1. THE OTHER MODDERS: Guys there are a TON of new “modders” popping up. We see their posts. We see their work (some are really NOT good). We get flooded with messages “I just bought a Frank from so-and-so and it’s got problems” or my favorite “theirs doesn’t shine or look like yours does”. There’s a reason we are the number one Frank source. Making them “look” Gen is easy. Buy Gen parts, replace rep parts with Gen. But making them “feel” genuine is the challenge. Did you know almost every other dealer/modder/watchmaker on Reddit outsources their work? Yep. They don’t do it themselves. It all comes out of China shops. We do ALL OUR OWN WORK. And we stand behind it. You may see a cheaper price but you’re gonna get what you pay for. And be wary of those who are selling the same product yet sending DMs out to trash our name. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what their angle really is…
2. NOT ALL MODELS CAN BE FRANKED. We are beholden to what we can get. Genuine watch parts are as volatile as oil. Pricing changes daily. Supplies dry up quickly. Chances are the model you want simply CANNOT be done. Pepsi, Batman/girl, 126 panda Daytona, Starbucks, any sub 41….FORGET IT. You and 174k other ppl looking for the same. Be REALISTIC. If it’s a Gen that’s selling for $35k grey market and it’s a $10k retail watch, chances are you’re not finding parts for it. Parts are available because of these factors: someone sold it out the back door, it’s damaged, it’s a part taken out to customize the watch with diamonds or another custom part. That’s pretty much it.
3. TIME WASTERS. Please stop wasting our time. If you message us and then ghost us after we spent time replying to you, expect that we won’t reply back ever again to you. We get 50-100 messages PER DAY. It’s nearly a full time job managing messages alone.
4. BE REALISTIC. Franked watches are expensive. They contain genuine parts. Genuine parts are expensive just like the genuine watch it came out of. It’s simple. Nobody is getting something for nothing..be prepared to pay for the very same thing you’re trying to NOT pay for..the genuine article.
5. TERMINOLOGY. I see many “super franked” posts by other modders/dealers, but when I look at their post, all I see is some polishing and maybe a genuine crystal. They use cute terms like “refinished dial” or “CNC” as marketing hype. Everything today is CNC. That stands for computer numeric controlled. Almost every machine in modern manufacturing is a CNC machine now. So what you’re really getting is just a standard old replica case. With a cute little term. A true SUPER FRANK should have at least 3 to 4 genuine components that are all front facing parts. Things you can see with your eyes, not looking inside and seeing that it has a genuine spring bar or a genuine screw holding the movement tab down. This is why we came up with terms like “LITE FRANK” or INSANITY FRANK”. To differentiate between the different levels of the amount of genuine parts going into the build.
6. LASTLY….BUYERS REMORSE. This doesn’t happen often but it does happen. Wives find out. Asses get chewed on. Your expectation of getting a Gen watch for a cheap price isn’t met. Your OCD is so out of control you need literal medical attention and a fat ass prescription to manage it. And please don’t lie to us. We have seen and heard it all. We will take returns but at a restocking cost.

Probably THE most talked about detail when entering the Franken watch game…”ARE GENUINE PARTS REALLY THAT MUCH BETTER?”

Here we will look at two examples from watches that are on the build line bench this morning. The DateJust 41 Rhodium and the OP41 Silver/gold

Genuine dials just have a certain quality on the finishing. The sunburst is more subtle yet at the same time more refined and pronounced. It’s hard to capture that in photos. Gen is on right on both dials. The backs are the real giveaway although nobody sees that!

I’ve added a couple of pics at the end of the genuine hands. Rolex uses Real 18k white gold and real 18k yellow gold. Rep hands are just brass that’s been plated in whatever color finish they are using. You cannot recreate that real gold finish.

The details are pretty convincing. Gen is Gen. Period.

The gen insert is, in my opinion, the best part of the watch 😃

Engraving is nice and crisp. Coherent with the clasp code of the bracelet.

I had the hands and the dial relumed so the white tone is perfectly matching between the two.

Keeping time perfecly.

Vintage 1980s "Soviet-Heart" Rolex Daytona replica with USSR made Slava 2427 automatic movement from the Second Moscow Watch Factory.
During this era, counterfeiters utilized cheap, highly robust surplus Soviet movements before mass-produced Chinese clone calibers dominated the market. This watch is a perfect example of that bizarre manufacturing crossover.

The Quirks & Details:

The Movement: Visually verified genuine Slava 2427 automatic movement featuring 27 Jewels and a unique dual-barrel system. The rotor is cleanly stamped "27 JEWELS / 2427".

The Dial Illusion: Because the Slava 2427 is structurally a day-date movement and not a chronograph, the three Daytona sub-dials are purely cosmetic/static.

The "Blind" Date: The movement's day and date wheels operate perfectly underneath the dial, but they are completely hidden ("blind") because a standard Daytona dial has no date window cutouts.

The Pushers: The 2 o'clock chronograph pusher button is aligned with the internal case mechanics and actively engages the Slava's famous quick-set date lever when pressed (even though you can't see the wheel turn!).

Condition: Cosmetically vintage with standard scratches and aging on the two-tone plating and bezel as pictured. Held together inside by a vintage plastic spacer ring. The watch is currently running.
