Stacksocial clarification

Hi,

There has been a LOT of confusion regarding FolderForts changes... Like really..

You have clarified the lifetime accounts and what they can/will be able to do.

HOWEVER... On StackSocial FolderFort is still being sold.. Can we get a clarification on this?

Servers are down!

It's been more than 12 hours since the servers went down, and we still have no access to our files. Yet there has been no official update from Dave or any FolderFort representative explaining what is happening. It increasingly feels as though FolderFort customers are not a priority.

iOS + Android App Updates

We've pushed updates to our Android and iOS apps.

Camera roll sync, background uploads, duplicate detection, and queues have all been improved.

If updating, please logout first, then update. Then log back in.

A Pro subscription is no longer required for automated uploads.

It is still in Beta, and we are actively working on it. If you notice any issues please reach out to us on our website.

Also if leaving a review/rating on the apps please consider giving us 5 stars. If not, please let us know why. This is a big part of helping us keep the app updated, add more features, and continue to develop our services.

Downtime

Hello everyone - at 11-12pm EST last night our servers were running a routine security update.

One of the main drives got stuck on a log file which locked up the system for approx 12 hours.

We have a notification system in place for when there is any interuption of service which is extremely rare - which itself failed.

A customer called our support line and notified us and we resolved the issue within a few minutes.

This is not related to the recent discussions on lifetime accounts, etc. Nothing was comprimised or damaged. Everything is operational as normal now.

We understand it can be frustrating and worrisome especially given the timing.

This is very dissapointing for us as well.

The issue is solved now and we have no reason to suspect it coming up again.

Lifetime plans going away?

Got an email saying they are getting rid of folderforts lifetime plans.

Its a lot of word salad and doesnt get straight to the point.

As an early supporter of them, im not happy.

Has anyone read the entire email and care to sum it up in a paragraph?

There is something wrong with the account-related systems.

Although unrelated to the server outage over the past few hours, I am unable to log in to my billing account. I created a new billing account this morning, but I can only log in via the legacy login page.
Furthermore, even after logging in through the legacy page, I cannot assign the PRO account to the storage; this is because the confirmation email required to link the storage to the billing account never arrives.
I am also unable to link the PRO status to storage that is already associated with the billing account.
To me, it appears that the account-related systems are fundamentally broken.

Sorry For The Confusion - Lifetime Accounts Will Continue!

Sorry for the confusion in our email yesterday.

To clarify, all existing lifetime accounts will continue to operate as they have.

We are not removing them. We are just not going to sell them anymore.

In regards to Lifetime users who want to migrate to FF Business.

Here is an example.

Bob bought 5TB lifetime account 2 years ago. He wants to move to FF Business. He buys the subscription early for $10/month (limited time for lifetime users) and gets 1TB included. Requests his lifetime account be moved over.

For the same base subscription of $10/month, he now has Folder Fort Business with 6TB total. And can keep all 6TB for the lifetime of the subscription.

He then has access to resell the space, use his own logo, domain name, stream video, direct embed, use as a CDN, use FF Connect Pro, and and enjoy the other benefits.

Hopefully this clears things up.

Lifetime Account Misinformation

Folderforts email says the new lifetime subscription have ceased.

However, lifetime plans are still an option on folderforts website.

Is July 1 the cutoff date?

PSA for Lifetime plans & SC

This is to warn anyone planning to buy a lifetime subscription from Stacksocial to NOT do it! I repeat, DON'T PURCHASE!!!

An email was sent to existing users they are doing away with the lifetime plans. It appears only 5TB will be transferable and more than that, who knows? It sounds like if you have more, you will have to pay a monthly/annual subscription and will lose anything over 5TB. It's honestly not very clear.

As an early user, this is very disappointing. I understand not allowing new signups, but they are taking away what they promised early users. They are in essence taking away our lifetime access by not honoring what we purchased. It's even worse it's still been available on SC and those poor people aren't even aware.

Such a shame!

Important Account Update

Did anyone else get the "Important Account Update" email? What does this mean for lifetime accounts? I read this email like they're trying to get out of their lifetime accounts and force conversion to paid monthly account but I'd be very happy to be wrong about this. Anyone have more clarity?

  1. I understand we can keep lifetime accounts without porting to a business plan. Are you still going to provide updates to the current lifetime users?

  2. You said fooderfort is going to focus on business plans. So in future are you going to sunset current non business plan accounts?

  3. if i want to move to a business plan. Can I do without paying an extra amount?

  4. The link provided in the email says for lifetime users get up to 5tb free migration. But also showing discounted monthly/annual plan for business. So 5tb migration is only for users who want to migrate to a business plan paying monthly?

  5. if i have less than 5tb, can I migrate to business plan without paying subscription?

  6. if i have more than 5tb, how does it work if i want to migrate to business plan.

Problems logging into my FolderFort billing account

I am experiencing ongoing issues logging into my FolderFort billing account. Each time I attempt to sign in, my password is not recognized, and I am forced to reset it and create a new password to gain access. This happens repeatedly and prevents me from reliably accessing my account.
