Did anyone else feel a bit disappointed at how short the show was? They started at 9:15 and ended at 10:35 including the encore. That is one of the shortest concerts I’ve ever seen. I’m also pretty bummed about the lack of new songs on the set, especially with “Ruby” printed on the setlist and then wasn’t played. Why? I really liked hearing “are you what you want to be” and “life on the nickel” but was hoping to hear more songs off SHC and a different set of songs from PSOM that wasn’t already on their last tour. I think it’s odd to close with diamond to be born for a second tour. Not to mention, how come the “pick u up” cluster of releases seem to get ignored and never played live? The early setlists of the tour looked like it was going to be a deep cut tour for the hardcore fans. I loved the show but damn, I feel a bit let down.

On a positive note, the show was electric. I LOVED the hybrid visuals of the LED wall house with the projector above. It was their most visually engaging show yet. The sound was huge, and I feel like the new band has come into their own. Aaron and Micah were solid and clearly having a lot of fun with big energy on stage.

So today is a week before the ATL concert. I’ve been a fan for over 15 years yet this will be my first concert. Why? Well for the Torches era I was a child lol, during SHC I was living in Alaska, during Torches X I was heavily pregnant, and unfortunately during Supermodel the Richmond concert was cancelled day-of. I was crushed ofc but it’s all good, we’re back. I’m going through some Good Mourning sickness (pregnant again but early 🫠) so I’m probably extra sensitive, but still.

I keep seeing scary posts about Mark saying he’s sad, tired, and won’t tour for much longer and also how the sets are getting shorter. And this is a stupid reason but as a black american fan, I know we are a very small group and I worry that since that’s the majority population of ATL (and with tickets not sold out yet) it would be the easiest choice to cancel. This is no way in anybody’s control (even Mark as he must be in good shape to put on a good show). So I’m just posting to let out some sadness, and hopefully if anybody’s in ATL next week and we do get canceled we can all hang out and cry over good local food and NA drinks 🥹🫶

So I plan to go alone tonight, who else is going?
