[OC] Panthers' franchise historical performance relative to .500

Here is your franchise's cumulative record relative to .500 (equal wins and losses) throughout their entire history.

I will be making one such graph for each team. The complete album can be seen here.

OT losses are counted as losses.

Thanking the Hockey Gods Every Day for Bill Zito

Deleted and reposted due to a typo in the title.

Dude has our core locked up long term and almost all of them for less than $10 mil.

Meanwhile Leo Carlsson is about to become the highest paid player at $18 mil a year for a small fee of four first round picks.

Thoughts on Markstrom ??

Was loving the off season moves until this one. Markstrom never really impressed me as a top goalie especially in the last few seasons. But then again it’s not like I followed the teams he was playing for.
So does anyone have any insight, is he worth the cap hit ? (2 years at 6 million). Seems off that these big moves to stay competitive only to get a so-so goalie. I was hoping that Cooper Black would get a shot.
Any thoughts?

Radko’s shirt at his introductory press conference

"Nobody likes us. We don’t care.”

😂 He gets it. Welcome home Butcher. Can't wait to see the first Barky-Butcher high five.

the Panthers game that made you realize this team's identity had actually changed

There was an era where this franchise felt like a punchline and clearly that's not the case anymore, and usually there's one specific game where that shift became obvious. Mine happened earlier than I expected. What's yours.

I trust Zito 100%

After seeing Bob get 3/21 million from the Leafs I got to thinking that maybe the FO did not want Bob back. We're paying Markstrom 6 Million for the next 2 years and with the tax savings we have in Florida, $7 million in Toronto is like 5 - 5.5 here. I'm sure Bob knows that too. So, my question is: Did the FO want Bob back? What kind of offer did they make him? It has to be something significantly worse than what he got in Toronto, no? Maybe something like a 3 x 4 or 2 x 5? We kept hearing rumours that he wanted 6 years at 7 million, but we could've easily matched Toronto here. So, the question remains... Did Zito want Bob back?

What is left for the panthers to do before the season

the lines at this time i think look like this Verhaeghe-Barkov-Reinhart Tkachuk-Bennett-Tkachuk Loustarinen-Lundell-Marchand Gadjovich-Eller/Lafferty/Schwindt-Hathaway

Eller/Lafferty/Schwindt/Beecher/Reinhardt as the next men up

Jones-Ekblad Forsling-Mikkola Gudas-Kulikov

Balinskis/Sebrango -Next men up

Markstrom Schmid

i know we need to sign Schmid but puckpedia has us with 400k space to do that so one of the forwards and one d needs to go down not sure if they need waivers but then i think we are done.

anything im missing?

[LeBrun] Evan Rodriques, Jesper Boqvist and Ben Steeves to NJ in exchange for Jacob Marktsrom and Angus Crookshank. That's the full Panthers-Devils deal.

Best response to the Colin Campbell claims?

I keep running into the same Colin Campbell argument whenever people talk about the Panthers. The fans of other teams bring up Colin Campbell and Gregory Campbell. The argument is usually that because Gregory is our assistant GM and Colin is a longtime NHL executive, the Panthers must be getting favorable officiating or Department of Player Safety decisions.
I know about the leaked emails from years ago involving Colin complaining about calls against his son when Gregory was a player, but is there any actual evidence that he’s influenced officiating or discipline to benefit the Panthers since Gregory joined the organization? Or is this mostly people connecting dots because of what happened over a decade ago?
I’m looking for factual counterarguments rather than “just ignore them.” Are there articles, interviews, league policies, or examples that address the conflict-of-interest claims? It seems like this gets brought up constantly by fans of other teams, and I’m curious what the strongest response actually is.
