighted at Albufeira and I wanted to collect my luggage, the driver refused to let me take my luggage, despite me showing my Flixbus app that I am heading to Porto afterwards. I am not sure if I heard him correctly, saying to me not to take my luggage and wait for the bus later.

I was stupid enough to believe him and left my luggage in that bus route 1794, bound for Lagos. I had a Smart Tag tracker in the luggage, so till now, it is at Kron Auto Sevilla. However, I don't have the time to make back to Seville, as I am currently in Porto and I will be heading to Lisbon today.

To continue on the story from Albufeira bus station, I waited and waited. When the bus 1010 came, I checked the bus luggage compartment and didn't see my luggage, so I didn't board the bus, as my tracker showed that it was still at Lagos. The driver had lied to me that the bus route 1794 and 1010 would be the same. Maybe we were not talking about the same thing during that short conversation, as that driver's understanding of English was limited.

So now, I don't know what I should do. I will depart from Lisbon on 4th Jul, back to my home country. Should I book a bus from Lisbon to Seville, just to retrieve back my luggage and then back to Lisbon again? Or just forgo my luggage. The luggage consists of my clothes, toiletries some Zara and Pull & Bear clothes that I got from Spain. So during the time when I lost my luggage 2 days ago, I had to rush to buy new set of clothes and basic toiletries, as the only clothes I had were what I was wearing, but thankfully, my passport and all valuables were in my backpack together with me when I alighted at Albufeira Bus Station.

Any advice? Will appreciate a lot. Thanks.

Never booking flix bus again.

Im with my family of 4, we bring 3 big duffel bags and 4 smaller duffel bags. The driver tells us that we have too many bags. We tell him that we have 7, but i dont know much Italian so it was hard to understand. Somehow he was counting 9. Im assuming he was counting the 2 little fanny packs strapped to our chests that dont weigh over a kilo. He says we cant get on the bus we "have too many bags" and would have to pay extra?! I then proceed to stuff 3 of the 4 smaller duffel bags in the bigger duffel bags and the driver is fuming that I found a loophole 🤣. He then let's my family get on the bus. Another problem i had with this bus is that our seats got changed from the front 4 seats to the third row the day before which I was also mad about because I paid extra for the front seats with extra leg room . Flix bus gives me a ~11 euro CREDIT to use on a bus ride booking with them. Supposedly you have to email them and wait ~7 days for a refund of 11 euros which is barely even worth it. They could just refund straight to the card. Never booking flix Bus again trying to scam.

Safe to travel overnight as a woman?

Hi! I’m writing because of worries I’ve been having. I’m a 19 year old woman of color, and it’s gonna be my first long and overnight trip with flixbus, and I’m having some safety concerns and wanted to hear other peoples experiences.

I wanted to ask, is it safe for me to travel overnight as a woman? it is gonna be a 20+ hours long trip, are people usually drinking or being disruptive to women travelling? also, I’m a little worried about the luggage as well, if I remember they’re stored on the outside compartment of the bus, is there any chances someone would just grab my suitcase and leave or is it regulated, how could I prevent that? overall, I’d just like some tips from women :)

Will a standard cabin baggage fit in the overhead luggage holding spot in flixbus?

I have a bus from Munich to Ljubljana soon. I hear horror stories of people’s luggages being stolen from the hold and I don’t want that so i want to take it in the overhead compartment with me. From what I see there are no stops but idk maybe it doesn’t show up on the app.

Nonetheless my question is whether a standard airplane cabin luggage would fit on the overhead hold or not? I would only carry that i believe or maybe a small handbag but that i’ll take in my hands.

Thank you!

Why does a particular line get cancelled multiple times in a two-week period?

I have noticed that the line that I am going to be using (Venice to Budapest) has been cancelled three or four times in the past two weeks while all the other ones are operating all right. Any ideas or explanations? I am pretty much worried I will have this happen to us, which, as I will be travelling with my twelve year old daughter, wouldn't be a lot of fun.

Any experiences regarding this would be appreciated
