Avoid VRP Telematics on Amazon. Sent a heavily scratched, used Fossil watch and now Amazon is illegally retaining my ₹13.1k after return pickup.

Hey everyone, writing this post as both a massive warning to anyone buying watches on Amazon India right now, and to document a bizarre case of corporate gaslighting.

The Order: * Model: Fossil Chronograph (FS4656)

  • Price: ₹13,194 (EMI purchase)
  • Seller: VRP Telematics (Appario's replacement, widely trusted, but clearly failing basic QA)

The Incident: I unboxed the watch on April 15th, and thank god I had my phone set up on a stand to record a single, continuous, unboxing video. The moment the watch came out of the tin, it was clear this wasn't a factory-new piece, possibly fake. The protective plastic films were entirely missing, the paperwork inside the box was visibly soiled, and the watch's bezel and caseback were covered in hairline scratches and scuff marks. It was a clear customer return repackaged and sold as brand new.

The Support Nightmare: I immediately initiated an escalation loop with Amazon's "Specialist" and "Executive Customer Relations (ECR)" teams. Over three weeks, I dealt with massive internal incompetence—agents abandoning calls after 18-minute holds and breaching their own promised resolution deadlines three separate times.

Finally, on May 5th, a senior leadership agent acknowledged the used condition on a recorded line and manually overrode the system to authorize a return pickup (the regular delivery partners had been refusing to touch it because it was "used").

The Legal Fraud: This is where it gets criminal:

  1. May 6: Amazon Logistics physically picked up the scratched watch from my house. The return was successful.
  2. May 9: Amazon officially responded to a National Consumer Helpline (NCH) docket I had opened. To avoid paying out the refund, they shamelessly told the NCH that the item was delivered "intact" and closed the case permanently without a refund.
  3. The Catch: I checked my Amazon dashboard tracker. The return package was officially logged as "Received" at their processing warehouse on May 10th.

Think about the sheer bad faith here: Amazon told a government regulator on May 9th that my case was rejected, an entire day BEFORE their own warehouse had even physically received the package to inspect it.

Current Status: They have the watch. They have my ₹13,000/-. Because it's an EMI transaction, I am actively being hit with bank interest and processing fees every single day for an asset I do not possess. When I called them back, a front-line agent gave me the standard "Ap nishchint rahiye, May 18 tak refund aa jayega. Specialist team kaam kar rahi hai, hum kuch nahi kar sakte" de-escalation script, without even trying to connect me to the specialist teams despite requesting over 5 times in the last 15 days. Their teams on specialist teams do not revert, social media teams lies on twitter that they have sent a mail, which when I proved that hasn't been received stopped reverting.

I am taking this straight to the Consumer Commission via e-Jagriti next week for Unfair Trade Practices and Deficiency in Service.

Link to my active X (Twitter) thread with the live screenshots of their system contradicting their regulatory lies: https://x.com/sidhartthhh/status/2055578858754314365

TL;DR: VRP Telematics is shipping used/refurbished watches as new. Amazon Logistics will pick it up, take the watch back into their custody, and then lie to the government consumer forums saying the item was "intact" so they can pocket your money. Protect yourselves and stick to authorized offline dealers or verified platforms like Ethos/Tata Cliq Luxury for mid-tier pieces.

Flipkart exchange rejected. Looking for workaround

Hi. Friends,

I have been trying to exchange my one plus Nord CE3 as the exchange value is high like 10K and 17K for 2 different mobiles. In both the cases, flipkart person rejected it stating that the battery is bulged and showed a small bump in the backside which is negligible.

I want to know what I should do to make sure that the Phone goes through?

I got an idea to move to the service centre and replace the battery, however the lines would remain the same, would that solve the problem or anyone have any better alternative solution, please help

Alert : New flipkart minutes scam.

Hey guys, wanted to share an incredibly frustrating experience I’ve had with Flipkart and their quick-commerce service, Flipkart Minutes, over the last few days. It seems their new business model is charging consumers for premium products, completely omitting them from the delivery box, and then keeping the money by hiding behind automated "reporting windows."

I've had this happen on two separate orders within the same week:

Case 1: The Grocery Order (Order ID: OD437554509852751200)

Missing Item: Mother Dairy Cow Ghee (1L Pouch) worth ₹625.00

The Scam: The delivery came, but the ghee was missing. I got in touch with support, and their team internally verified and explicitly confirmed that the item was never delivered. Yet, they flat out denied a refund because I didn't flag it within an arbitrary 3-day "grocery-day return policy timeline." They generated an internal Incident ID (IN26051913260226340901) but refuse to give the money back.

Case 2: The Flipkart Minutes Order (Order ID: OD337580398297526200)

Missing Item: Pond’s Bright Beauty Day Cream worth ₹125.00

The Scam: Same story. The cream was left out of the quick-commerce delivery. When I initiated a return/refund for the missing product, their genius system assigned a delivery boy to "pick it up." Obviously, since I never received the item, I couldn't hand it over to the rider. The rider marked it on his app as "Quality Check Failed at doorstep." Support closed the ticket (IN26051923162932863789) saying the window is shut.

Why this is completely unethical and illegal:

Under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, this is a clear case of "Deficiency of Service" and "Unfair Trade Practices." An internal corporate policy or a 3-day deadline cannot legalize keeping money for goods you officially acknowledge you never delivered. That is literally just unjust enrichment.

I’ve already initiated a formal complaint through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) portal using both incident numbers and support logs as primary evidence.

Be very careful while ordering from them, especially via Flipkart Minutes. If you miss checking your delivery by even an hour or don't fight their glitchy app instantly, they will gladly pocket your money. Blinkit and Zepto are lightyears ahead of this absolute mess.

Has anyone else successfully broken through their automated customer care firewall for missing items? Any advice on escalating this further?

Flipkart is f*cking my life

I ordered a motobook 60 pro on may 4th. since May 5th, i was getting the 'out for delivery' messages every morning and the 'unable to deliver' messages every evening. the delivery person did not respond whenever I called.

he picked my call on May 8 and told me he will deliver it the next day. after that he did not respond again.

i got an IVR from Flipkart asking me to press 1 to retry my delivery. since then, the app shows the order has been cancelled. however I received the 'out for delivery' messages again on last Saturday and Sunday.

The chat screen throws an error when I tried from the desktop and also from the mobile app. the delivery person who comes to my area says he cannot help. I'm unable to cancel the order as it says it is already cancelled. it doesn't say anything about the refund.

kindly help me by sharing the support email ID or contact number of Flipkart, I'm unable to find it anywhere

Ive been facing this since 3 days now in my account, why do I see this delivery fee even on order worth 800+?
What made them so greedy all of a sudden?
Customer support are useless saying youll have to pay ive been a customer of fk since 6-8 years and order groceries almost every day sometimes twice or thrice a day , never return or complain for refund unnecessarily
And they show up with this, also I see this fee for all of my addresses with different pincodes…
Bloody fuckers
Is it just me or anyone else facing the same??

How do I save money on this purchase?

I’m planning to buy a scooter during Prime Days/GOAT Sale. I have an Axis Flipkart card with a ₹45k limit and an SBI PhonePe card with a ₹20k limit. My mom has an Amazon ICICI card and an HDFC BizGroww card, both with ₹2L limits. One of these cards can get me the instant discount, which would bring the ₹1.5L scooter down to about ₹1.4L. I was wondering if it’s possible to pay part of the amount using the card for the discount and pay the remaining amount using gift cards that I buy at a 5% discount (I’m not sure how to do that, so please let me know). That way I could save another ₹5–8k. Is this possible? For example, if the early discount is on SBI or Axis, could I pay ₹45k using my Axis card and the rest through gift cards? Will they allow that?”

I've placed an order worth 1lakh plus on Flipkart, received product and received refund

As the title says, the refund was credited to my cc. Should I worry about anything legal if I stay silent?
