Was wondering on what value I should be looking for to sell one. around the higher 150000km, roof lining is peeling off, glove box still holds, but it isnt really attached anymore, there's a foot long gash on the driver side bed (i've filled, painted and overcoated it for protection). everything is stock, including the FPV wheels, white, automatic, mechanically sound. only non standard thing is the hardcover for the bed.

never really drive it much anymore and would probs be better if it went to someone who could appreciate it as much or more than i do.

Hey, I'm towards the end of being on my green p's and am looking to get a falcon, probably a sedan around the 2011 mark for my budget of up to 12.5k. In terms of servicing, reliability and costs associated, is there anything I should be considering?

Im also not sure on the going rate for falcons, I'm looking between 7-12.5k. How much should i realistically spend and what should i look out for?

In terms of buying a falcon, is facebook marketplace a good place to go? Is there anything I should consider before buying and should I bring a mechanic along to inspect the car etc.

Im also thinking of getting a small tinny at some point, would the falcon sedans be ok for towing and getting a tinny on the water or would a ute be better, a sedan just works better for my lifestyle. Also, if the sedan doesn't have a tow bar built in, is it worth buying one to install or should i just look for a factory fitted tow bar.

I'm not the most car savvy person, so excuse me for all the questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated :))

Good evening yall, I have a BA falcon with fairly large cams and valve springs to accompany and think its time to upgrade the oil pump. My car is still NA but is on E85 and making around 300hp, it will be used for drifitng.

What oil pump would everyone recommend? Im looking at the Horse power junkie ones but they seem a bit excessive for my setup, so was planning on getting the atomic race spec or ported oem+ .

Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated!! im trying to not to spend the big bucks if i don't need to!

*car still uses the stock VCT setup with atomic timming gear

Hello! Bit of a doozy I'm struggling to work out.

I bought this ba falcon in January, and was installing a reverse camera recently when I realised that the reverse lights are always on, albeit dimly. This obviously means the reverse cam is always on.

When the car is put into reverse, the lights become brighter, as they should, but until the car is switched off, they remain on dimly.

I pulled the reverse switch from below the car, and the lights remain on. Given that this happens to both lights, and that the rear main earth looks relatively fine, I'm suspecting the problem is a wiring one since the car had a t56 swapped in from a t5.

What made it weirder, was that when pulling fuses, an unused fused (according to the fusebox) being pulled would cause the lights to finally turn off. When this fuse was put back, it sounded like a fuel pump and as turned on, as the sound of it priming could be heard.

I'm aware the car had a sniper 320 fuel pump put in, but I have no idea how that was wired, and where I should start looking. I checked the fuel pump wiring under the rear seats, but it seems pretty normal.

From what I understand, the fuel pump fuse should go to a relay somewhere in the engine bay, and then splice into the factory wiring before moving down towards the fuel pump. Is this true? If so, where would it be?

My ultimate conclusion is that there was a poor splice into the wrong wire, or that there is an unintentional connection to the reverse light wire, causing the 12v to constantly leak into those.

Hey gang, I have an FG XR8 sedan and it has an ongoing electrical gremlin in the ABS. When I press the brake pedal and the pedal comes back up, I get an ABS/DSC fault warning. Ive replaced the brake.pedal swith and ABS module, got new tyres incase it was off balance somehow (needed replacing anyway) and all my brake lights are working. Anyone have any ideam

Hey, I just bought a 2009 XR6 with 190xxx kms. I’m getting a vibration through the steering wheel above 70km/h, which increases with speed.
Still vibrates when cruising above this speed in neutral.
Got a wheel balance and alignment after finding out the LF was toe’d out by 5mm. Still have the vibration.
What could be the cause? I’m thinking if it’s not a bent rim or cooked tyre then maybe the control arm bushes or maybe rotors?
Any suggestions would be great - no time to fix it myself so I have to present this issue to a mechanic also.

hi i am having issues finding a new fuel filler hose for my gas dedicated BA falcon wagon. everything i find online states that it is only for sedans and not wagons. im wondering if anyone else has replaced one before for a wagon and knows where to find one. when filling up my car with gas, clouds waft from under the car so i assume this is the problem. any help appreciated.

when idle my gauge shows 0 rpm but while driving it seems quite normal what could be the issue?

I’m looking into buying some territory rims for my FG just to roll it around the backyard / garage.

Noticed tonight coming home that my demisters aren’t working. (I have the aeropro facia.)
So I flicked through the modes and turns out it’s stuck on the face setting, checked the actuator linkage near the glove box and that is moving.
So I assume the HVAC unit has to come out???
If so what’s involved.
P.S fan speed and temperature works, just doesn’t change mode.
