Searching for: Foxtrot Mike MIKE-15 Gen 2 Upper (9" or 12.5")
Hello everyone,
I have an approved Form 1 lower (originally a PSA Jakl setup, but I’ve removed the rear picatinny adapter) that has been sitting around for about 8–9 months. I am currently working on building out a highly compact, short AR setup intended for concealed security duties at our religious services.
I am fully aware of the ballistic arguments, velocity drops, and general concerns regarding running 5.56/.223 out of a barrel shorter than 10.5 inches. However, after looking closely at Foxtrot Mike Products, I decided to shift my plans away from the Jakl and go with the MIKE-15 platform instead.
Ideally, I would love to source a 9-inch MIKE-15 Gen 2 upper to start my build, train with it, and evaluate if I genuinely need to step up to something slightly longer. A 12.5-inch upper would be my second choice.
The issue is that I cannot seem to find the 9" or 12.5" uppers in stock anywhere right now.
To be absolutely clear: I am not trying to buy or trade anything directly in this thread. I am strictly looking for information and advice:
- Does anyone know of lesser-known websites, smaller authorized dealers, or distributors that currently have these lengths in stock?
- Is anyone familiar with Foxtrot Mike's production cycles or how often they typically restock these specific barrel lengths?
- Are there specific legitimate secondary market boards or auction profiles (like their Z Gun Store profile on GunBroker) where these pop up more frequently?
