Restaurants that aren’t super noisy at dinner time?

Hello!

I’m trying to plan a dinner with my parents, but my mom is very hard of hearing (even with hearing aids) and it seems like every place we’ve been to recently has been so noisy she can’t easily hear our conversations unless my dad and I are essentially shouting (which isn’t ideal for us, or our neighboring tables). To clarify, it’s not music that’s too loud, it’s more so tables being crammed too close together and the overall “chatter” of the restaurant is too loud for her, if that makes sense.

Any recs? Something nice-ish but not crazy fancy/expensive?

Appreciate any good leads. Thanks for taking the time to read! 😊

Looking for friends

I’m post divorce gay man and my ex removed me from all of my social circles. Anyway new life new start and hoping to find friends and people to do things with etc. I love NASCAR, I work for a living, live on a budget, have a bf and am a cat dad. Also a jeep guy too and that according to my bf makes me all kinds of weird lol. I also believe in the theory of snoopy and the peanuts gang…. If your in the waynesville/asheville area and any of this sounds like we might have a common interest or your in a similar situation reach out and let’s talk…

Places to park/car camp in immediate area while we work and stack cash

My boyfriend, our dog and I (35m,2m,35nb) just moved to the area a few days ago. We have both all ready secured work, but are at a loss at where to stay until we can afford an apt. Neither of us use drugs or drink to excess, and we are very friendly and chill. Our dog is a trained service dog and such a good boy :) When we look up info about Pisgah national forest the GPS says something different about how long it takes to get to the disbursed camping every time. If anyone local has information about where its safe to park in Asheville or any of the neighboring areas where we won't be harassed by addicts or cops, please let us know. We would be forever grateful. 🙏

Where do I find other gay women.

ive lived here my whole life, and i dont for the life of me know where to meet other gay women. ive tried dating apps, they kinda suck, and im way too broke/am entirely unable to go to bars and clubs and stuff. im 21, in blackmountain, and honestly just looking for some pussy to eat but romance would be a wonderful outcome too!

Free group for people who are new to Asheville — what's on this month

I help organize Asheville Transplants. It exists because moving here and knowing nobody is genuinely hard, and "just go to a brewery" isn't a plan. Free, about 590 people, and most of what we do costs nothing.

Coming up:

Aug 14 — Tourists game, dollar hot dogs, fireworks after

Aug 15 — Chimney Rock hike (easy, 1.5 mi) + lunch

Aug 15 — Coffee at PennyCup North

Aug 22 — Sunset at Zillicoah in Woodfin

Aug 26 — Ice cream at The Hop + a walk around North Asheville

Sep 5 — Riverside picnic at Carrier Park

Sep 27 — A photo challenge on Haywood Rd where you show up solo and get put on a team of four

Every event has non-alcoholic options and nobody cares if you come alone — most people do. Happy to answer questions in the comments.
